- Flintlock provides a satisfying Souls-lite formula wrapped around a mythical setting. The bonfire infrastructure is pretty much identical to the FromSoftware games it’s influenced by, but other aspects are quite different.
For example, there’s three difficulty options in Flintlock, and the story is told in a straightforward manner. There’s a strong emphasis on quick maneuverability, though I find the dodging and air dash to be imprecise during combat. Weapons fall into three groups: melee axe, mid-range flintlock pistol, and long-range musket.
Flintlock provides a fun Souls-lite experience, one that isn’t fettered down by annoying ultimate editions or an always- online live-service. - เกม

Anyway, this game looks fine by all means. Not sure if I expect this to blow me away but since it’s on Gamepass I have no reason to not try it out. I’m happy to see them do difficulty settings, but in reality if they wanted to do souls “lite” I wish they’d just drop the whole lose souls when you die mechanic. As somebody who really doesn’t enjoy souls games, that’s one of the big things I’d rather go away rather than just making the game easier.
Best part of this is the comment section, SBI have truly exposed themselves, so has Blackrock/Vanguard.
A demo would help give people a decision on whether they want to buy it or not.

I really enjoyed ashen, they didn’t need to hire SBI . While I understand they are required for dei loans but would have been better off backing the game with their own money or a different loan. In fact I am absolutely sure they would have been better off and would have sold so many units by just rejecting dei. Them rejecting dei would have generated interest and free marketing from social media.

Thanks for the suggestion I should have better clarified. That's the major reason I won't pick it up. It's great that there are those gamers who loves the soulslike formula but I just know I wouldn't have the patience so I've yet to play even 1
