No shredding ? That is me at my shredding speed .
This isn't even close to shred speed. Look up Michael Angel Batio and Yngwie Malmsteen, now that is shredding

Not much bright as the bridge neck , but still much more warm and clear sound than neck for sure

@@ukcats82This is a premium model Ibanez so it wouldn't have been over 1k at the time. Also the pickups are swapped out with Bare knuckle Juggernauts I'm pretty sure which are what sound great.

Theres so many influences going on here at once all coming out i love it, from blues, harmonic minor/neo-classical, flamenco, jazz, simply awesome.

Man this is so awesome and quite a showcase how much tone is actually comin' from the picking hand... people tend to underestimate that too often! sounds so "easy" but it is truly one of a kind.

I often get down on myself for not being able to sweep 128 note long 16th note rising and falling arpeggios at 4k bpm, but you reminded me you dont have to be able to play the fastest runs to play the most beautiful soul touching music. Rick I really miss these times when you used to improvise over any backing track, with or without shred... This is just amazing!
Sometimes we fail to realize the slow stuff is tougher musically than the bombastic shredding as it takes REAL musicality as well as technique and an incredible amount of control. Love it.
Nope, musical shredding is far more difficult. Bach is full on shred, fam.
What people in comments call slow...almost dismissively, is kinda sad. I'd like to see how fast and well they play. This solo wasn't about any single thing (speed, "emotional" playing, slow bends, playing through the chord changes etc), but rather, it made good use of these specialities to deliver the "right" solo, or the solo the song demanded.
yup. shredding is boring after a few minutes.. soulful soloing will never be dull
