    witch reel should i use for a heavy fly line set up i was thinking about a 600?

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  หลายเดือนก่อน

      A heavy fly line set would be a 600N for 65lb or a 600 for 80lb. BV2 is a good choice.

    Hello, lovely reels. Can’t decide inbetween 600N or 500 for a Norway trip. Would appreciate your input. Thanks

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  ปีที่แล้ว

      either one would work nicely. I prefer the 500X with a 6.1 ratios but the 600N is awesome for pulling on larger bottom dwellers. What are you fishing for?

      @@AccurateFishingReels I ended up ordering a 600N 2 speed. Going to fish for halibut, cod and coalfish. All the best!

    What setup do you recommend for the Tern 600N? I was thinking about using it for surface iron.

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been using two different rods. We have a BV-80MH which works very well and the other is a IROD SWK824BR which is 8'2". Both are excellent for surface iron. I have moved away from the 9'ers just because it a lot more work once the fish is hooked. Hope that helps.

    Hi, how does one decide whether to use the BV2-800 or the ATD-12T for their 80 pound setup? Thank you.

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We have been fishing the BV2-800 at night for jigs on fish upto 150 to 200lbs with good success. If you want the ultimate tracker the 12t is a beast and it have caught Yellowfins up to 300 lbs with stacked braid. It is built to pull on larger models with good success.

    800 and 100 size handle 200+ pound blue fins tuna ?

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They will but the gearing in the ATD reels are way more powerful. I use the 800 a lot with good success but only landed fish up to 150 or so lbs. The ATD-30T has tackled plenty of 300 lb fish both Yellowfin and bluefin.

    When will accurate produce a reel 600 N with a 7to 1 fast retrieve reel for yoyo fishing with a drag of about 30lbs
    the valiant 600s light line has the speed but i don't understand why it does not have the drag power, is it that the teeth of the gears have to be very small to produce the speed and therefore cant hold too much pressure?

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have had very little demand for the 7.1 to date for jigging. You can make a 7.1 with gear teeth to sustain pressure. 30 lbs on those teeth we are not sure. I will talk to the twins and see how difficult it will be to produce the 7.1 gears. Thanks for the thought.

    • @2derekjeter2
      @2derekjeter2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AccurateFishingReels a 7.1 maybe very hard to make and get it to hold drag of 30lbs, I know a very popular reel was the penn torque 300x at about (6.4 to 1 )excellent speed for yoyo but failed to have 2 speed low gear and was too heavy, I imagine a dauntless that could do that may be a dream along with a cast control in a narrow version,The Valiant would have the perfect weight but we would be sacrificing the dogs and in my opinion that would not be good, some people still on the fence about ARB possible failure, I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy a reel like that. I will keep the members on my accurate facebook page up to date with any info, thanks again!

    Can I use these reels for bank fishing? How well do they work as far as casting distance? I fish from the bank with 11 to 12 ft casting rods in the Northern California delta for stripers, sturgeons, and salmon. Can they cast or launch 6 to 8 oz weights out to 100 yards?

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can! You will need to practice with setup to be comfortable casting it. Once you have its pretty easy.
