Amazing job work by this channel to present such yachts in such a detailed and informative way. It takes a lot of effort to tour, film and upload videos especially when their accurate narration instead of silent walk through videos. Also the shipyard has done an exceptional job of retrofitting and making a new and better than original with modern equipment
Great presentation Eliad, thanks! I’m sure the yard has also done fantastic work; Türkiye has been under appreciated for the magic that happens there. I can’t say the same thing about Ocean Technical who decided to butcher Azteca to do a fast flip. There is absolutely no truth in their attributed statement “We wanted to retain the Bannenberg feel but bring it to a modern day where it is more practical and usable - whilst retaining the respect to Jon."
Wow !! he is unrecognizable!!! incredible work! too bad there are no longer the bay windows on the second deck, I think that really gives it some character!. crazy it's hard to believe it's the same . " The 49.9-metre Feadship superyacht Azteca has been relaunched and renamed Koru following an extensive, two-year rebuild with Ocean Technical."
That would have been a refit I would have liked to run.. So much potential there.. Your english is very good by the way.. I always enjoy coming here especially when the boat is undergoing a refit.. Carry on!
Fascinating if you've watched the first video. I like most of the changes. Some see the forward skylight as a loss. In real life that would have been a salt spray-clouded disaster most of the time, imo, as well as an HVAC nightmare. I'd rather have my crew keeping me safe and comfortable, not washing windows. That wide staircase at the stern will be great in the Med, etc. Not so sure about rougher waters. Probably why there's no typical double-door access to the salon/saloon ? Two things I'd definitely change; the solid bulwarks outside that great sky lounge; why have those huge windows if 2/3 of the view is blocked ? And the wood flooring in the galley & crew areas seems like a well-intentioned mistake. Ironic that it makes the crew area more pleasing to the eye (probably quieter, too) but much higher maintenance for them. Otherwise, fantastic crew area, though. That engine room is amazing. Classic Feadship engineering & design. Never seen Mercedes generators on a yacht before.
There were two sister ships both based in Club de Mar ,Palma the biggest problem was the main engine maintenance cost as it became older was extortionate because many parts like cylinder heads etc were obsolete.
Really interesting video, very thorough tour of an amazing old yacht. The crew quarters are quite comfortable considering the age when this yacht was built. Extremely odd salon layout -- there is no connection or view from the salon to the aft deck. Refit nice but I don't think white carpeting will work well in the new dining area. Even with a refit, I bet this yacht is a continuous maintenance challenge simply due to its advanced age and complexity. The helm area instrumentation was ancient.
I think the renovation is a failure! It should have been kept completely original. Just updated everything, and it would have been fine. This is just sad.
Love the content. What a job to take on, you must have really deep pockets to undertake such a task, they haven’t even mentioned how much it will cost to keep those huge twin 3000 horses feed . But as they say if you have to ask you can’t afford it. Would really like to know if they end up recouping their investment.
I enjoy your presentations alot. While for me it's interesting to see the yachts unfinished and in the process of refiting, I think presenting it after it was completely done would have been better. Maybe it's just my instincts speaking to me since I am from a country where "this and that will get fixed and get done"means "this is how it will remain".
I preferred the old design. It was special. The new silhouette is fresh, but it looks inside like some 80-90s Motel. Newly build and already outdated design.
fully agree, shame, the 'look' was its character, the facing up windows gone. ...(with the original launch, at Van Lent, I have been on board ) its now one of many..
@@Andy_M986 No the previous look had a style to it, it was one that not all liked but it was a unique design. This one now looks like a converted vessel o play a support role. The took unique and a work of art and turned it to common and disposable, all to try to make a profit.
It's hard for me to understand why you wouldn't just wait until until the refitting is completed to do a walk through. I'm no professional, but if the purpose of the video is to sell the boat, wouldn't it make sense to show it completed and looking It's absolute best?
Unique design before now utterly generic and boring. Who would shell out 10m USD for this when you can get a newer boat like a Nordhavn Aurora 120 for similar money. It will not sell near that price. Shame for all the work that went into it.
you talk too much. When you open the door into the main cabin from the main head, you say "and now IM opening the door back into the main cabin" You don't need to say it... Just open the damn door, and walk in. I can tell that you are back in the main cabin.... by the fact that you are in the main cabin
You cant make a new super yacht out of an older large yacht, this might look alright if it was really cheap but if you want a new super yacht you should buy a new super yacht, this is false economy.
No handrails on staircases??? No seating area in master or guest cabins?? No bidets?? No televisions in all cabins? No updated bridge?? Engine control room not updated?Overall for it to be a Feadship, it is lacking. Wet exhaust?
I like your videos, and all the info. I appreciate you trying so hard to get the English right, and for the most part you do a very good job of it. But if I may, there's one thing I'd like to help with. In the crew quarters, when you describe their sleeping arrangements, the word is BUNK beds, not bank beds. U as in umbrella.
@@YachtMarineBrokerageagree your English is very good. Try to look up pronunciation of gauges (instrument dials) - it’s being done differently than you do. Thanks again.

Thank you Bernard
Beautiful yacht.
Wow!! What a beautiful refit, they left the beautiful wood grains with the marble and modern touches, wonderful job!!
I'm old enough to remember her in the early 1990s. She was stunning. I think that she used to be called Highlander.
Always been Azetca also was Phariso the identical sister ship based in Club de Mar for many years.
I thought it was the finish product after the refit we were going to see, can't wait to see the finish re fit

What a lovely vessel, another great video sir.
Kol Hakavod. Beautiful ship!
You hit jackpot...🎉

I agree hope it's not a charter
Nice ferry....
😂😂😂😂😂
No offense but that's what I said when I saw the top deck
Feadship designs of earlier years were so much more attractive. They also looked seaworthy. 😊
WOW I like it !
I liked the original yacht better
What a barge.

@@YachtMarineBrokerage Can't wait. By the way, keep up the good work, very enjoyable channel.
Does anyone know, what would be the running cost for such ship? Maintenance, docking, crew.. ??
Do the owner's and guest cabins have windows that open and allow fresh air?
How many Passenger they can carry. Can we use like small cruise ship
I'm not sure, are those stairs on the transom wide enough?
In a word: "frightening!"
I preferred the old design. It was special. The new silhouette is fresh, but it looks inside like some 80-90s Motel. Newly build and already outdated design.
Totally agree. What a POS design.
It lacks the finishing required for a $9M yacht. No one with that kind of money is going to buy an old fixer for that price.
What a cobble job! Should have left it original and maintained. What a shame.
How many crew does it take to run
Why, jusy why..... whenever people alter the original design of a yacht it looks like a homemade build boat right away. Such a shame.
They just changed the windows, no exaggeration! and the interior is very beautiful as it is! less 80s but no less beautiful...
The previous windows were hideous, they must have been on Shrooms at the time, looked like a greenhouse.

@gotafarmyet4691 Each to their own I guess.
I'm not a broker, but surely the best way to sell a boat is not when it having the re-fit done?? do video when its done and dressed??? weird!!
The interior definitely needs to be cleaned up.
Where are the rod holders. How you gonna fish off that thing

It has me thinking about how I would refit it,so it doesn't bother me.
Because the marketing is as bad as the refit. Why would anybody choose this goof to talk for an hour
No flow throughout?
It lost its unique design
don't worry, there is a second identical one that hasn't changed.
Unique Bannenberg design destroyed 😢

Looks ruined to be honest
Nice work so far by Ocean Technical and the naval architect.
That was one ugly boat.
Not worth 50M
