    If you're looking for an AMAZING chest, shoulders and tricep workout, try this density workout! It's a killer and uses some of the moves I mention in the video: redefiningstrength.com/the-chest-shoulders-and-triceps-density-workout/

      @@redefiningstrengthOC yes and when I made it everyone that I worked with said it's perfect for you ! At 17 I started training in the martial arts and my first teacher ,a family member was in the Marine Corps .He also was one of the most physically fit people you could meet .He instilled in me a desire to workout and it has never left me though my emphasis had changed .I don't practice the martial arts like I did but I practice the 3 aspects of fitness ... flexibility,aerobic capacity and strength .I have been constantly training and growing in it so your workouts are physically demanding but proven to work ! Thanks again !

    I will be 60 years old this August. I’m lean with some nice muscle definition. I am having trouble with reducing my batwings that now have old lady crepey skin. I exercise routine is 3 days on 1 day rest, 2 days on, 1 day rest. I journal all my exercise, with pre-planned workouts. I have been able to build a better shapely butt and have toned my abs, build nice square shoulders but still can’t seem to improve under my arms. Any suggestions for crepe skin? Than you for your input.

      Kristy Jablonski compound exercises are movements that require multi-joint action. Examples are deadlifts, squats, overhead press, bench press, pull-ups, and dips. Isolation exercises target a singular muscle group, like bicep curls, tricep extension, lateral raises. There are more; these are many of the common ones used.

    I am 68. When I was in my early 20’s, I started lane swimming. I was painfully thin, before and after pregnancies.
    No women went to the gym. I knew one girl who went in her early 20’s and people were shocked.
    My arms looked appalling in my opinion. Thin and all muscle. I kept them covered except when swimming.
    Finally, at a step class ( late 30’s ) I took off my t shirt and just had my gym outfit on.
    The instructor said “
    Awesome arms! “ Then I knew things had changed.
    Now at 68, I am working on arms. Had an illness for 7 years and could do nothing. I recovered with no muscle tone.

      Depends on the volume you create with each workout. I personally right now do hemisphere splits and train upper body 2 times a week BUT that matches my needs and schedule. For some clients, I do 3 full body workouts. Just depends on what is realistic for their schedule and their training goals.

    *Question for you... I'm 60 and very out of shape but being in lockdown and finding your channel has motivated me to get myself fit. I'm overweight by about 4 stone and food at the moment is limited. Too many carbs😕 what's your advice to 1. Get me started with exercise and 2. What foods to eat. I'm familiar with a keto diet and intermittent fasting, but wondering if this is a help or a hindrance. Thanks Julie x

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Julie! 1. I would start with very simple foundational work. Glute activation, simply getting up and doing some of the stretches to move more around the house. Even setting a timer for just 5 minutes to do some bodyweight squats to a chair, push ups off the wall and march in place. And 2. For food with there being difficulty finding some stuff, focus on just logging what you're eating. I find that by simply logging, we become more conscious of our consumption and we can then make small tweaks based on what we are currently doing. Because the best way to make changes is to create a healthier version of what is actually SUSTAINABLE :-)

I am a lot stronger. My blood work is much better. My resting pulse is 56. I am now 73. I use a personal trainer but using a favorite coach on the internet could work very well. Redefining Strength popped up on my 'home' youtube the past week and I'm at the beginning (again) of getting in shape, fix my lower back pain and deal with secondary lymphedema in my left leg. I've made it incredibly difficult for myself by giving up 3 years ago and putting on excess of 35kgs and barely moving. so now my 47 year old body feels like i'm a 90 year old. not good at all.
