I don’t own one, but a GMC 2500 is my dream truck. I did a little bit of reading and everything I saw was pointing to the steering box. Idk if that helps, but I hope it does!
@@JWMontoya Another problem i had with my 2020 2500hd Denali is that the breaks were squeaking. They were speaking everytime i hit the brakes and my truck had 9k miles on it. I took it to the dealership two weeks ago and the had to replace the breaks and the rotors. There's a bulletin online about the breaks. My dealership didn't have a recall in the system so I printed off the bulletin and showed it to them. I hope this helps just incase you have that problem. Other than that, I love my truck. Keep me posted on who does your lift. Im in Conyers Ga and I want to upgrade my lift. I have a 6 inch RC and the dealership I purchased it from sales lifted trucks and that's what they use. I know the lift was cheap on a expensive truck but it came with a 150k bumper to bumper warranty. Including the lift.
I have a 16 Denali HD, and after research and talking with multiple people in the diesel world a steering stabilizer setup installed will help cure this issue. Installing mine next weekend
Loving the channel! I just purchased a 2021 2500hd AT4 6.6 diesel and no issues with with the wandering but steering is a little funky compared to my last truck. (2019 1500 AT4) I was also going to go big with a 12 inch but the BDS 6.5 is calling my name lol
Congratulations! I bought a new 19 in late 18. Hated the 2020 looks back then! Now I freaking love them 🤦♂️....Buuuutttt My truck had a bunch of parts fall off early in its life. So now I don’t want to lose my investment 🥲
And other than Shocks and small items the Rough Country is legit. Have installed all of them and there really isn't much difference in main components. We actually preferred to install a RC truck lift over the others. Fitment was always right and if we ever needed parts they were almost always in-stock. And gave our shop zero grief getting replacement parts or when we placed a stock order it was there. Now their Jeep stuff....leaves a lot to be desired. I think the majority of RC hate is just fan boy stuff. I actually prefer their Upper Control arms over the competition being they have Clevite Frame bushings and a Moog Ball Joint which you can source just about anywhere.
I just bought 2021 Denali 2500 HD. Not even 2k miles and got problem. Its loss power out of no where while I were driving. Took to the dealership next day and it's took a good 5 seconds to start. Yes I meant 5 seconds before the truck finally started. Been 2 weeks now they still couldn't figure out what is wrong with it. But I don't have that problem that you mentioned it. It's run very smooth.
Honestly, the previous owner had a valid reason to go with the rc lift the truck has. I had the rc 7in on my 1500 and I placed an order for bds 8in coilovers lift and it was so tiring that they couldn't get my order in or they kept having issues and I gave up on bds after about 5 months from when I placed it. I actually upgraded my suspension to the 7.5in rc vertex with a half in spacer on the front and honestly I can't complain about the ride quality with that vertex setup and I love how it looks. Still can't wait to see how your truck will look with your future setup!
Bang💥Bang💥... hopefully I will buy mine next year, same year and trim, I love the AT Line up ... I sold my 2019 so I am definitely in the hunt for my next gmc .. 🇺🇸👍🏼

I have a '20 Denali dually; it doesn't wander but there is an uneasy mechanical play in the steering, very different from my '18 Denali dually which had a solid steering feel.
the drifting and slack in steering is ball joints and tie rod end issues. my 18 did the same thing, when i swapped my 7 inch rc for my 8 inch bds, i had one ball joint totally shot and the other 3 were wearing out
I'd ask the alignment shop to add a tad more Positive Caster than spec just a little more than what the Machine claims is in spec.. High speed wondering or looseness is normally a result of negative caster
Check idler and pitment arm some are defected from factory and check the alightment camber should be about 5.0 degrees and caster should have a split of at least 0.5 degrees with the passanger side higher than driver side to correct the slight drift to compensate for the lift
Just Word of Wisdom my 3500 2020 Duramax does the same thing there is a lot of play and shimmying in the steering when you're going down the road especially a bumpy road I took it to the dealership and they said it's caused by electronic steering if it was hydraulic it what does orb the shimian for the fact there's pressure on it at all times maybe a stabilizer shock would help. There is also a lot of electronic problems with my truck as well exedra especially the air intake does not line up as well as the fender Wells all have a hole in them for road debris to get up inside the fenders a lot of the stuff is poor ass design as soon as you pay for it they do not give a s*** would not buy one ever again.
