Are these really controversial?

  • Yes, they are. Sadly.
Part of my homesteading journey has been learning about the toxins we are constantly bombarded with in our environments. Fragrance, cookware coating, cosmetic chemicals, ingredients in our food….the list goes on.
Shifting to a toxin-free lifestyle doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Do what works for you! Take one step at a time and learn as you go. It doesn’t have to happen all at once.
A great place to start is by ridding of any non-stick coated cookware. This isn’t true non-stick cookware. It has a special chemical coating to make it non-stick. Great for fried eggs, not great for us. Cast iron and stainless steel are fantastic alternatives.
Start by reading your ingredient labels on your food. If you can’t pronounce the word or don’t know what it is, toss. Return it to the shelf. Less ingredients, the better. Learn to cook from scratch. Once you rid of the chemical-ridden junk and start cooking for yourself, that “food” starts to taste like what it really is - toxic garbage slop.
Fragrance….air fresheners, candles, perfumes…these slip under the radar but have serious consequences for our hormones. I don’t think it is a coincidence fertility issues are on the rise when our bodies are bathed in endocrine disrupting compounds. Better alternatives are beeswax candles and essential oils. You can DIY so much.
Read the ingredients on everything 👏
    What do you think?
