    Hill RZRs thanks for the video!!! We just booked a 3 night stay at WPG for May. Bringing our '22 Honda Rubicon four hours N of home just to see better scenery than Louisiana.
    I need a better group of friends with ATVs but I'm hopeful with onX and AllTrails. Maybe we run into a group that won't mind us tagging along. What headset do you like using?

      Right on! I love WPG. I will be driving through there Friday on my way to Ozark AR with some buddies for a week. For the most part you will run into really friendly people at WPG. I bet you can find some folks to ride with. Anytime we have someone ask to join, we welcome them. The more the merrier for us. Maybe someday we’ll meet up.
      We actually don’t use headsets. Currently, we use Midland mobile radios. Every single machine has the MXT 115 radio in it except for mine, Midland sent me the MXT 500 to do a review on. But they’re all great radios, and that MXT 115 has plenty of power to talk long range. We’ve talked close to 12 miles on those things when you have line of sight. But those are our favorites. If you’re not looking for a radio that you mount in your vehicle, the GXT 1000 is also a great powerful radio. Anytime we have guests that join our group that don’t have radios. We loan them those handhelds so they can talk to us in our machines. I am looking at some other options that could involve using headsets, but currently none of us use them. Thanks so much for watching!

      @@HillRZRs Makes perfect sense on the mobile radios. I know this trip will be amazing. We will hit Fourche during the trip. One trip I'll catch Mack's Pines and Ozark looks unreal from what I've seen. Thanks and keep uploading!

    Explain the trail colors and what they mean please?

    • @HillRZRs
      @HillRZRs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I can't reply with an image, but if you download the trail map online (google Wolf Pen Gap Trail Map) or get it in Maprika, there is a legend on the map that tells you what each color and marking means. Essentially, Pink is the easiest trails (usually flat and wide with little to no slope), Blue are more difficult, usually narrower, with some incline/decline and or small rocks, and Orange is the most difficult with steep climbs, bigger rocks or obstacles to maneuver. In my opinion, the only technical part of WPG is Hawk's Overlook. Everything else I think most any machine and driver can do easily. The other marking indicate which roads are seasonal (closed during hunting season, etc), and which ones are off limits to OHV or motorized vehicles. If you refer to the legend it is pretty easy to understand. Let me know if you need more info, and thank you for watching.

    How many miles did you travel?

    • @HillRZRs
      @HillRZRs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rodney, great question. I usually incorporate some of those stats but didn't. Would have been a good video though to do that. I'm guessing we rode around 45 miles. We didn't start our day til 2:00. There's definitely much more than that to ride, but I was focused more on what I'd recommend for a quick dayride. Thanks for watching!

    Those trails just look like gravel roads?? You can ride. Golf cart.

      There are many trails that are not gravel. In this video I’m showing a lot of one of the gravel roads, but most of WPG is dirt trails mixed with some rock trails. The main logging roads going through the area for the forestry service our gravel. Thanks for watching.

      Yes they did but it’s still on the Google Play Store for android devices. I actually am using OnX Offroad more than Maprika now.
      Thanks for watching!
