Misses a lot of things that are important in the genre like levels letting you put more units on the board and giving you access to stronger units, plus it misses the "risk vs reward" / "push your luck" aspect of holding onto gold for interest and/or spending it to re-roll. The idea of getting multiple of the same unit to level it up to make it more powerful. And so many other small nuanced things that could have easily been mentioned in a summary video like this.

its funny that he mentions that. "so that he doesnt get screwed over the copying the models from dota." when its the dota who did the same thing from warcraft models.
I've just started playing Dota Underlords, and it's surprisingly addictive!
Underlords looks simple but the mechanics are deep

I love the genre. Been addicted to underlords alot since it has mobile version. Havent played tft but thinking about changing since it’s more popular and i played LoL alot before and riot is probably gonna make a mobile version.
Should have researched this more and delved into the history and some important aspects of gameplay like interest on money. The push vs pull and risk vs reward and "push your luck" style of gameplay. You also didn't mention "Arena of Evolution: Red Tides," which is a great auto-battler with some interesting stuff.
I was wondering what Dota Underlords was, thought it was something else not their version of Autochess... Thanks for the lesson.

Thanks for this one IGN! Oddly enough, a lot of people were talking ABOUT how to play and get better at Auto Chess, but no one was doing a simple "what the heck is this" video. I just recently got into Auto Chess on mobile (like literally three days ago, and only four matches) and find it very rewarding. I think it will appeal to casual strategy and moba gamers. But, it smells like something that has esport aspirations. Which seems to be the trend lately...Super casual games becoming serious esports.

Suddenly forget about auto chess from Dota 2 wow... Which is exactly same auto chess mobile version but than made statement like it is headed toward pc which also mean epic store.. Which is very ironical as auto chess is still in Dota 2

It's like pokemon mixed with a tower defense, except you play against multiple other people and the characters you chose are random

Didn't mention that Underlords is on pc android and iOS and team fight tactics is only on pc. I'd say Underlords is the best one to get into if you want to dabble
Though the mobile optimization isnt great yet i hope they make it better through updates

@@xalderin3838 main problem with me is that although the game clearly tries to be compatible with mobile, it still feels too PC for me, especially the UI. Valve is still new to mobile platform so i can somewhat understand, but please improve fast Valve.

I dont know why, but i prefer drodo auto chess than dota underlords..
because autochess popularity and so many company interest in valve made it and still cant compete with the original and riot made . billion dollar company btw

Well, Drodo Auto Chess is really polished and great for newcomer. The only dowside is that Drodo didn't make any new innovations, units, or QoL from Dota 2 mod version. They're too safe and comfortable for my taste
Dota Underlord is really rough, but it made new innovations and changes a lot of annoying thing from the mod. Shame that its really rough at launch.
@@lucratyo2285 at least the game is decent. Tft is still going in a long way to be balanced. Oofs. Balance team don't exist in riot company.

As an underlord player it really does pain me to say this but I agree with it being the least complex out of them all. It's still visually the most pleasing though. And the lack of item rng makes me rage the least compared to tft
still in beta, but it sure is the most eye pleasing imo.

Nowadays, as much as they want to ripoff old W3 map ideas, they will never have the diversity needed to keep the game running long-term, that's why Pokemon Defense™ is still, after 15 years, way better than any of these games.
