I attended the New Worlds Record concert tour. The spaceship came up from underneath the stage. Laser lights everywhere. It was absolutely crazy phenomenal. One of the best concerts I ever attended. The music was so loud my ears were on fire 🔥

The way this band used vocals as like another rank of instruments was awesome, it's like listening to different coloured lights darting and bouncing off everything else. I saw these guys in Nacogcoches, TX around 1998. WHY I saw them in 1998 and WHY it was in Nacogdoches, I'll never know. But I'm glad I saw them and it was an incredible moment for me. When I dropped the stylus on the lead-in grove to any side of the vinyl copy of Out of the Blue, I NEVER complained about the audio quality! Lynne demanded the best that could be wrung out of an analog recording medium. It probably sounded at least DECENT on friggin' EIGHT TRACK!

First song I wrote with my keyboard @ 14 1985 was called Underlock With Lucifer. My first ELO song learned to play on Paino, Can't Get It Out Of My Head.

I thought ELO & the album were gonna save the World & help make everyone get along ... then, I saw an interview with Jeff Lynne, who said "I had all the music finished, but I'm shit at lyrics so I just scribbled down any old crap - they don't have any meaning". Shattered my dreams, the bastard, lol. Keep stroking those keys, dude & keep writing, too. 'Music be the did of life' or something.
The ONLY band that even approached this blend of orchestra and rock was perhaps the Beatles. But they didn't even go nearly as far as ELO. John Lennon gave ELO and Jeff Lynne high praise when he said "ELO picked up where the Beatles left off." Such a great band and Jeff Lynne is a master multi-instrument musician. Perhaps the greatest in modern history.
I'm so glad to get to see this as only now at age 73 am I a fan and never would have been able to see all these old performances of Genius Jeff and ELO. Thanks so much.

John Lennon gave ELO and Jeff Lynne high praise when he said "ELO picked up where the Beatles left off." Such a great band and Jeff Lynne is a master multi-instrument musician. Perhaps the greatest in modern history.
I'm so glad to get to see this as only now at age 73 am I a fan and never would have been able to see all these old performances of Genius Jeff and ELO. Thanks so much.
