- A fresh approach to achieving high gain distortion in a pedal format, the Hard Drive includes cascaded gain stages and a hard limiting circuit, followed by a class AB amplifier section that drives a “sweepable midrange” EQ and Baxandall bass and treble controls. With its generous external controls, the Hard Drive lets you dial in everything from grinding tube amp crunch to a bona fide wall of distortion that can easily cut through any stage or studio mix.

This sounds very nice. It is refreshing to hear a drive pedal that doesn't sound like a bees nest or a chainsaw . Very musical sounding pedal.
Big shout out to home town boys, JHS!! These guys put out great pedals! And there utube channel is very entertaining.🤘🤘🤘
Okay yeah this thing sounds completely unique and musical, gonna have to snag one ASAP
Sounds pretty cool. Great tones on this pedal. R.i.p cliff
I love how genuine your reviews are! Quite refreshing!
I like mids in my bass tone, therefore I am all over this :D
It creates drive without even being plugged in, that's very unique!!!😳😅👌🏻
You’re new here huh…
@@Therealchuckbailey Nope, I've been watching this channel for years.👍🏻I was just trying to make a (dull) joke...😔😇
You are right that most bass effects pedals strip off the low frequency. I might take a look at this one though.
Seriously, sounds like million other pedals on the market
I respectfully but strongly disagree, this thing has a very unique voicing to me and I will definitely be buying one 🤤
Based
@@Ranglojackson5319just try any guitar pedal on bass.
@@sliverhandsonbasses I mean I have before, I don’t think it would change my opinion! To each their own.
this thing sounds super rad. Looks to be very versatile as well. Yeah it can sound like other pedals if you want, try twisting the knobs a bit to get a new one?
We did. Throughout each video if you watch as the riffs come back the knobs are not stationary. They are being turned.
@Therealchuckbailey oh i know buddy, i was referring to some other comments

Gostei bem versátil
I wish it has a clean blend…
When compared to a DS-1, TS9, or another “standard guitar drive pedal”, it kind of doesn’t need one. Plenty of low end from the bass knob.
"High gain" ever ran a Fabtone with compression pedal 🤔 on bass
Ha! Chris and I were just talking about those old metal Dano pedals. I used to use the FabTone, DaddyO and Cool Cat; Chris used to have a Cool Cat as well. Maybe we can get our hands on them to try a review here someday. Cheers! -Dave
Lo quiero .
how did they make this sound?

Josh Scott, the guy who made shitty pedals worth a hundred bucks, and sells pedals in Stewmac enclosures for at least 200 bucks, gotta give the guy credit, he made a lot of money off suckres, and ruined it for poor working musicians.... But hey, buy his copy for 200 bucks, it's more good.
Less talking please.
No
Might be the most underwhelming pedal I've heard on this channel...
But the topology! 🤗
