I just came across this vid. I like your style of presenting a strategy because you don't speed the video up a 100x and explain enough to be able to replicate it. Thank you! Liked and subscribed. 🙂
Thats what I'm aiming for. Although I do notice when I do longer videos with more explanation, less people actually watch it. So I have to carefully balance...
IMO this guide is perfect except for war with Japan. You should have avoided them to do the rest of the Five Year Plan tree which has some really powerful focuses giving insane boosts to your economy.
I never actually looked at this, but usually choose for local production or designers. In some cases, like Bulgaria, foreign designers require you to be at peace with certain foreign countries - and soviets aren't very good at peace ;-)
When I try to invade japan, it always says I don't have enough naval support to start the invasion even with my whole fleet in the area supporting it. Also whenever I try to justify war against Iran/iraq, Great Britian promises to defend them every single time so I can't puppet them.
Very nice video, I will have to save and rewatch a bunch of times to fully understand the strategy and implementation, like another comment said, LIKED and SUBSCRIBED
Great video! Like challenging but rewarding strategy. The main question is if annexing all that territory would provide less factories? I've encountered some issues: 1. Due to patches or DLCs Turkey is being guaranteed by United Kingdom and German Reich 2. Invading Japan is only possible because AI doesn't assign their fleet at start, which I consider an exploit, also it would not be possible if initial invasion fails
Annexing usually gives less factories due to low compliance, although that builds up. Liberated workers as occupation law is also very good for that. The puppets are all to make maximum use of the COMECON benefits. @1: not if you justify asap. They need 25% world tension to guarantee - the german and UK guarantee are added in 1938 I think when Turkey does certain focuses. Don't let them @2: I fully agree that these quick naval invasions are an exploit. They are also the only way a minor nation (or at least with a minor fleet) ever gets to do a naval invasion against UK or Japan. And there's a high risk of interception. I'll allow it :-)
Great vid and great strat! This strat might not be applicable to the right opposition since in every run I did I didn't get the full navy after the civil war. It would be tricky to invade Turkey, Romania and Japan while also managing the Stalin anger meter AND getting the comecon before doing the curtailment of the farm focus since it locks you out of the 5 year plan focuses otherwise.
Yeah combining this with Right opposition is very tricky. I've done Tsarist once, but had to postpone invading Japan until after my civil war. Hardly any navy left by then so that was very diffficult
I always appreciate challenges that have you build your industry towards a certain goal with expansion on the way! Especially when you also achieve the Soviet Onion on the way.
Loving the strategy. I only have the Soviet Onion and Just Proper Gander achievements for my Soviet runs so I am going to try getting Agitprop and Collective Propaganda before 1938 by replacing NKVD Primacy and perhaps delaying Intervention in China too so I can at least plug away at it during the myriad wars.
The Soviet focus tree is so good! It can do so much for you, and you don't even need exploits for it to take over the world, just using the right focuses. Simply brilliant. My favorite along with Italy's and Poland's for the sheer power it gives you. If you want a major who can pull their weight, that's a focus tree for you.
@@antasil5768Nice video, I wasn’t expecting eating China and Japan so early. Another fun snowball strat is going Trotsky and getting NKVD primacy in order to spam 10-day war goals
Not to my knowledge, and I played this run two weeks ago. The important things are 1) not to capitulate Romania and Turkey until Southern Thrust is done and 2) to pause the game on the completion of Southern thrust and declare all those wars at once. Turn on pause on notifications for that. Good luck!
To get enough Naval Supremacy on day 1 of the war, make sure your Naval Intelligence on Japan is 40% or more. If you have 40%, you receive no intelligence-related debuffs to your supremacy. You will still need to make sure your fleet is on Invasion Support (or Patrol or Strike Force, but Invasion Support will let them provide you with shore bombardment until the Japanese sink them) and that your invasion plan is engaged before you unpause after declaring war, because the Japanese will quickly retake supremacy in the sea tile. In order to achieve the 40%, take the Naval Department and Invisible Ink agency upgrades, decrypt the Japanese cypher, and plop a spy to build network in Japan. You can also infiltrate navy if you want but this isn't necessary. If you have to delay a collaboration government in China to do this, that's fine (you'll still be able to get 100% compliance before the China war finishes), because in my experience you won't be able to launch the invasion without the 40%, and sparing just one spy for the network is fine (you'll want the intelligence to help with the fighting against Japan anyway). I'm not sure if Antasil just didn't show his Japanese spy network, or if he didn't do one and got lucky, but you'll do better with one. Trust me - I tried following the guide and got stuck with the invasion too! But I got it on my second try.
Also, don't have your navy engage the Turks and Romanians after the initial naval invasion of Anatolia. You want to take the Turkish battleship in the peace deal for a little extra help in Japan. You still can't go head to head against the Japanese, but every bit helps to get that initial supremacy.
@@ziya805 Do you get the spy network on Japan too? With that, the invasion should launch as long as your invasion order and your fleet orders are in place and activated before unpausing from declaring the war.
Robert's advice is good. I didn't pay attention to naval intelligence myself. But I always follow these steps (even if I don't always show them explicitly): 1) declare war immediately after getting the wargoal. Let not one hour in game time pass! This is very important. 2) Set navy to strike force. Only switch to naval invasion support once your troops have launched from the port. With Strike force, the navy will sit in the port; with naval invasion support they possibly engage other fleets too soon.
If you're using flame tanks for their bonuses then the cheapest will do. In some cases you use them for armor and hardness as well, they give a little as support company. In that case you can get more armor which makes it a little more expensive

@@antasil5768Hi. I have replayed this multiple times in AAT. I cannot get "zero day" naval invasion trick to work. Wondering if it has been patched. I've tried every variation I can think of - early invasion (May 1938), late (Jan 1940). Whichever I go for the Japanese navy is already out on patrol and on declaration of war, I only have 30% superiority. Because of all USSR debuffs, air superiority is extremely hard to get early, so I don't get a positive multiplier there to naval supremacy. I prioritise spies in Japan over being China to ensure I have some Intelligence superiority to add to naval. Even with decryption active, best I have managed is 33%.
