I just ordered this model from Costco. It arrived 20 minutes ago. I haven't opened the box yet. Your video has been very helpful for taking my first steps. Greetings from Mexico.
I put a layer of bacon on one of the slotted trays then take another slotted tray and put it right on top of the bacon to make a cage and then put it on the center rack and slide it under the rotisserie nubs and cook for 9-10 minutes at 380° and comes out perfect for me.
@Romansm0m it works really well... Much better on 1 tray though. When I did it on 2 at the same time, I had to rotate them to get them to cook evenly. With 1 tray in there, it does it really nice.
Hi Joe, great production on video as always... Your rotisserie chicken looked super delicious 😋 ... You have to get the rotisserie function on your air fryer... Do you think Ninja will bring out a rotisserie model ❓
When you go to set the temperature, there is a + and a - sign to adjust. If you hold BOTH of those buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds, it will switch between C and F.
I just purchased this model and your video is very helpful and answered many of my questions, thank you! I tried the bake function for my usual sourdough bread and the top became very dark. I had it on the lowest level but think that I should have put it right on top of the drip tray. Do you have any advice on which level to use for each function? Especially the bake function? TIA
I haven't eaten a Pop Tart in ages. I'll have to put cherry pop tarts on the shopping list. I have the large Cosori toaster oven and LOVE it. Its main uses are: sourdough toast, homemade focaccia in a 9x13 pan, proofing dough, baking muffins, reheating a croissant and roasting vegetables.
How does this machine compare to a similar machine from Ninja and which Ninja model compares? Thanks. Do you prefer this machine to an equivalent Ninja machine?
I love this air fryer, but today I just received an error code E3 and it turned off. I’ve never seen this before. What does it mean and how do I fix it?
The e3 error is supposed to be an overheat warning. I would check and make sure none of the vents are obstructed... That might do it.... Maybe too close to the wall also if you have it on a kitchen countertop.
thank you for the reply. I had it unplugged overnight and verified that the vents were not covered. I just plugged it in to put in toast, but it didn’t heat.
I've only tried to pause it once, and I did that by popping the door open. Possibly by hitting the same button that you started the cook with may do it... But I haven't tried that.
My Gourmia was smaller but I liked that I could take it out and put directly on a safe surface. I just got this the other day. The few times I used it was challenging because where do you put these trays that have all of the drain holes and grease? So do I have to pull out the drip pan every time I take out one of those trays? Seems a little shortsighted for them to do this in this way. I really contemplate returning this because of thst
I always have the solid one down in the bottom of the machine to make sure all that gets caught. Not sure if you have to do that or not, but it would be a giant mess with drippings if not.
I do that too but my old one had a handle and you just pull out the basket and just put it down. Seems like a dumb thing maybe but it’s a hassle just to grab hot stuff, make sure I’m grabbing the pan holding grease also and find a place to put it all down. That part is my problem.
whats it look like after three months later? is it crusted up and unsightly on the inside? has the dishwasher taken the chrome off the accessories? does the teflon coatings on the trays look dangerous? does trying to clean it look like an impossible job, just after only cooking chicken? thats what I got with my last air fryer, I was glad when it stopped working after a year, $180 junk...
So far mine looks perfect still, but I clean it pretty thourouly after each use. The accessories only get hand washed also. No scrapes or Nicks anywhere yet either. I should probably do an update video for it so people can see. Part of that is the fact that it's a pretty easy machine to clean.
I have had mine for 3 years and it looks brand new. My door is more oven style. It's easy to clean. I have an vac attachment strictly for food surfaces to vacuum crumbs out 1st. This door style in the video looks even easier to clean. Attachments are not dishwasher safe. They are easy to clean and still look good. I disobeyed once and used the dishwasher and my tray warped. I never understood air fryers. I would say it's like a toaster oven. Mine has a dehydrate feature, can make toast, kabobs, rotisserie. Fries do come out crispy. I havent owned a toaster oven as an adult so I can't compare cooking.
Just got mine delivered from costco---I had no IDEA it had a rotisserie function. Problem with using toaster ovens and air fryers is that I bake bread and I cannot fit my pans in an air fryer. But just try getting a toaster oven with rotisserie! same problem. So basically I changed my search term and voila! Now I got all my bases covered--and my countertops too. 🤪
Good review. I've had this for a couple of weeks. It was an impulse buy at Costco. Couldn't pass up the $49.99 price. I'm trying to like it. I have the Instant Vortex which is very similar. The Vortex cooks much faster. This so called air fryer seems more like a counter top oven. It's a little bigger than my Vortex and there are things I like about it but honestly so far I'm liking my Vortex better. I'm going to try just adjusting to the temps and see if that helps. The French fry button takes 20 minutes! I could do that faster in my big oven.
@@JoesPhenomenal My Instant Vortex Pro also has a rotisserie. And a basket. I like that this is a 13 qt where my vortex is 10 qt. Seems like the temps in all the presets are too low. Maybe adjusting will help. But for now I just dragged my Vortex back out.
Just got this at Costco. My daughter bought one a month ago and loves it. I’ve had a Cusinart Toaster Oven for several years and needed to change. Didn’t like the way it cooked meat and the cleaning a pain. All ai
I tried a whole chicken tonight... total failure! I needed to get string and tie it up. That's essential using the spit. Dumped the whole chicken in the basket, flipped it once and yeah needed 10 more minutes. Also have to realize when you take out the basket, you need a plate to put the basket on, or your counter gets drips!
@henryfriedman9108 I set mine out on a cutting board with a drip groove on it to collect all that. The chicken I used was already pre-tied, but I can definitely see that being a mess if it isn't.... Or at lease done sorta loose.
You can manually set the time and temp no problem.. I was just testing the default preset on it to make people aware that you may have to adjust that. Makes sense though since you have to account for the size and weight as well... tough to do with a generic preset.
The inside is aluminum. Everything I've ever bought has that cancer warning on it and references the state of California. I should look that up and see exactly what that's all about.
It was just really light. It had some cruch to it, but I should have probably left it in longer... Just wanted to show what it looks like with just the default settings.
It looked that way in the video, and I considered having to do that but the bottom was pretty crunchy, so I just let it be. A flip would be better if ya like a little more color on it for sure though.

Thanks Carlos! Glad to be of help.
Thank you so much. I just got this air fryer and I am wondering how to start. Your video explain so much, thanks again!!
You're very welcome.
We just got one! I'm really excited to try the rotisserie on this!
Hope you enjoy it!

Gonna have to try it your way.
@@JoesPhenomenal let me know what you think I made some tonight from cold oven it's 14-15 minutes at 380°.
@maxredrum1240 will do! That should be interesting to see.

I believe the power button also works as the start button. I have a similar version by this brand and it starts via the power button
Excellent Review! Thanks
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Currently not in stock at Amazon. It's possible there's a newer model.
Hello. Great video.
Strawberry Pop Tarts are my favorite.
Thank you. Where can I buy replacement parts specifically the trays and drip pan?
Might have to get that stuff directly from sur la table. I haven't seen too much accessory stuff for it on Amazon just yet.

How do you change from Celsius to Fahrenheit on this model

should i assume the slotted trays and French fries basket are not dishwasher safe?
They are Teflon coated. They say they're dishwasher safe, but I always just prefer to hand wash that kind of stuff anyways.
Help a friend gifted this air fryer but it didn't come with any of the accessories, does anyone knows where I can but them? Pretty please
Have you tired contacting Sur LA Table directly yet? They might be able to help you out.

The heating element is in the top, So for baking, I would get that down as low as you can to avoid buring the top. Glad I was able to help ya!

@janetk595 hmmm... Not good. Is it still under warranty? You should contact sur la table... Maybe there is a fuse in it for that or something.
@ yes, I guess this particular unit was made for Costco and has a warranty of one year. I will be taking it back. Thank you for your help.
@janetk595 if you got it from Costco and bought it with your Costco credit, I think they double your warranty also.

Nice! It's a cool machine. How's your bread come out in there?
What about a steak? I get that there is a meat setting, but what if you were cooking a filet mignon for example?
You could put that on the slatted pan, , and then put a full one below it to catch the drips. Works out nicely.

Think you'll like it. Cleans up easy, too.
Can it bake a cake
Haven't tried that in here.... gonna need to do that.
My guess is it depends on if your whole chicken has come right from the fridge or is at room temp.
Definitely.... Good insight.

I'm sure if you set the right time and temp for a chicken, then press and hold the rotisserie it will make a new setting for rotisserie. Good luck 😁

That would be NO pop tarts. I live in an antique Airstream in the midfle of nowhere and I want one of these.
Airstreams are super cool
Hi Jane. I'm watching the video, and so far, it looks like another complicated thing to learn. But friends rave about air fryers, so here I am.
Yeah haven’t had a pop tart since 1987.
Don’t care for the empty carbs. Love the bacon and wings.
Pop Tarts are the devil..... But I love em... I have to not make eye contact with em in the cereal isle.
Made by Kellogg. Hm
What metal is in the inside of the machine? All the description says is metal? And that it has a cancer warning? This would be important to know...
The inside is aluminum. Everything I've ever bought has that cancer warning on it and references the state of California. I should look that up and see exactly what that's all about.
that bread was not toasted

It only toasts on one side. You have to flip the bread to toast other side.
It looked that way in the video, and I considered having to do that but the bottom was pretty crunchy, so I just let it be. A flip would be better if ya like a little more color on it for sure though.
everyone knows brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts are king :)
Pretty darned good stuff.
why do you wear your hat back to front it looks stupid it’s not cool your just following the pack
And it matters to you, why??? Let’s see some pictures of you. I will critic you, and your style.
Why do you care?
What difference does it make how someone wears their hat. Leave the man alone.. I'm sure we could all pick out something from any of us we don't like.
