You know I’ve been searching Akai MPC ambient and this had never came up. Glad I found this in my suggestions is nice to see someone else using this like me for ambient
Please make these "no holding back" sound design videos using #Akai synths into a series. I like how you thought of alternatives for what you wanted to do in real time letting us see & understand the thinking needed to get the best out of sound shaping. PS I hope the squirrels like the elf food you served them...didn't even know that was a thing but I'm cool wit it. Peace
The modulation matrix is super dope, but as an alternative, recording automations is also crazy. If you lay down a midi track, and then overdub whatever parameter automation with Q-links... In theory you can automate and overdub every parameter to morph from one patch to another and back again if you wanted to. Also to get less robotic modulations, it is super fun.
I'm using the MPC Software, and putting the MPC Live in controller mode with the blue USB cable connected to computer. The computer & MPC are then synced together.
Thanks Vladimir! It's a unique approach to the traditional FM, so I think it's actually quite modern, and will probably help to make way more interesting patches. The mod matrix on this plugin is beyond any hardware I've used. Preen FM can also get close, but not exact. Importing Dx patches into the preen is sometimes off for various reasons. It does not load Dx7 patches, but there's always Dexed or VolcaFM for that.
Stumbled into this. I'm awestruck. I love every single minute of it
This is treasure and no one can tell me otherwise
subbed
Thanks so much!

That's awesome! Always cool to see more obscure uses of the MPC. It really can do anything.
Dude this is such a dope walk through of your through process making a patch on this. Really inspired me to dig deep with the OPx4
Thanks so much @boratezel! The Opx4 is an absolute pad factory.
Hey, thanks for the video. I know that you posted this a year ago, but brilliance never ages.
Thanks so much!
👍. Got it but haven’t done much with it yet. Seems slightly more approachable than my Reface DX.
Definitely. The visual feedback on the matrix slots are a great help too!
More of these please 🤗
More is on the way! Thanks for checking it out

Haha! Thank you. I will make some more of these for sure. I enjoy showing the process!
I haven’t been swayed for getting payed add ons to my mpc but I got that opx-4 on offer and it was a good buy
Great tutorial, great patch. Helpful Thanks!
Thanks! Glad to help.
So cool. Please make more OPx4 videos!
Sadly, the demo expired and it's too expensive!

Such a great patch !
Thanks! This plugin is really powerful but certainly takes some finessing.
thank *YOU* you're doing a good job of convincing me to pick this up. funny floppy disk moment. lol.
Sub'ed for more. I want to learn this. I just started to mess with Vital Audio but this is better since I own MPC Live. Thank you!
Bus 3 doesn't go to any filter because there's only 2, but does go to fx 3.
How are you able to be on both your computer and the mpc at the same time?

Hey! Amazing tutorial. How does it stands in traditional FM context? Can it Sound like PreenFM? Can it load sysex from DX7?
