I am new to your channel, been binge watching for 3 or 4 weeks. I am loving your contend and your ideas. It is helping me think outside my normal box. I am retired, 69 years old and have gotten too comfortable in my style, for example t-shirts and jeans. I am so inspired by your style, now I want to kick it up a notch, but still be comfortable. I will keep watching. Thanks!
The pink colors give you a beautiful glow. Love it! Especially like the lady jacket and the Ralph Lauren shirt. But I'm feeling your vibe on ALL of it!
When it is really cold, the striped sleeve sweater, the Ralph Lauren with a long sleeved T-shirt is perfect! Also I wouldn’t have thought of the flowered thermal and pale pink sweater, but they are great!
Kristen, you casually mentioning the a tip with bleach trick just saved my favorite sweater!! I’m a cream sweater lover like you, but accidentally washed one last week with a pair of black jeans, and it put black spots all over it. I tried 4-5 different products on it all week and had just about given up. With this trick, it all came out! Wish I could hug you now, thank you!! 😊
This makes me ridiculously happy!! I'm so glad I shared that little tip and that it worked to save your sweater!! Woohoo! Thank you for letting me know. 💕
Recently I bought a long sleeve ribbed bright pink t-shirt type top. I don’t normally buy pink. Today I noticed my outfit: shirt, pants, shoes and purse were all thrifted items from different stores. Chaps paisley shirt-$4.00, Levi jeans-$5.99, suede like booties-$14.00 and Coach cross over purse for $4.00. All of it for around $35.00 with tax. I love thrift shopping. Lots of good name brands can be found.
I have had a bit of pink show up as well! Since I’ve stopped coloring my hair (I’m the same vintage as you) I’m noticing how much I’ve been enjoying some soft warm pinks and greens and am leaning into those colors. I’m at the point now where sage and olive greens have formed a good portion of the base of my wardrobe. My favorite from this video was the pale soft pink pullover sweater with the floral t peeking out.
Just found you and really enjoyed this video, agree the distressed looked great, I’m in NZ and it’s summer here so I’m delving into your summer videos now, thanks for the content.
I love your try ons they are so much fun! You have great taste and excellent information. I'm a visual person and really enjoy seeing you put your outfits together! Thank you, and love the pink also 💖
Pink is my favorite new color! I started the same way you did, buying pink here and there. My colors are navy, green, pink, black, white and gray. It all goes so well together ❤❤❤
Inspired by the bubblegum pink lady jacket. It looks sensational on you. I've been on a journey replacing clothes with second hand natural fibers. Really embracing linen yet, like you, I also have to have a mix of stretchy cotton knit tops. I'm a bright color girl now with embracing my silver hair, a former chocolate brown clothing gal when my hair was naturally brown. Interesting how we evolve. Love your content, new subscriber.💐
Yep...i🎉second chance items & 99% of my wardrobe is second hand.. living in hot climate, Australia, 🐨 all for cotton linen etc. So I used to think because I brought second hand I never knew what I would find and anything might pop up and I would buy it. Now I am far more mindful and shop mostly for my style, which is more or less casual and what you'd call scandi, touch of eclectic....BUT never have I worn pink, 💮 until NOW...no not a Barbie thing, but it now suits me as I've gotten older (hello 60) 🌿 so congrats on your pink phase..and thanks for the great vid 😊
Thank you for bringing color into wardrobe ideas. My travel capsule wardrobe includes complimentary colors with a base color. Being blonde, color is so much more becoming than black and gray.
This is happening to me! I wear mostly gray, black, burgundy, brown ... that's my comfort zone in the winter, I'm cool toned with pale skin and silver hair. A few weeks ago I woke up and thought, I want PINK -- a color that literally did not exist in my wardrobe other than one fuchsia cashmere sweater. I've thrifted (in person and via eBay) a few things in varying shades of pink to see how I feel about it. I think they mix in well with my existing neutrals, too!
Pink is one of my favorites! The older I get (63), the more I favor softer colors around my face. Black is too harsh near my face. Great video. Ty. Most of my clothes are thrifted.
I love your new pink pieces! I think you look amazing in them. I love lots of colors but there are a few I don't really wear like yellow but two days ago I thrifted a yellow t-shirt with a large white beaded bee on it. I think I will layer it under either blue or white button downs. Your darker pink button down shirt you have looks just great with everything you styled it with.
I was watching this in the pickup line for my grandkids and went straight to the thrift store after dropping them off. I found a hot pink cotton knit tunic to add to my wardrobe. Thanks for the inspiration. I love that lady cardigan. Xoxo ❤
I would like to find my Winter pastels in tops. The icy colors are like unicorns. I've found bright/midtone colors in knits recently and I'm loving them. I live in South Florida so I can use knits as t-shirts during the few cooler months . Pink is definitely making you happy. You look fantastic in the pinks😊
I'm sure your bright/midtones are gorgeous on you in South Florida! So much color in your world even in winter. Thank so much for your kind words. I am really enjoying the pink in my closet right now! 💓
Recently thrifted a hot pink sweater top with short lace puff sleeves. It is beautiful but when I put it on with black pants it just did not work for me. So I paired it with white jeans and I feel like this toned it down. It can also work with some dressy medium wash jeans I think. I don’t regret the purchase but feel like I won’t get a lot of wear out of it just because it makes a big statement.
Pink is my neutral 🥰 pink always makes me happy and I’m always attracted to it for some reason. I love how you looked in your pink too, Kristen. I try to do creams and tans but I always have to add a pop of color. I love watching your videos and how you mix things up.
Like you, I am pretty much committed to neutrals. But blush pink is the one color that half brought into my wardrobe in the last year, including a cropped pinky coral jacket. I love your pink cropped cardigan! You look fabulous in it!
Thank you for your guidance! I’m about to purge my closet. I am aware that my personal style has been evolving. This will definitely help me reassess. Love how you added the shirt under the striped sleeve sweater ❤️
Pink looks really good on you. We have similar taste with regards to color palette. The majority of my wardrobe is white, black, grey, various shades of blue and the occasional pop of color (pink, red, or yellow). wear creams and light beige but not really camel. I much prefer black to camel. Camel and tan completely wash me out. I also don't gravitate to olive colors. My style ranges from casual to dressy. Mostly modern but sometimes also classic, boho, rugged outdoors, or elegant. Thanks for sharing.
Loved this video with your thinking about styling your purchases. The pink is a great addition to your neutral closet. I particularly liked how you styled the lady jacket. Nice and casual and the pink shirt is a definite keeper in my book. Very you. I like a bit of colour in my wardrobe and find all neutrals just a bit bland sometimes although calming. I think we go through phases with colours. One year it will be one colour and another year I will be drawn to another. Just have to guard against too much variety otherwise you end up with nothing going with anything!
Exactly! I agree with neutrals being calming. I can see how in more chaotic seasons of life, my wardrobe has less color. I'm happy about the pink additions. They're fun! 💕
Hi Kristen. This was a fun video to watch. Pink really suits you and is a nice addition to your wardrobe. Interesting how you intuitively started buying pieces that spoke to you. I love how you combined the pink with your neutrals.
Enjoyed this try-on, thank you. I have recently determined that soft pinks will be my neutral insteal of camel/tan. Love pink. Can you tell me about the jeans?
Ooh, love that! Thanks for you watching. The jeans are one of my favorite Levi's shapes... 550. They were thrifted from the boys' department. I find larger boys' sizes often fit me well.
I always try and wear colour near my face. As a winter season, I gravitate towards colour and not beiges, tans, browns etc. Love pinks and reds on you.
You read my mind. I have been wanting to add pink to my neutral wardrobe, but wasn't sure how to style it. Hands down, the lady jacket is my favorite piece on the rail. Especially because it looks to be a knit. I don't like the restricted feeling of woven jackets under outerwear.
Especially loved that first Chanel-esque pink jacket and the RL shirt, but they were all great on you! And I did like the looks you were "less" sure about...funny because I go through those same thoughts when I try outfits I am intrigued by but that are out of my usual comfortable rules. So hard to apply flexibility to one's self 😜
Truth! It's a fine line between staying stuck in old ways and truly knowing your style and loving that something just isn't for you. Thanks for watching! 💘
I've been looking for the perfect shade of pink sweater at the thrift stores all year! I did find a pair of pink leather Frye sneakers for $20....... Thank you for this interesting video.
Thank you! The camel cardigan that I'm wearing at the start? It's from Quince. And yes, it's the Cashmere Fisherman Cropped, in Oatmeal. It is DREAMY!!
Great vid! I've been looking for a long sleeve T like the white one you said you picked up at Target. But I don't have a Target near me, so I will have to purchase on line.... Would you mind sharing the info about it so I can put in an order? Thank you
Hi💌 I just found your channel and I'm so glad I did! What blew me away was the cashmere sweater with striped arms and the light pink Ralph Lauren shirt. Loved it❤️! I enjoy pattern mixing. I wanted to ask you about the second red sweater you wore. Do you think that --I'm thinking a light blue?-- would work? I'm thinking of the color wheel, how they're opposites. In my mind, I'm thinking yes. What do you think? Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this video, and am a brand new subscriber💌

Ok - is it just me or is anyone else out there concerned about chest button placement? 😮 I have passed on some very lovely pieces because of the button placement.
Hi Leslie- Great question. I'm not usually concerned with the chest buttons because I have a small bust and don't have much trouble with tugging or poor fit in that area. I do have clients who need to be more discerning about where the buttons land and how the top fits. When a top is a win but needs a little tweaking, usually an invisible snap will do the trick. 💕
