I made this exact recipe 3 times and i suggest some tips for beginners
1.if your doing it with a pan I suggest over mixing it before you put it on the stove, like if it looks like your cornstarch is already mixed. Then i suggest you to keep mixing, it will help in the fluffiness and softness
2.when it comes out of the pan when you finish kneading it straightly put it into the airtight container trust me when you finish cleaning it will stay fluffy and it wont dry out
3.i found a sort of substitute if anyone doesn't have glycerin or lotion try using a bit of glue (this tip is for the people who are making small portions of this clay)
Thank you for reading these are tips that work for me :D

Hey can you answer my question please? I made the same clay and it was perfectly made when i did the teardrop test, even the next day it was so smooth. But then i didn't see it for a week after putting it in airtight container and when i saw it after a week it had gotten so sticky. It was sticking everywhere and with everything so i couldn't make anything with that. Can you tell how to fix that please reply me😢😢

@@nargiszafar3115hello!,I am so so sorry for the late reply but I just saw your reply and I think you should probably not have kept in in the air tight container for that long I usually made a clay charm or two everyday,so I think that taking it it out and in the air from time to time (not all the time but sometimes for a portion of 5-7 minutes)so that it won’t be so sticky!
I hope this helped a little bit :)
You should make another batch keep trying until you find something that works for you :D
To fix it I think if you open it and expose it to air for a little while it might harden and then it will become less sticky, just to mention I have never experienced this when making this clay so my information might not be true!,and if this doesn’t work then try again and make another batch, try adjusting it to your own liking!! I hope you fix your clay :)

Hi.. I referred your idea and instead of putting the mixture directly into the pan and stirring.. I placed the mixture in a small steel bowl and then placed that bowl inside the pan and baked it for like 1-2 mins and it was ready to be molded😁
While directly using the pan it did created a mess so i thought i should share my experience ❤️

I remember in another clay video to have like soft material (silk/satin) and put it on that and cover it in like a container then after maybe of it drying in there take off the top and left it air dry for a few days. I'm not sure if this will work but maybe it'll help.

What about painting the clay after drying both acrylic paint & watercolors+ if we use acrylic paints on the clay which type of varnish should we use to secure the paint on it? In both gloss & matt category (mention the brand name) + I've made this clay by watching your previous vedio about how to make cold porcelain clay & it turns out excellent like as you said a very cheap & convenient alternative to polymer clay thank you so much Annie 💕✨ + lots of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰🦋🌻❤️

Hi! I don't know about watercolors but acrylic paint works just fine! For the varnish I use water-based polyurethane and it dries beautifully. I think you can use lacquer spray paint or resin too! You're gonnna have to research the best brand available according to your area. Hope this helps.

Annie what you use for making clay ? Corn starch or corn flour. corn flour and corn starch are not the same. Corn flour is made from finely ground corn kernels, while corn starch is a finer, more processed powder that is extracted from the endosperm of the corn kernel. They have different uses in cooking and baking, with corn starch often being used as a thickening agent and corn flour being used in baking or as a coating for frying.
So the question is what is the best for making air dry clay???

I have a question, with this clay that you’re making, when the charm will harden will it be kind of foamy ? Or like a light rock ? And after becoming hard .. will it become soft again if it’s in contact with water ?
