I'vs been a big fan since got introduced to ELO back in the early 70's by my uncle Henry, sad to say he died 9/02/23. He lives on for me in the most wonderful music we shared and now my love for their music has another element.
had a babysitting gig back in the 70's. the dad gave me a cassette. one side was "on the third day", i was hooked, wore the tape out! been a fan ever since.
Jeff Lynne is a genius & legend. He's a great guitarist, singer/songwriter & producer. The Electric Light Orchestra music, etc. is uniquely wild. Crazy costumes & colors. 🎸🎹😘🥁🎻🎵🎼Rock on!🎶
Mad as a bag of rabbits , but brilliant , no groups experiment like this any more , jeff really was a genius! Pity he dosnt acknowledge the input of other group members more .
It definitely did for me..... Love ELO!!! I actually never knew anything of ELO until I accidentally saw an album in a record store in 1974/75...it name of the album was "On The Third Day". I had gone to buy a Chicago album, but I HAD to have the ELO album....I been hooked since that day!!!!!
Saviour of the night came Slowly on the silent river And the lord of life came following His sins to be forgiven While the world sat back And laughed away the hours 'Til the dawning of the daybreak
+Dafydd Llywych-Hwllch I'm not even going to dignify that comment from someone who apparently doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Of course they were "miming". it was a simple TV show NOT a concert.
Mike de Albuquerque was bass player in ELO from 1972 to 1974! He left while they were recording their 4th album Eldorado in 74. Jeff brought in Kelly to replace Mike at that time. I don't know why he wasn't on this show.
Oh yeah, KG! Another one for my list of sidemen whose vocals sound bizarrely like their bandleaders'! (Also see Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads, Ian McLagan of Faces etc.)
There He is, Allah, and no one seems to Care. I saw him live on my 50th birthday. Notice the theme? Allah, the creator. John, the Holy Spirit, right freaking there, man! Who IS a son of man! Be afraid. Be very afraid!

The Move, ELO, Orbison, Harrison, Petty, Wilburys... where is there any doubt?
Dina6279 yeah. He is God, the creator. The holy spirit. Google St. German.
On The Third Day & Eldorado were the path rock should have taken...
Magnificent voice and amazing music soundtrack,
Beautiful Jeff, xoxoxo
Utwór bardzo złożony, skaplikowany w odbiorze. Pełen ekspresji, wzbogacający linię melodyczną utworu. Wyjątkowy.
Early Elo really rocked
I Love This Album『On The Third Day』.
Thanks To Posting.
(from Tokyo Japan)

Calm down. They did play some TV shows live.
Both of you shut up and enjoy the music.
Cool video.... but lip synch as was the fashion for live TV back in the day........
No Mike or Kelly.
Before them
Mike de Albuquerque was bass player in ELO from 1972 to 1974! He left while they were recording their 4th album Eldorado in 74. Jeff brought in Kelly to replace Mike at that time. I don't know why he wasn't on this show.
Yes, Mike De A is seated playing the bass on the opposite side of the stage...the camera seems to avoid him
Kelly was always the second best man on the vocals...RIP Groucutt

Not live at all.

WTF???
Song is wonderful, but this is playback, right?
