@@OnTheWrongThiem federer-esque lol good one, federer may not murdering the ball but play decently fast and placed, still agressive trying to make the point. holt is purely defensive, offense just happens by accident. he is basically sticking to the junior style
22;00 Holt's serve was clearly out but called in. I was at USC and Cal match last Saturday and Holt also called a few points out when playing with Lakat Which was clearly in. Also the assistant coach of USC keep talking to the judge about almost every arguable point when they are playing. Remember when the first set 5;5 30;30 Holt's hit was called out at first, then the coach started complain to judge and then judge changed the call. RIDICULOUS. I like watching Holt's match and his skills are great but those moments are disgusting.
I didn't say I don't like Holt at all. Did you see I said I love his game? He's a great player for sure and only will get better. And I didn't say I hate the assistant coach either. I just said I don't wanna see those moments in a good match.
Yeah I think most of the Collage level and lower ATP tournaments started doing that somewhere in 2012-2013. It was done primarily for speeding up the matches as players taking time between serves has been a concern.
rossi ross actually the rule was implemented due to players cheating and calling let’s on big serves that they were unable to return. If it was just a time thing they would only be saving like 2 minutes at most lol. Not all matches have chair umpires even in d1 college tennis
Proof that American tennis, sadly, has no hope. Couple of D1 guys infatuated with hitting to each other's BH in hopes of some error that doesn't exist at the next level.
Holt guy loses his momentum to himself overcelebrating every point he wins, he loses himself the credibility, the belief that he can win everypoint without struggle. He is saying everytime to himself that it was a struggle to win a point that I have to celebrate. And with this mentality he is not able to win.
wtf with those kids all playing two handed backhands? and why they don't serve in the same position as the pros, they have to be this close to the edge to serve? arghh
You don't have to be fast to be a good mover. Agassi was a perfect example. I think Holt deserves a bit more credit with his merit and is under appreciated considering he's the top dog at a tennis dynasty like USC (and would be at any other top program) as an underclassman.
@Steven I’m sad to see you write a comment that is surprisingly judgmental, and that labels and stereotypes a young player. You are only putting yourself in a mental dungeon.
10:59 clean af
when he flicked the ball off the ground?
Ya I know pretty sick
That first rally was pathetic considering these guys are D1 players.
LadyBellonaAPB all the rally’s stunk
Holt has nice shots but hes too casual in this match.
Thats his play style... have you seen any of his junior matches?
looks like he is playing with a hangover
Just how holt is. Very casual laid back style kind of federer-esque in the fact that it’s effortless

woswas denni what do u mean have u seen feds forehand its a missle
wasnt last serve of first set hit the net?
Maybe not the best from Holt, but such a privilege to see Tracy’s son !!
You can really tell the lack of pace on neutral rally shots compared to average pro's. These guys would be playing defense the entire match.
Yea, I think I could have a really with that and I'm in highschool lol
Holt is really consistent and young, he has potential but he needs more attacking shots and needs to set up easy put away volleys

Weiran Jiang Everyone makes mistakes and It's pretty hard to make perfect calls.
What is the giant circle on fawcetts racket ? I have seen some pros with that and what looks like a swoosh?
Solinco sponsorship/logo
Traci's son playing like he had a hangover....
Been there, done that
Tom Faccett's racquet name anyone?
Do they not have lets?
Brandon's ground strokes were off that day
IronFudge It was windy.. might have played a small factor, but Tom was also on top of his game.
22:00 out
Do they play lets? There 3 and they kept going

Is the ball moving in a slow motion ?
15:14 (set point) is a seriously obvious let cord. How in the hell did nobody see that? You can even hear it!
Tennis Rater ncaa plays lets because players used to use lets to cheat, it was a big problem a while ago.
Oh wow, I didn't know that. Can you tell me more about how they used it to cheat?
I'm waiting to see Redlicki vs. Fawcett !
it was brymer vs fawcett.
Arhum Zafar nice even better
So much grunting but so little quality tennis
Holt plays very push style that’s why he has to finish on a volley
11:36 out

0:44 That was on the line
Watch in slow-mo, it's just out
Was expecting Tom to win
He did

which racquet is holt using?
Wilson Six One 95. they discontinued its production a while back but may bring it back

Vinícius de Andrade how old are you?
Holt's forehand is worse than my grandma's
Tan Phung is your grandmother on the ATP tour?
push
Bro wtf is this
It’s the 3rd game shut up
It was net,on the set point
Bhavya Jain ncaa plays net balls. just found this out lol
That's a fucked up rule!
Needed because people cheat calling lets on good serves
Holt perfect example of rich brat, with no physical ability at all. He's so slow. It's like junior tennis.

@Steven and you call him a brat because....? do you know him personally?
@@david_1697 and come on, he has reached ATP top 500!
