To understand this firstly let’s talk about white and black color representation -
White reflects all colors, so when we look through a prism, we see a rainbow of seven colors - Vibgyor, white reflects light, whereas black coour absorbs light and absorbs all negative energies from its surroundings. If you go to an interview wearing black, you will absorb all the negative vibes from your competitors or the people around you, which will eventually affect your mood and cause anxiety, therefore wear light-reflecting colors. People suffering from depression should avoid wearing dark colors because they will lower their mood and behavior.

if something absorbs light/ reflect light it does not mean that it can attract evey negative/positive energy around us, it not possible, clothes are made from cotton , how in the world is it gonna attract negative energy? this is pseudoscience, i have weared black color dress many times nothing has happened to me,
the fact that u say black absorbs negative energy and thats why bad things happen is completely wrong because if i wear black and my accident happens it is not because of that shirt but because other circumstances

Like black colour clothes shouldn't be too dominant . If we can't avoid black entirely then we may add some other coloured clothes in outift such as yellow, light pink, orange( cheerful colours , avoid too dark colors).
