- Traveling Australia: Fraser Island is a world heritage sight. This amazing island is known as the largest sand bar in the world, it has over 100 freshwater lakes, lush rain forest growing out of the sand, crystal clear creeks and a beach over 75 miles long.
This is my second time visiting Fraser island, it was spring break for Queensland and a long holiday weekend, it was a very busy time. If you're planning to visit Fraser island, skip the holidays and school breaks if you want to miss the crowds. Also if your budget allows, book a tour in a smaller group. The large 4x4 buses cost less and look fun but can have up to 40 people, which means the tour guide/driver spends more time managing all those people and it takes away from time you'd rather spend enjoying and exploring nature. Either way it's a beautiful island and a must-see natural wonder in Australia.

Isn't it funny how we don't really appreciate the beauty that we see every day . I live in Australia and recently went to Hawaii for a holiday and said its the most beautiful place I've been !!, but now watching your videos of your travels in Australia it makes me think how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful country . Thank you for your great travel videos xx
that was stunning! thanks again for sharing your travels with us.

Love Fraser. I went as a kid and will never forget it.

It is 1997 since I went to Frazer Island...I nearly drowned swimming right across lake mckenzie..bit stupid!! I will never forget camping overnight on the beach - wild horses-cayotes - beautiful!! This was a trip down memory lane for me....thank you xx
What fun! Love the lime shorts and "I make stuff up" LOL!
I love watching the videos each time you post them, they take you to another way of how people live. Thank you & Be safe on your travels.
This is wonderful!
Another fabulous video.I swear I could almost smell the sea air.

That rusted ship looks really cool when you shot the whole thing. So nice.
I do love your videos and I love seeing both of you together in them.... I also love when you record the sounds of the sea..... So relaxing... Please carry on travelling forever so we can see the world with you... you are so good at it! TFS... xx

Love these blogs Christine & Michael! Xxx
Fraser is one of the top destinations here in Qld and everybody can see why. I go there for the turtles and to watch our magnificent turtles in their natural environment and it is the most gorgeous area. I'm so glad you went to one our most treasured islands and enjoyed it so much. Thanks for another great video:)
Wow that water look so blueee!!!!
Thank you. I love your videos :)
The airplane on the beach was a little unexpected! lol ..really enjoying these vlogs!
It's so nice to see you living the life you've always dreamed of!
Safe travels!! :)
looks like such a beauitful country :)
Great footage of my stomping ground! As kids we used to climb all over the wreck of the Maheno. It was a beached ship back then and not sooo rusty. I've spent many camping trips on Fraser. The surf beach is like a highway for 4WDs.
Best Holiday in the wide world !
Love the whole video esp. towards the end sailing away from the island and the sunset. Can't wait for the next video. I also like the hat Michael is wearing. We might be in Lahaina next year since my sister relocated there. Would love to meet you guys.
I like to see your video there so relaxing and i dont have to spend the money! Lol haha
Love the video! Too bad you two couldn't spend more time there.
i can't believe it. i was IN hervey bay when you guys were at fraser island. and i missed you haha. that's kinda sad...
but anyway, thanks for the video. my family doesn't have fraser island on the "list" of what we want to see while we're in australia, but now that i know more of what's to be seen there, we may change our minds! very helpful! thank you!
Great editing skills
Great vid, took me away :)
I went to Fraser Island and had the same tour guide bus driver!!
Great video we have just finished our video of Fraser Island
I miss your home made videos!!!!!!
you should do traveling for a living
your videos are so good
have you ever used ( get your guide) I use them when I cruise and I love the small groups, less costly tours...if they are available you should check it out..
Wow - has Fraser Island ever gotten busy!!! Eli Creek used to be semi hidden, and you could wade/swim up it for great distances... Lake Mackenzie is usually stunningly blue and clear as glass! Did you see any of the Brumby's? Or Dingos? Brings back a lot of good memories! Am really enjoying your videos of Australia! Thank you!!!
I LOVE Fraser Island!!!! I've been a couple of times now. The first time, we did a rushed visit like you, and then the second time we stayed a few days. It's a shame they took you to that side of Lake Mackenzie. The other side has a beach that is much more beautiful, the sand is white and powdery and the water is clear and blue. And did you swim down Eli Creek?? It's freezing cold, but so refreshing because it's pure spring water. You can even drink it as your swimming down it!
I live in Hervey Bay, the town across from Fraser Island. It is an amazing place, but it is heaps better if you take your own 4x4.
❤️❤️❤️🇹🇳
Wow! Excellent description!! It sounds lovely. ☺ Thank you for sharing. You can DRINK the water?? There's no fishies or bugs??
Haha I live a couple of hours away from there!
Lake Mackenzie used to be more blue but there was a heap of rain and storms at the start of this year so that's why there's so much crap in it haha
Yes I agree, it is usually blue. I hope it was bad timing seasonally. That colouration is hopefully tannin wash off from after storms and is temporary. It must have been disappointing for them unfortunately.
Flies are part of Australia. =D
Guys if you want to sun bake on the beach on Fraser Island park your 4X4 beside you for your safety because the speed limit is 80 km/h and a driver can't see someone laying on the beach.
interesting
Did u come through Hervey Bay
Oops they did help! lol. How hard is it going to be for you to go back to the grind of work?
Still in Australia!?! I thought you would just have been tired from traveling all summer!
I AM FROM SAUDI ARABIA , WE HELP PEOPLE EVEN THEY DON'T ASK
I noticed no one helped push those people out of the sand..is that not allowed or maybe because I'm from small town USA it's different here:)
Good to see what goes on in those tours to Frazer, so I'm assuming you sore no dingos on the island because I'd have thought you'd film it. I'm scarred of them which is one of the reasons I'm not interested in frazer, that and the dickheads that frequent the place, as seen by the stupid white 4 wheel drive wrecking up the beach for joy rides. This is really cool watching your reactions to the qld coast line. It should be beautiful all the way up once you leave bundaberg area:)♥
He is washing the salt off his chassis
Unhealthy was the trip you took in india where all the food was prepared outside and sold there as well. I am glad our food is protected from gross stuff.
That was supposed to be a sad lake, not the colour blue
cheers
It depends on the day. I have seen it where it's very blue and other days when it's not. I have been to Lake McKenzie when it's raining heavily with grey clouds.
omg! that guy's attitude spoils it all! don't like it? go home! no place like it,right?
Moan moan moan...
All those cars running along the beach disturbing the sea birds, harming the environment. This is a real mess
You can't be serious
Its a bit overratted. Give Fraser a miss.
pity they ruined the beach with those cars all over it. Huge amount you did!
+Josephine Winter The beach is a gazetted public road with a 80km/h speed limits, the cops are quite often out there with speed traps. You wouldn't want to go swimming in there - hundreds of tiger sharks live there.
