    Hi Doc, very good video! I have the FRFR 108 and indeed it is a bit boomy/bassy, especially when I did put it on the floor in a small room I am using in my house. The way I solved that problem, is putting an acoustic isolation pad underneath it. There are plenty cheap once out there, I paid about 18 $ for mine. It works find for me, as there is now nearly no sonic transmission through the speaker casing to the floor. Just wanted to leave that comment, as it might help out others. Keep it up - fantastic work! Cheers dIDi

    I just started playing Guitar and bought an Eleven Rack, been using the headphone jack with my PC speakers at the moment. As long as I keep the 11r volume under 3 it sounds okay for just in the bedroom. I want to buy this HeadRush item.. can I use both the main outputs from the 11r into both inputs of this HeadRush and it would be stereo? or would I need two? Thanks in Advance

    I am looking for a power amp to use with a scarlet 2i2 plugged into a midi-pedalboard and an iPhone/iPad with Bias FX2. This was I could have a really light portable and reliable system. My plan was to get all the presets ready at home and then use it on small venues and rehearsal room. If in larger places I could always use the output to the main mixer and PA? Would the Headrush FRFR108 work well like this?

    I've had this Headrush frfr108 for a couple months.. but first used it on a gig with my Line 6 Helix just last night. WOW!! I can't believe how great it sounds!!! I just had it on the floor behind me angled upwards... and it sounded incredible. Plenty of bass.. plenty of punch. No harshness.. just sweet tone. My only concern is mine gets really warm almost hot on the back panel after it's been on a while. I also have a Headrush frfr112 and a QSC K12.2.

    Great demo... this was eye opening.
    My multi FX unit has two XLR outputs. Can I connect both to one Headrush FRFR unit or I need two separate units ? Headrush user manual does not discuss this options. Why would they have 2 inputs on one unit and not mention what the purpose is ?

    Good morning AGAIN Doc.
    Yes, it's me for the 2nd time this morning....sorry.
    I just now found this Video and I don't believe I asked you this in my earlier comment.
    I play quite a few songs where I'm needing to get Harmonic Feedback.
    Now, using this Live, or in any situation, the Harmonic Feedback I obtain, if I run from either my Floorboard or Direct Out from the FRFR, will the Harmonic Feedback transmit from the Outputs of the Floorboard or FRFR or will I need to Mic the FRFR for the Feedback to be heard?
    Sorry....but I definitely THANK YOU for your time, help and reply!!

    • @DoctorMcFarlandStudios
      @DoctorMcFarlandStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get natural feedback just from the speaker it self as long as you are playing as a certain volume. I even get it just sitting in front of my studio monitors but maybe to a lesser degree.

    @Doctor McFarland Studios This is essentially the same money as an orange rt20. Do you think it’s good value compared. I have an mx5 and am looking for a new combo setup for home play. I had an rt35 orange but honestly it was way more amp than I needed for my house.

    • @DoctorMcFarlandStudios
      @DoctorMcFarlandStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 20RT is ok. I prefer the 35RT since it has an FX loop. That makes it more flexible. SDNA has a new AI IR option for when you want to plugin to the input of an amp instead of the FX return which the 20RT doesn't have.

    Hi doc, I have a question: most of my rigs are in stereo because I use to have a pair of studio monitors, and worked perfect. I recently purchased a FRFR108 and I'd like to know if I can connect both of the line outputs of my gigboard to both of the inputs of the FRFR, and connect the output of the FRFR straight into the input of my audio interface (for recording in mono), I supposed the output of the frfr has line level, am I right? This setup is in order to avoid to plug and unplug the cables back and forth from the frfr to the interface every time I want to just play or record my tracks. Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this was a dumb question

    Hi Doc! I’m learning to play bass guitar. I am currently in the market for a practice/home bass amp. Would you recommend the 108 as a “practice bass amp”? I don’t intend to buy amp modeller yet so the bass guitar would be either plugged directly into the one of 108’s inputs or bass guitar to mixer to 108. Do you think this will sound OK? Thanks for the video!

    Will this 108 sound better than running my mx5 into a Trace Elliot acoustic amp model on a Peavey Vypyr VIP2 1x12 combo? Is the Vypyr an frfr speaker bc you can put guitar bass keyboard or acoustic into it. Im finding the bass on low strings and treble on high strings too much on single notes in either 5150 SLO or RD9 amp models i cant dial out until it become too midrangy and nasal. Better is subject but im sure going through the FX loop of an amp would sound fine. I wouldn't run it through the input of an amp as that would double up on the Preamp sound.
