      Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are also very nice (and cheap) beginner headphones. Also, since they are very isolating, you can have a blast DJing without annoying your significant other.

      I just want to say I love you man
      You just fixed an issue I’ve been trying to find ridiculous work around for months now
      2 mins into your video, I know what I’m doing wrong

    • @sneakBeats1
      @sneakBeats1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But most people will be DJing with a soundsystem, in which case, both of these headphones are useless...

    • @KenyaInMyHeart
      @KenyaInMyHeart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dj carlo could you tell me how I can fix my sound issue. when I'm using my DDJ 200 the music plays on both sides even when the crossfader is let's say on the left for example and vice versa when it's on the right. I would wish to have music play on the right deck when the fader is on right and left when the fader is on the left ..

    • @guyralls9314
      @guyralls9314 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KenyaInMyHeart sounds like you have your crossfader disabled (prob in software). Can be useful to have it disabled as it trains you to ride the volume faders for basic mixing between tracks (which most people do these days). Then you can switch it back on with a hard cut setting, if the music is a style that’s good for cutting and scratching. Maybe someone disabled the crossfader in software for you, or you did it by mistake? Alternatively you’ve set it to like the very hardest cut setting already, and the hardware isn’t sensitive enough to know when the crossfader is right over… in which case soften up the cut profile in software…

    carlo i just want you to know you are such a beautiful person inside and out. you make everything make so much sense and without you there would be so many young aspiring djs stuck worrying about small things and being held back from realizing their full potential. i’ve been watching your videos for years now and i finally started djing professionally in may of this year and i’ve felt nothing but joy throughout, and all the hardships were insignificant in the face of the sheer fun. from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for showing us beginner DJs the light. it’s hard to find a pro dj like you who’s willing to put aside their ego and prejudices to support newbies in their profession and put out all this amazing content for free. man i love you and your videos and i wish you the best forever brother. god bless🙏🏽🫶🏽

    This was right on time. I started getting bored of transitions, I got really good at looping the next song in as my thing ⭐️and drawing out the transition. I got inspired to start finger drumming with rolls during my transition along with trans and echo thanks to your past videos. This gives me perfect places to start with practicing some new moves.

    I love using high pass filter and EQ with echo or reverb on the incoming track, mix it in by bringing the controls back to neutral then switch the effects to the outgoing track and fade out with the high pass/reverb or echo combo.

    • @djcarlo

      @@djcarlo Bro I rock it. Not as much with EDM. I like faster transitions or drop mixes for that. But house or trance offer endless possibilities for dope blends! Love your videos, they keep me on my toes (and often times remind me keeping it simple isn't so bad!). 👊

    ⭐. My all time favourite trick is using the noise effect in the buildups i am deeply in love with it. 😀
    I dj on my phone since 2020 on wedj app. And i use mostly similar effects.
    And i have a Build Up trick suggestion.
    Open any dj app you use. And go to you pad fx setting and set
    1. echo to 1/2,
    2. reverb to 40%
    3. noise effect to 20%
    4.beat roll of 1/2 and 1/4.
    When a song is 8 bars before the drop add reverb, after 4 beats add. echo and after 4 beats add noise effect. and you can also play with beat roll effect if you want.
    I use this technique many times and i have pretty good results.
    Keep in Note if you want to use echo reverb and noise effect together use it with a slow build up song other use reverb only or echo and reverb together. 😊

    Love the intro. DJing is not a normal art form and less often is more. The most technically skilled DJ is nothing compared to the DJ that drops the right tracks at the right time and commands the crowd.
    Sure, there's a lot of nepotism in the scene, but that statement definitely applies to the average local DJ doing local gigs.

    Hi Carlos,
    It seems that the Beat Slicer Mode is really a creative technique, however, it is not readily available or selectable from the SAMPLER pad. I spent the whole weekend trying to enable this feature by looking at the MIDI options, to no avail. Even if I deleted or replaced a ROW command the Slicer Mode was not selectable and operable as we saw in your video.
    Can you please provide us, with a NEW tutorial on how this mode can be activated in the REKORDBOX 6.6.4 platform and how this mode can be operable from the DDJ-400 pads?
    We are looking forward to hearing you soon!

    I use Sennheiser HD600 open back headphones. I'm also a musician and audio mixer, and for me, closed back headphones really suck for recording and mixing! My intonation is totally off when I record vocals with closed back headphones. I picked up this golden tip up from Chris Liepe here on TH-cam. Isolation is SO overrated when recording. If you've never tried it, I highly encourage it. I heard Bono of U2 records vocals while listening over speakers in the same room. Try it and thank me later. I use Sennheiser HD280's closed backs when I DJ and need to block the sound from the outside.

      @@djcarlo I know traktor is pretty much dead at this point.. but you should definitely have a quick look into the custom mapping and modifier options.
      Essentially it allows for very complex mappings. The "modifier" is a button that acts like a "shift" button.
      If you assign and press modifier button 1, every other knob and button can be assigned a new task. Makes small controllers very fun :)

    Tipp for DJ's. Dont buy the headphones if u wanna work really with it. Dj's workplace is extremly loud as long as u don't do a headphone party. Buy closed headphones not open. If u in the club It sucks if u hear everything through the headphones... It's loud enough already so closed is better for partys

      Ooof, the thing is, I never live streamed, so I'm not too sure. My guess would be to have the RCAs run into a splitter, and hook those two up to the online output and the speakers respectively.
