It's great seeing you get excited and bringing content out again....i know it's been raised before but dam you have a set of nads working underneath a car on a hoist that's not secured to the ground or you have plenty of faith in the hoist stability .....
Cheers mate! Nah man, they’re designed to do that… who am I to argue with an engineer? Haha Ive never had it wobble even remotely, let alone enough to worry it will topple Cheers
@@TheIronEmpire ok mate I stand corrected...I wasn't being one of those pain in the asses that dig and troll I legit had a concern ...all good glad to see ya back again
G'day, Mark. It was funny last weekend up at Tailem bend B.P. I did see you in your white Holden as you had your Ford cortina on the back of the trailer. I was in the car with my Dad heading back to Adelaide, dropping my brother home. I hope you have been keeping well. Please do take care. Cheers from William. The car you remind me of is a Mercedes 190E. Sedan late 80s early 90s. The associated song for that car is sung by. Billy Joel, up town girl. All the wonders of my Asperger's sense of humour.
Nice work brother, firstly I will say that extractors on anything make for numerous and many problems!! Every car I put headers on old or new they have caused so many issues down the road, still wouldn’t go without them, the other thing I will say is after market replacement parts are not why they used to be!!!!!!!!!! Doing a couple of XD Falcons last few years and nothing but problems with replacement parts failing or just straight up not fitting!!!! Means fighting with suppliers to get another and many hours wasted time to re do a job that was supposed to be done! No hoist so trannys on the ground fuckin suck, most recent is a sump gasket on an FMX trans, headers in the way firstly then the new gasket failed so do it all again on the cold concrete! I feel your pain is all I’m saying but it builds character or some shit like that doesn’t it?? 😂😂😂
I have a Trimatic in my 1 tonner and a 700r in my HZ, both with the same extractors as yours, hope i never need to change the seal, good to know, thanks Mark🔩🔧🪚🔨
I think your explaining is better than you give yourself credit for. Keep up the good work
I appreciate that!
Giddyup, thanks for the " tip". I may possibly be needing it for the old Tonner.
Worthy investment
Howdy mark.
Also done this twice on my trimatic & still leaked-ended up replacing the selector shaft & problem solved..
Yeah this shaft is pretty battered, wouldn’t be surprised if it leaks again

I think you did great explaining things and letting people know of a specific tool for the job. Take care
Quick question wheres Jake or hows he going
Hey around mate, just chipping away doing his thing
I replaced a trimatic out of a kingswood once, lying on my back with only a spanner, a car jack and my foot to keep it all balanced.
Been there too mate! Gotta do the hard yard to appreciate real DIY! If ya want it bad enough, we’ll always get it done! 🙌🏼
I own 4 xd,s and 3 transmission,s are leaking, was told could be shifter arm
If the arm or shaft has any damage this will certainly make the seal useless haha.. I think the shaft on this Torana is a little damaged also
I've never had a problem with any of my Trimatics leaking but I know 'Oil Leak Delete' was a rare option.
G'day, Mark.

Wow, great tip, didn't know this tool existed 😮
Tricky stuff m8, good tip, cheers
Awesome video mate! What is the part number for the tool? There seems to be a few different sizes around
Your explanation makes perfect sense. Maybe it’s a car guy thing- we understand the same shit 🤣
Also known as a 3speed traumatic 😂
Keep up the great work bro.

Haha exactly!
In this case it don’t think it was a quality issue, I think the shaft has some damage
