Just a friendly reminder that any love (even for bikes) is not worth hurting yourself any more than you have, so be careful with yourself having that boot off. Cheers to good rides.
I just sold my 2006 GMC Yukon a couple of weeks ago. It had major oil leaks, bad brakes, needed major front end alignment work, oil leaking onto the starter, giant crease on driver's side door hinge, and no heat or air conditioning, a power steering fluid leak, possibly a hydro boost issue and horrible gas mileage. I had a strong emotional attachment to that truck I think because I didn't have a car for about 3 years that sucked. And that truck was my freedom and helped me gain better a job. I almost started to cry when the guy was loading it up on a flatbed. It fired up when he put a brand new battery in it but it would cost me thousands to fix everything. He was a mechanic so he could fix it for cheap. Man that thing could haul ass, big V-8. Miss it so much! That truck never once left me on the side of the road. Super great motor. I think about it every time I start my newish 2018 Ford Edge. Not the same but I sure do like air conditioning when it's 103° and heat when it's 29°. 😢😅😢
It sounds like sentimental value & that's something you perceive. And you're just learning as you go, like we all do.. So don't overthink it too much. You have plenty of time & opportunity! ✌🏼
I get what you’re saying completely.. mental health is so important, don’t feel like you always have to push yourself to post. We understand. Relationships are really hard I get it. I’m so happy you’re talking to someone and I genuinely hope it all works out. You deserve all the happiness in the world.
sorry i don’t mean to make it sound like i don’t like posting, i really do. it’s a way to talk, express things and create something which i find extremely satisfying, even if something flops. problem is in my case it’s intertwined with riding, which too much of anything can be a bad thing, even something as fun as riding. just became a little much i think, and even taking a little break has opened my eyes some
@@thoughtakendon’t be sorry at all. Trust me I get it. It can be alot when your job is posting about something you’re passionate about. It can burn you out sometimes. If this helps at all.. I battled anxiety and depression and your videos help me a lot.. it always makes me happy to see. Just don’t forget to put yourself first❤
for me, anytime I feel regret about giving something up it’s because of the nostalgia. Like maybe if I had that thing back, certain things in my life would be better, and I could return to that place in life. I can’t speak for you, but you’ve mentioned you’ve had great memories on your mt 07, and I think you said it taught you a lot about riding, so I could imagine that’s a reason why you have such a deep connection with it. It gave you good experiences and was significant in your “riding story” (lol that sounds cliche). idk that’s how I feel about it.
I didn't get why you started riding so soon after your accident, but after your explanation it makes sense, you didn't want to grow scared of something you love doing. Also, I don't think sharing your downs is attention seeking, we all go through seasons -happy,sad,angry,estable,etc-. With social media especially, I think the good things are shared more, which is just not an accurate portrayal of life. So seeing videos like this where you share the messy, confusing, negative things is relatable.
Love your videos man. Your the only real motorcycle person I follow, and one of the only content creators I follow. I love your videos man, keep it up! Good to see you healing after your crash
All three are reliable bikes you genuinely enjoyed riding consistently. When you put your R1 away last year for the winter, you were super careful with it and did the oil change and everything so that it would be ready for you to ride first thing when the weather turned nice. I think that you say that you would have always chosen the v4 over the r1 because of how much better it is… but I think there would have still been many days you would have chosen the R1 because the riding experience is more comfortable and meaningful to you. I think your experience with the mt07 is different because you feel like you are outgrowing it. But it could also end up being the bike that just consistently feels like home. If you can afford it, it might be worth holding onto for a little longer while you figure out what it means to you in relation to you other riding experiences and how much you get out of it. When you get your new bikes, compare your actual riding experiences not clouded by future expectations based on specs. Maybe you can consider renting bikes for content purposes?
This summer I bought a 1990 Honda Shadow VT11100c and sold it due to the carbs failing constantly even when new ones were installed and after being rebuilt by professionals. It was my first motorcycle besides riding a bootleg 150cc yamaha zuma scooter and a horrible electric moped before that. THe shadow was horribly maintained so I only got to ride it a few times before it broke down and had to be rebuilt. I loved the way the bike rode and ill never forget the torque that thing had. Despite owning a beautifully maintained and well kept FZ-07, I still miss that BROTHERRR honda for the main reason that it was the comfiest bike I've sat on and I wish I kept it as a project bike. Ill always love that Shadow for the memories it gave me like watching summer night sunsets along the Belt Parkway
Here's a story of regret: When I was 23, my Honda Accord 1993 was stolen. Some punks took it around for a ride and blew a fuse somehow. When I got it back, I had already gotten my Civic 2005 and I didn't need a new car and we had no space for it. My dad sold it to some dude for cheap, real cheap. The car wasn't very good -- the engine had overheating problems and we had already replaced the head gasket, but I was distraught that we sold it. I still miss that car. I haven't gotten into another accord of the same year range and not thought about that car. It got me through college...
also your so real for the winter/fall helping your mental health, usually i feel worse during these months but i had the worst summer of my life but im starting to feel better despite my "best friends" just dropping me. it helped me take more time for myself ig
The vehicle I regret trading in was a 70 barracuda. The cuda model, purple with flat black trim. I got married and started having kids and it just made sense to let it go. As a 72 year old woman I would love to have that car back.
Not sure this is what you're feeling- but you could feel that, because you're selling ANY of your bikes, that you're not going to be able to make the same memories again. You seem to be a sentimental guy, maybe you're linking stages of your life to each of your bikes, and when you sell them it's less you missing the bike, and more you missing the time period where you owned that bike? Either way dude, keep your chin up. One of the realest bike-tubers out there, and you don't deserve to feel down in the dumps.
I sold my 65 ford mustang and have kicked myself ever sense. If you have reservations don’t sell, think about it , wait till your heart is settled with what ever you want to do. ❤😊.
Maybe you just like the thing. Would that be so bad? I ride my Z400 and I love her, but I have my old Honda Civic 2005 sitting in the garage. Every time I get in the car I know I'm going slower, getting less gas mileage, and am worried about her breaking down but I still like her anyways. So idk man.

It’s not the bike itself, it’s the memories that were created with the bike
Your outlook on life is so crazy and beautiful in so many ways. Like you.
