bLaCjAcK Daniels This is why baseball isn’t popular with young Americans. Athletes are not just athletes, they are ENTERTAINERS, and until people like you get that, even the MLB’s best players like Trout won’t even be as popular as some NBA 6th men.

Don’t know why people are questioning these workouts. The man is a pro athlete that has to take care of his body to make sure it’s durable. That’s why he’s explaining it. That’s why he does a lot of prehab. He’s not a bodybuilder, he’s an athlete. Also, everyone saying that Puig, Thames, etc. are bigger. But Michael has a better physique and is probably a better athlete.

Tin Man no ya don’t. And that’s the thing. He can pitch, hit, and play outfield. It takes a heck of an athlete to do that at a pro level.

TuzzinX he actually does a lot of stuff that people should do. A lot of people neglect a good warm up. He does all the warmup to keep his body in shape to do the workout. A lot of people should learn from his routine and try to add some things to theirs.

Reggie Stocker spine health is so important. Especially thoracic. A lot of baseball players have tight muscles on the anterior side of the body so they have to double up on pulling exercises and stretching to overcompensate for forward movements. Which baseball does a lot. Especially pitchers.

We all, college and pro level athletes, we don’t wanna miss any opportunities to prevent us from keep moving up while others ahead while you sit back and recover. I REALLY WISHED I knew all of this in HS. Everything would be different. Labrum tear, UCL, any athletic needed ligament damage = -7mph, -0.5 40 dash. Damn I missed out. Hope kids take note on the prehab, rehab, and importance of doing “embarrassing exercises “ . Won’t be embarrassed when you hit the next level🙏🏽

Frankly I'm just personal taking pointers really. Wish more MLB players took better care of there mobility, stability, and flexibility the way Lorenzen does. Especially if you're a Yankee fan, because ffs Stanton. The muscles and power are great, but only if you're on the field.

And for anyone who would like to disagree the athleticism and mobility Lorenzen has: give that lower body warm up a try. Literally try and do a knee box jump just at 12-18 inches. It'll humble just about anyone real fast. The plyometric power it takes is really impressive.

Really surprised by this video. A lot of these types of videos are corny and they just try to show the player being unnecessarily intense or just show them try to appear to lift the most weight possible. This video is nothing like that. Very informative, very interesting. Great stuff!

This man can possibly be the next big star in Hollywood when his career is over. Possibly, the next Batman...he's tall and athletic & He has a certain charisma for the camera not seen in many actors. I wish him well.

  • @baileysmith4744

if you want to know why he does this, just look at his stats
    Pitching: 22-21, 3.97 ERA, 385 K’s, .252 BAA, 1.37 WHIP
    Batting: .235 BA, .716 OPS, 7 HR, 132 AB’s, 5 stolen bases
    Fielding:
    P: 268 Games, 444.1 innings, 58 Outs out of 113 chances, 3 Errors, 6 double plays
OF: 33 Games, 94 innings, 0 Errors, 28 Outs out of 29 chances
dude may not be perfect, but he is at a major league level in all 3 areas of baseball. he can hit, is a reliable pitcher, and can start in the outfield, get you 7 innings without giving up hits on his account, then come on to the mound and get a Hold or Save

Funny, I can name so many pudgy or scrawny pitchers who are so much better than him, yet he’s barking how “you have to sharpen your clippers or you can’t do it your entire career blah blah”. Lorenzen is a badass specimen by any measure, but Pedro Martinez, Tim Lincecum, Greg Maddux, CC Sabbathia, Bartolo Colon and many more all have HoF careers or cy young awards, 9figures in career earnings and international fame in spite of their scrawny or rotund frames and lack of hitting the gym like a maniac. And I love baseball more because of it. That said, I’ve always been a Lorenzen fan. Dudes just a beast. I always love seeing pitchers hit dingers at wrigley, much less pitchers who legitimately resemble Superman

He's a righty pitcher so that arm probably gets a lot more work both incidentally and purposefully. Most pitchers have a bigger throwing arm than the other.

Jack Sofalot hate to be that “guy” but he’s doing that because over stretching the chest muscle could make it more developed and potentially limiting arm motion over head.
