Really liking these review videos I’m learning a lot on this channel I want to buy a tern reel for surface iron Just wanted to know your opinion on its casting abilities?? Or want other options are available for casting irons on??
Thank you really appreciate it! I really like the cast ability on this reel. takes little practice to throw the live sardine out but the free spool is sensitive , as it should be. For casting, I personally like the tern 300 or even 400. I have a valiant rod with a accurate tern 300 for the island yellowtail :)
Made in USA.
That's nice. Good review 💪
Thanks mate !
What’s the estimated mono line capacity on the tern 600. Thinking of either 40/50 lb test mono. Bait casting for GT in Hawaii.
What's the best rod/reel combo for jigging tuna

I 3rd! Seigler LGN!
Nice! How about the new Lexa HD 2019 or the new Fathom II star drag? For the next review.
Thanks for the feedback! We just got a new shipment of Penn Fathom II star drag reels. I will use them and give you a review. stay tuned!
BDOutdoors thanks! looking forward to probably getting the 12 size for 20-30# set up.
@@LevelArtist nice, let us know how you do!
@@bdoutdoorsdotcom-m4p great job on the video. This was the reel I was going to asked about as well.
How much mono will it fit ?
not entirely sure, but it can hold 500yds/65lb of braid. If you ask customer service at www.accuratefishing.com , I bet they would be happy to assist
52" seems like a lot of line per turn of the handle, it might be hard to crank on yellowtail po the rocks or tuna up and down
caught some yellowtail and 30 ish pound yellowfin tuna, I didnt have any problems with it yet :)
I won this reel yet to use it
You would smash the current yellowfin tuna thats in the area
@@bdoutdoorsdotcom-m4p them trips to much for my pockets right now 😞
@@pertiscatchemlester Im the same way. not cheap going out all the time
How bout the tern 400
we would have to get one to test out . so far we just have the 500 and 600 terns
Would you go with the 5:1 ratio or 6:1 ratio tern2 600? And why?
Shimano speedmaster!
Once I get my hands on it. I will make a review! thanks for watching
