    I'll admit, I'm jealous, I've never seen a color NBA in the wild before :⁠-⁠)

      I think mine was installed in the Model 5150 when I acquired it, it had the large black bracket associated with early IBM PC expansions but I always assumed it was a regular boring MDA.

    about ega supporting cmda, maybe if you set the pallete registers so they would use the RGB lines as needed? don't see any register that would mask them out explicitly.
    also the cursor at the beginning is in the middle of the character and not the bottom. Literally unviewable.
    PS: IIRC the EGA monochrome mode officially supports only 2 colors, but using bitplanes it should be able to show all 4... or 10 if you add flickering colors for high-persistence displays (switch the pallete every frame).
