When I was spiritually dead I always picked the black option of clothes. When I started to awaken and heal I was drawn back to colours especially my favorite since childhood, purple! Especially lilac purple. But also red and pink I love a lot.

You should wear black in positive settings. If you are depressed, wearing black in birthday parties or parties where the vibe isn’t negative and only positive you too will imbibe that atmosphere. I have always wore black for most my life and felt for some odd reason connected to it. Now that I am spiritually awake I wear it even more with more fashion. I am more confident and successful and people are always wondering who I am.

Dear all, I think Sadguruji is talking about the capabilities of the colors and it's interaction with our surroundings. It's not about good or bad colours. We are somehow related with this cosmic world beyond our imagination. He is speaking about how the energies can be utilized or what kind of energy we are pulling towards us in terms of colors. For example, a black object is black because it absorbs all light and does not reflect any. On the other hand, white color reflects all. The same way when you are wearing something black, as tendency of the color, the black clothing absorbs energy, for example heat. And this heat is absorbed to the person's body who is wearing it. A certain amount. Now it's upto you about what you need to take in or not. What I am saying is Sadguruji is not saying whether black is bad and white is good. My grandmother used to scold me whenever i wore black tshirts. She used to say that everyday you pass by graveyard while going to school so its not good to wear black. Never understood her and now regretting. Our culture has deepest meaning even our modern science is still behind it.

So things like gravity, natural laws--these still affect us because we agreed to before birth. So i agree with you to an extent, but l wouldnt write off Sadghuru completely, as l also think hes on to something. For example, wearing leather or tight clothes do have an affect on our field, Just like eating meat, we can bless the meat we eat (and it helps to degree) but our body still works harder when comsuming meat, not to mention dealing with the pain vibration by the sufficated animals . Colors may sound far fetched, but who knows? it could be affecting us on the subtle realms.

I personally wear black clothes very often and I'm extremly happy with my life although we`re living in hard times. In the end it does not matter what you're wearing if you love yourself. But yes I will agree it's a great support for you, if you're in a good environment, with your family and friends and I think that is all that matters besides loving yourself :)

Which makes more sense than a rather simplistic explanation not to wear black on certain days. Let's say you have a big spiritual event on a Saturday, and your mom told you not to wear black that day, what would you do? Let all energies reflect by wearing white? We are somehow related with this cosmic world beyond our imagination. He is speaking about how the energies can be utilized or what kind of energy we are pulling towards us in terms of colors. For example, a black object is black because it absorbs all light and does not reflect any. On the other hand, white color reflects all. The same way when you are wearing something black, as tendency of the color, the black clothing absorbs energy, for example heat. And this heat is absorbed to the person's body who is wearing it. A certain amount. Now it's upto you about what you need to take in or not. What I am saying is Sadguruji is not saying whether black is bad and white is good. He is saying how these colors respond to energies in the outside world.

So i agree with you to an extent, but l wouldnt write off Sadghuru completely, as l also think hes on to something.
For example, wearing leather or tight clothes do have an affect on our field, Just like eating meat, we can bless the meat we eat (and it helps to degree) but our body still works harder when comsuming meat, not to mention dealing with the pain vibration by the sufficated animals . Colors may sound far fetched, but who knows? it could be affecting us on the subtle realms.
