    I'm afraid I have to agree with a poster on an earlier video that the quality is dropping. Another poster here has already commented on error in the commentary on departure from BNS, I also picked up on some double soundtrack prior to this. Additionally the statement about all XC trains bar one Edinburgh-Glasgow service stopping at BNS is very inaccurate, numerous early morning/late night trains only run along the outer reaches of the XC network e.g. Penzance-Plymouth, Bristol-Paignton and Aberdeen-Edinburgh. For info the 170s are likely to be cascaded to EMR to replace their 156/158s.
    I remain convinced this was a GCSE Media Studies course work project, are you planning to continue for your A levels?

    • @danielstripreports
      @danielstripreports  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean u don't have to watch if you don't want to, your free to unsubscribe. The GCSE comment is rather insulting to be honest, as I've put hundreds of pounds if not thousands into this channel, and I of course intend on carrying on with this channel post GCSEs. Again, it's your choice to watch my videos, the sound overlay was a mistake, I had to edit 2 videos in one day, as it was the day before my holiday where I'm away from my editing software. This videos views are doing very well, so obviously your comments are not shared by others.
      I do hope you have a good day.
      Kind regards - Daniel

      Your content is interesting, which is why I'll continue to watch, however there have been inaccuracies in the past and at least two other posters have picked up on quality issues. I take it you have heard of 'constructive criticism' and 'development advice'? It's what I do in a different world. Just because you spend a lot of money on something it doesn't always result in a quality product.

    • @danielstripreports
      @danielstripreports  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have indeed heard of constructive criticism. Tell me, why do you believe I'm stopping this project because my GCSEs have ended? This has nothing to do with my GCSEs, I do it to share my travel experiences with the internet and make a little money on the side, although I lose a lot of money with this. Give us an answer.

    • @kevinellis8869
      @kevinellis8869 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielstripreports I'm not suggesting you're stopping it, my belief is it was used as part of GCSE Media Studies coursework - hence my comment a long time ago about your target audience (hence more hits and potential income). I would suggest if you're looking at the railway audience you need to be much more accurate and increase the factual content. If you're looking at the 16-21 age group then perhaps a little more information about 'what to do, where to go' might help.

      I don't need to be told how to run my channel, naturally mistakes will be made in videos, I'm still learning, at the end of the day I run my channel the way I want my target audience is anyone, don't care if you're old or young, a wide range of people watch my videos.

    Scotrail used to have a lot of 170s especially at Glasgow Queen Street Station where they pretty much ruled until the upper level was electrified in 2017. They were found operating from Glasgow to Edinburgh as well as Glasgow/Edinburgh to Aberdeen/Inverness. They have since been replaced by class 385s on the Glasgow to Edinburgh route and refurbished intercity 125s have replaced them on the Aberdeen/Inverness route although 170s still occasionally operate those routes

    • @danielstripreports
      @danielstripreports  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah I knew ScotRail had 170s, they had buffet counters originally I think. The 125s are a big improvement.

    • @gftyhify
      @gftyhify 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielstripreports I don’t think the Scotrail 170s ever had a buffet counter but I know some 170s in England did. It’s real amazing how the intercity 125s despite their age still do a very good job and offer a descent level of comfort more so than more recent trains

      @@gftyhify I've just spent some time using an 8 day Spirit of Scotland pass and most of the long distance trips were either 158s or 170s as the HST sets are suffering from reliability issues, according to one employee I spoke to.

      It's now rarely a 172 since I saw more than just a pair of 196's on the Birmingham-Hereford route now.
      The 172's still operate on this line but only for 3 coaches.
