He played "a sexist, egotistical, lying hypocritical bigot" in _9 to 5_ and a male chauvinist boss and womanizer in _Tootsie_ so I can see how they'd want him to play that kind of character in a profession where it's really not appropriate like marriage counselor.

It was geo-blocked in the U.S. for a long while and it's a lower-key sketch with a cast unknown to younger viewers. That said, it's a great sketch and Dabney Coleman is fantastic here.

What a great skit Dabney was the man. Couldn't do a skit like this today (woke politically correct). How refreshing was this? Love it
This was written by two of the show's few female writers at the time, Rosie Shuster and Christine Zander. You could do it today, though you'd probably have to end it with a more definitive victory for the woman at the end.
They absolutely could do this today and it’d be hilarious. The only ones “killing” comedy are guys like you who subscribe to Prager U…you realize Prager U is a pro maritial/relationship RAPE organization? Dennis Prager thinks all women in any relationship with a man “cannot be raped”
