One of the best reviews of this wheel on youtube, great video!

That is generally true. This hardware enables exactly that, but in the end it all depends on how well clutch function actually works in each game. In some it feels more natural/realistic than in others.
Great review as usual, you said everything I would have said quite honestly and summed up the reasons I went from G25 to a Fanatec GT2. I would say that in my opinion the removal of the sequential shift from the G25 was no great loss as it was fairly awful to use.
Great review. I was going to get the g25 for iracing--but your vid convinced me to purchase the 27 instead. Keep up the good work.

If you are talking about input lag - wheel's input lag is absolutely minimal and does not affect gameplay. It is a good kit, so I wouldn't hesitate recommending it. Of course it is not the only option out there.
Really? Wow that's awesome, I honestly didn't think they'd include that in these games, no matter what you do in Forza 4 you either spin the tires, or stall you can't roll off, I'm planning to get this wheel along with rFactor, Race 07, ETS2, and raceroom to start
Thanks for the fast reply! I was talking mainly about gran turismo 5

+1 for rFactor 2. It's still not finished, it's beta, but it is really great. There is a public demo, and if you buy the game, you can try out the beta. Physics are good, there is real track rubbering, dynamic weather system, lot's of contents will be added, because the game is highly moddable. The graphics are not the best, but still good, and it has everything that a simulator has to have. The game supports G25 and G27 in default, but I've never tested how the presets work.
Just bought one off Amazon for $200.00. Couldn't pass the price after debating whether to buy or not before. Had a Logitech GT for two years so i'm looking forward to this upgrade.
A lot depends on your location and potential special offers. It usually costs 230-300€ in Europe, but I have heard of special offers as low as 200$ in US. You can not use it with Xbox.
I have the G25 and I didn't like the hard metal of the wheel rim and it was really uncomfortable to hold while racing games.. I went and bought a real 310mm wheel rim on ebay (32$) and a wheel adapter from Derek Speare Designs (30$). Now I can really enjoy while racing and wheel feels complete.. Also if you more specific, get a cool looking shift knob and mod the shifter from chilicocke's you-tube channel..

G27, but the difference in feel between these two wheels is not as big as one would think. They probably have the same or at least very similar electronics, difference in feel and sound is maily a consequence of helical gears vs. straight gears.
Hmm...which platforms do you race on and what kind of budget are we talking about for wheel + pedals? Do you also want a manual shifter?
12 ปีที่แล้ว
Shifter is a separate unit, so it can be mounted anywhere you want ;)
13 ปีที่แล้ว
@BenijaminDoggy Oh it responds perfectly, it's just lacking FFB. I don't think it has anything to do with helical gears. Probably something with preventing oscillation, I am not completely sure.
Great video good review few point missed out but nothing major. Maybe a bit more gameplay like 2 laps of a track to see how it handles would be nice ,still thanks and once again great review. =)
It should work fine with pretty much any PC driving game release in the last 10 years. Did you go into the controller settings and set them up correctly? That is actually Gran Turismo 5 on PS3.
HI Sean, Thnx for the wonderful video on G27.. I was wondering if this steering wheel works with Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) by Criterion Games which is installed on my Windows 7 PC? ... I was planning to buy one soon... Any help would be much appreciated .. Thanks in advance.
It might work, but getting G27 for NFS Most Wanted is a stupid thing to do,Mainly because it's an arcade game and do not require 900 degree steering wheel,G27 is aimed more for simulators.I would recommend controllers for NFS.

@Ahmedissokool I don't know... The usual advice would be to try to reinstall drivers. Possibly download the newest ones from Logitech's website, if you haven't done so already. Sounds like an unusual problem. You can also try a different USB port etc.
Great vid, been looking for a good review for the G27 for ages! I've just ordered a G27 and it's on the way. I was previously using a "Thrustmaster F430 FFB", It's only 270° but such a great wheel for a beginner. But after play rFactor I decided to upgrade to the G27. So you mentioned the 'deadzone', is that because it doesn't respond or because of FFB with the helical gears? THANKS!
ryan smyth Wait, what? You're using the wheel in Arma? Oh well, if you say so. I'm using mine for Assetto Corsa, Game Stock Car, F1 2013 and the like, as well as Gran Turismo 3, 4, 5 and 6. So yes, it does work with PS3, and even PS2. The wheel was basically made for Gran Turismo to begin with.
Yes, and since the 2.0 update It is now fully supported.

@MrKwameR I never used a DFGT, but from what I know brake pedal on G27 is much better - it has more throw which translates in more precise braking. You still have to be careful though ;)
13 ปีที่แล้ว
@ImFasterThanTheStig It's the Rennsport wheelstand. It's a bit over 100$/€ and I think it does it's job well. Of course don't expect absolute stability from a wheel stand, a heavy wooden table always wins ;)

Input lag of all wheels that I tried is low enough that you would never be able to notice any delay. However, a few games or TVs may have high input lag that could make it look like wheel has a delay in response - but it's not wheel's fault.
The wheel isn't fantastic for PC gamers, all the console imports lack configuration in-game (That's consoles for you) so you can't increase sensitivity or decrease. I absolutely love this thing for ARMA 3 tho, anything from the bike, trucks, cars, transports, tanks or anything else on land. Even works well for rotating cannons on the tanks. So many options on ARMA to set how you want the wheel and the overall driving quality is almost real, especially with the TrackerIR. God I love PC.

No, there is no horn :) You can assign any function you want to the 6 buttons on the front of the wheel and to all the buttons on the shifter unit.

@madcat245 ISR didn't really like that converter (search for video "Logitech Wheels on the XBox 360 with the F1 XCM Crossfire Converter"), so for Xbox racing I would definitely recommend you a Fanatec wheel, which is supported and works exactly as intended.
Old video but great review :) I have just bought a second hand G27. Is the 'clunking sound' (described 6 minutes) normal for this week? I just want to confirm mine is not defective in any way.
Thank you sonar and thank you for replying so quickly I would like to tell you that I had a g25 it became faulty and when I called Logitech my g25 was still in warranty and the g25 was discontinued so they are giving me a g27 for free.
great review. i bought the g27 because I can not afford anything higher. What game are you playing at 11:10 during this review? I am trying to find good sim games.
hi i liked your video but i have 1 question is the steering wheel chargeable like the psp and or phone u know what am saying or its need to be plugged when you are playing with it please answer and thanxxx
Hi Sonac,I want to ask you what wheel i should choose between this and the gt3rs v2 wheel with the csr pedals.I am thinking between this two wheels because they are in the same price range of 300 euros:)Thanks and Congrats!!!(Maybe you should make a comparasion between this two since there is no other video:D)

As I wrote in the description, this is not really my wheel, I only borrowed it to make a review. It was a completely new wheel. He got it as a replacement for a G27 that developed some center-loss problems. I am not sure what is going on with it right now, but it is probably holding up well :)
I just got this wheel.Since I had never used a real force feedback wheel, it took me some time getting used to it.Incredible piece of engeneering indeed. It is far from perfect, though.Especially as far as ergonomics is concerned.I don't like the stitches either. They hurt your hand. The same goes for red buttons on the wheel.Really hard, and unpleasant to touch. The led is cool but useless. You can't keep your eyes on the screen and led at the same time.Paddle shifters too soft, no proper click
yes it is a big difference from the g25 its made better they fixed the shifter not cheap and clanky feeling. and they improved the dead zone in it. so yea its a big difference then the g25. if you have a g25 and your thinking of upgrading dont listen to this dude thats just his option id suggest getting g27 its a no brainer if your really into it great wheel for drifting to.
The pedals are just wrong for playing Codemaster's Formula 1 despite G27 being listed as supported wheel. I've been using the clutch pedal as break. The actual break pedal is too hard plus I found the pedals cluttered too close together.Really wish the gas pedal would have more travel to enhance controlability too.Still trying to work out settings to counter balance it.A great toy but overall it made me feel I should have bought something cheaper.
12 ปีที่แล้ว
I actually did not buy this one, as it was a replacement unit for friend's broken G27 wheel, but it usually sells for between 200 and 300 EUR here in Europe.
Hi, I have a question about the clutch. When you are starting off on 1st gear do you have to level out the clutch and gas pedal, as in a real car ? Thanks.
Best review I've ever seen. Giving an idea of the mechanical structure and material is so important yet so overlooked.
One of the best reviews of this wheel on youtube, great video!

I spoke to a mate having it for over a year. It's still just as powerfull and still gives a hell of a driving experience
Nice review man, very informative. I like the way you pay attention to small details
well that's my birthday sorted...
Stephen Garcia same xD
Well done! Long and solid review about the wheel comparing it to the G25, btw pretty nice cam quality =)
I can just drool at this, unfortunately it's quite expensive here lol
Late answer but there is one for 900 kr at bloxket now :)

Getting it on my birthday in 6 days, can't wait!
get ready to wait a few more years for gta6 lmao

Very good in depth analysis :)
They do heat up, but there is nothing wrong with that. They function normally at that temperature.
Thanks for the fast reply! I was talking mainly about gran turismo 5

Really great review , well done!

Thanks for the review. Very informative
I like the tough looking stitches.
Bought mine yesterday. Let the racing begin.
If you bought why are you watching videos go enjoy it
Just bought one off Amazon for $200.00. Couldn't pass the price after debating whether to buy or not before. Had a Logitech GT for two years so i'm looking forward to this upgrade.
you always make perfect reviews, give me the details i wanted the stuff i wanted to see..
Great review, thank you! Good for you! By the way, greetings from Russia!

loved your review!

The best review! Thanks

I m getting this one tomorrow and i cant wait
Its a really cool wheel.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment :)
It's a Rennsport wheel stand and it cost slightly over 100€ I think.
I love how he's in his underwear 5:11
A very nice and well made wheel, but does it work on the ps4?
Not yet as far as I'm concerned. There might be software updates that will make it compatible but as of now, it does not work on the PS4.
DiViNiTY1337 wait not only can i use this for euro truck sim 2 and arma i can use it for my ps3 too for games like grand turismo n shiz
ryan smyth Wait, what? You're using the wheel in Arma? Oh well, if you say so. I'm using mine for Assetto Corsa, Game Stock Car, F1 2013 and the like, as well as Gran Turismo 3, 4, 5 and 6. So yes, it does work with PS3, and even PS2. The wheel was basically made for Gran Turismo to begin with.

Yes, and since the 2.0 update It is now fully supported.

its normal, the g25 had that problem too, it just was noisier than the g27
@MrKwameR What exactly do you mean? I had no issues with braking.
nice walkthrough:)!!!
Will Logitech ever release a updated version? I'll buy one of these next year , hope they do by then. If not mehh, I love it this anyway :D
Great Video!

@sonac what kind of camera do u have? it's really good !!!
Sadly, no. Either use the buttons or make your own E-Brake and wire it up to one of the buttons on the gearshift set.
@Ahmedissokool No problem. Oh that's great! Enjoy your new wheel.
What's your camera ? :o Insane quality and the G27 looks awesome :)
dude you put your fingers on the paddle shifter , there is a plenty of space in the behind of the wheel it's a great wheel

Dude, are you in your underwear? You couldn't put some pants on to review this wheel? 5:12
It made it better ;)
EpicBroForce Umm... He's wearing short khakis...
That looks nothing like underwear to me.
Aryzen Inniriea You are correct, I think those were Nike shorts :)
You people are crazy...
EpicBroForce haha they really are. Good review but some pants would be appreciated
would you consider reviewing the new Logitech g29 or g920 wheel?
Thank you so much! Yes, you get a USB cable with it ;)
I just got this wheel.Since I had never used a real force feedback wheel, it took me some time getting used to it.Incredible piece of engeneering indeed.

Good job,I have it and really like it,only use iracing
Did you have the wheel stand in the packet when you bought it? Have you bought it separately, if yes - what it's called and price?
yes it is a big difference from the g25 its made better they fixed the shifter not cheap and clanky feeling. and they improved the dead zone in it. so yea its a big difference then the g25. if you have a g25 and your thinking of upgrading dont listen to this dude thats just his option id suggest getting g27 its a no brainer if your really into it great wheel for drifting to.

Hi, I have a question about the clutch. When you are starting off on 1st gear do you have to level out the clutch and gas pedal, as in a real car ? Thanks.
Yeah it does works but most of the time I play my games in manual mode (with clutch enabled) so I'll just use a button for the handbrake instead.
@robbiectm88 There is descent resistance, I wouldn't worry about that ;) You won't have any problems driving precisely.
hey sonac. please tell me what wheel do you prefer. fanatec (gt2, gt3) or g27?? and which is better? thanks
the pedals can be moded and so is the steering i am just saying :) its on sale for 250 and at canada so its better upgrade from a momo force
Does this steering wheel offer any sort of emergency brake mechanism?
If not, how do you e-brake?
Thanks!
Nice review mKes me wanna buy it. Hey what game waa that?
@sonac Slovenac, can you spin the wheel for 900 degrees? Thanks in advice :)
Thanks by the way your camera is amazing what camera is it if you don't mind. Sorry if I am disturbing you
