You didn't make it into a low rider or a dragster. You didn't put any of those disgusting modern rims and tires on it. There are no skirts or spot light. You don't even have any fuzzy dice. You, sir are a rare individual. This car looks great, and now I'm wondering if there is a Nobel prize for not being tacky. If there is, you should be the recipient of it. Very few people build cars nowadays without doing something hideous and tacky.
My hat is off to you, sir,
    WELL DONE !!!

That's my older brothers ride. We were shade tree mechanics back in the sixties when I was a teenager. He is my best friend and mentor.
I suggested a frugal build, like a Rat Rod but he wasn't having none of it. His very first car when he was a teenager was a 1950 Ford, so he got to do with this one what he wished he would of done with the first one.

@@RatRodBobBuilds it's extremely rare these days to see any kind of car that's tastefully done. The shoebox fords are among my own personal favorites.
Robert Mitchum drove one of these in "Thunder Road" until somebody blew it up, and then he got a '57.
If you've never seen it, "Thunder Road" is a classic hot rod hillbilly moonshiner movie. You should check it out.

Unless you're a Bello's Custom rod. He puts the low in lowrider. Yeah, this build looks real good. Just right.

Beautiful car! And great job on bringing what was a dead, abandoned project back to life. You don’t have to apologize for putting a reliable engine in a car that had an empty engine bay! Enjoy that car (especially the AC)!

What a wonderful build, That type of workmanship takes time and money. I have been an auto bodyshop repairman all my life an our claim to fame was to look like you didn't have to do anything. You have hit that mark in your build of this car. .Live and enjoy that cheverolet engine and with the air conditioner blasting to enjoy. I too am an old man who loves is cars. God Bless

This car and I were born the same year and there were many still running around when I was a teenager. Always liked these bodies, the 50 is my favorite. They added turn signal lights and created a better car overall.

There Was a time when I would have nixed putting anything but a ford in a ford. Now I am happy to see someone save that old iron any way they can . Just like your brother put what you can get and what you can afford and keep it running. Great job.

I think we all go thru that .... my first car was a Ford and at that time I was a Ford guy ... then I owned a Mopar and was a Mopar guy etc. Now since I grew up a little bit I just like a good car or truck that looks good and will get me back home without leaving me on the side of the road.

I like it, wish he had went with a ford engine but to each his own and chevy lends well to adapting into many cars. Glad to see that your seeing family Bob. Its funny that we miss them and can't wait to leave after a one day stay. Now if he has more cars to tinker on, one more day won't hurt a bit. Thank you for letting us see what takes up a few minutes. I truly love that model of ford

Really nice looking car. Love those grilles and the wide whites. Love the old school tips on the dual exhaust. That's a labour of love for sure. Craftmanship is really good. Got a few modern creature comforts but still has a lot of the originality. As your brother said he wanted to drive it in comfort. And these old cars should be driven. Looks and sounds like a great driver. Great video. Now we know what you look like under that beard.😊😊😉😉. Be safe and stay well.
