Hope I get my answers - Does it mold/ fungus after a few days? I shape market clay with water , so is it ok to use water in this one ? Or it will get mold after drying 😅 And will it expand or shrink after shaping up??
@arshk204 Heyhii! I have answers :) 1. Ive never had a piece mold, I do take the extra step to seal it with Mod Podge or a clear varnish spray . That combined with a splash of vinegar in the clay had prevented any molding. 2. I would avoid using water to shape this kind of clay, in my experience it gets really clumpy and gloopy REALY fast. I use baby oil or a little hand cream to help smooth & shape it. * I do use a VERY little amount of water when sticking two sections together but literally like the smallest amount. 3. In my experience this style of clay dose shrink, but not by a significant amount. I would say it "tightens up" more than shrinks. Another note here, if your used to store bought clay this can be a learning curve. Its homemade and like bread can be effected by your local climate so you may need to test it out a few times to find what works best for you. Hope this helps! 💖
I struggled with the "cook" method and it never really worked out for me so I cant answer this fully, but from what seen and read cooked air-dry clay has a smoother surface, while the no-cook is rougher, even after it dried out. Hope this helps!
I havent tried anything else but ive heard that corn flower will also woks. To save a little $$ I but my cornstarch from the bulk section or somewhere like BulkBarn in Canada.
After 24 hours in the fridge, can i use it to make anything and how to store the reamining clay if left and upto how much duration it can be stored???? ❤ It will not become hard right if I use it after 2 3 days?
@smitanayak_ Any unused clay yes, I would keep it in the fridge in the plastic & air tight container. It normally lasts about 2-3 months but i've head it last longer for some people!
@Idkwhattochageitinto Hi! You can totally use olive oil. just be mindful of how much you add, i've found olive oil can make it a little yellow. The oil is there to make it playable and not stick to your hands.
@@GunjanGanguly-r2l To make the clay: ~15 mins Rest the clay: ~ 15 min (this changes with humidity and how much water you use I like to leave mine overnight but I live in a very humid environment) But i've seen people use it right away. To fully dry: A few hours at least, but again depends on the environment, i've found that the slower it dries the less chance for cracking.
You added a spoonful of oil and vinegar after the cornstarch and before the glue at the beginning, so it makes your voiceover confusing; especially after you say you’re adding your “first bit of baby oil” once you had started to knead the dough. It’s also too fast, also makes it hard to follow. And listing the ingredients on the screen and demonstrating how the clay works would be helpful as well. Just some constructive criticism, no harm intended, love. I want to try your method… I love how you folded it over when you first started to mix. You really did a great job with it, as you made it look easy. Thanks for the tutorial, I’m gonna try it but I just wanna confirm regarding the recipe.

If you wrap it up tight in cling wrap and place it in an airtight container it wont dry out. It starts to dry when exposed to open air :)

Can i use wheat flour insted of corn flour
Not for this method ( it becomes lumpy and hard to work with), there are wheat flour and salt clay methods out there that are simmilar!
