Train Simulator 2020: AP Class 170 EP | Hereford to Birmingham New Street

- On 19th June 2019 South Africa played New Zealand in the Cricket World Cup at Edgbaston. I went to the game but nearly missed the start due to delays and cancellations on the GWR. Handily it was an overcast morning with the odd rain shower which delayed the start of the match until midday-ish. The second part of my journey was to catch this service from Worcester Foregate Street to Birmingham New Street, and it is that service that I recreated in full (starting at Hereford) in this scenario, including as close to all timetabled services as possible from RealTimeTrains, excluding delays of course!

I can remember in my youth sitting on top of Ledbury Hill watching the steam trains far below as they exited/entered Ledbury Tunnel. Great video, too realistic, I know it always rains in England but...
It’s not bad is it, given it’s freeware. The guy that built it has gone on to be involved with some seriously good routes, mostly all the stuff on Alan Thomson Sim.

Yeah, happy indeed. It was just getting interesting when it rained and stopped the game completely! It seems like a different lifetime ago doesn’t it?! Hope you enjoyed the video...hopefully we can get back to whatever ‘normal’ is before too long.
HET and Turbostar having a race at Worcester Forgate Street. GWR calls next at Worcester shrub hill and WMR calls next at Droitwich spa.
That actually happened on the day 😊 That HET was a cancelled service although I’ve no idea where it headed.

At 1:03:15 a green electric speeds through Bromsgrove station with the end of the wires not far away. What happens next?
Hi Colin, if I remember correctly that particular train terminated at Bromsgrove on the day (according to RTT). I may well be wrong though!
@@JetWash944 It just seemed to be going too fast to stop in Bromsgrove! Also there is a lady in a green summer dress who loves to stand out in the rain at most stations!
Yeah, without looking I’m 99.9% certain it terminates at Bromsgrove. The AI in Train Sim does have slightly iffy acceleration and braking characteristics hence why it was going so fast.

Train Sim Cab Rides - 4K 60fps is it really free
There are two versions of the route available. One is completely free and the extended version requires a nominal ‘donation’. I think I paid £5. As with nearly all freeware, it requires you to own certain payware routes for the assets.
