    Like Greenworks, Ryobi has the deck tension spring/rod on the exterior. I like the way Ego put it out of sight.

    I am buying this Greenworks as a spare to my EGO LM2020 after 7 years.

    Does the greenworks battery also have a limit for how long it can sit in the charger?

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      According to Greenworks themselves, the battery charger has built in electronics that stop charging the battery once it is fully charged

    Which mower is quieter? I noticed you put 75 db on the Ego but what are the decibels on the Greenworks? I have sensitive hearing and am looking for the quietest version and less vibration on the handles.

      The Greenworks, the EGO felt a bit flimsy and I did not like the caution note about leaving the battery on the charger

      @@good2live225funny... I LIKE that there is a warning on the battery/charger. Batteries should not be left on a charger.

    How much run time do you get with the 2 greenworks batteries? Does the greenworks mower feel heavy compared to the ego?

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get two or more mows in - about 1.5 hours. the Greenworks is a heavier mower - maybe 15-20 lbs, they are both easy to operate.

    did you ever have issue with built-in slider on the Greenworks mower? Mine is jammed.

    EGO has a battery problem. I bought an EGO lawnmower in 2021. My only concern was how long the battery would last. That turned out to be a valid concern. The original battery stopped working in 6 months. Fortunately, they replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, 6 months later the replacement stopped working. They told me their replacements aren't covered by warranty so I was SOL. The only option they offered was to purchase a new battery at the retail price. Which was more than I paid for the mower originally. Fool me once...back to a gas mower for me.

      Bought my Ego in 2022. On my second season and no battery problems so far. Everything works great. I also have the string trimmer and the 40 cc equivalent chainsaw. I will not be going back to gas.

      But they have a 3 year warranty? That sounds like an issue I would take to consumer affairs / fair trading. Because that is BS.

      Thanks. My 20 year old Craftsman still runs but is completely rusted through. Zero maintenance. I will also get another gas.

      They had a bad batch of batteries/chargers I was told but all replaced under warranty. Very rare to hear of repeated battery failures ..

      Good luck with that. As of mid 2024 the big manufacturers are DROPPING ice equipment.

    Which self propel drive motor you think is more powerful, I need to mow uphill.

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With the larger wheel set and more weight I would go with the Greenworks. Also the motor sizes are quite different, EGO has either put a really good motor in a very small package or its a bit undersized for the long run

  • @TheSydguy30
    @TheSydguy30 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That seems really stupid on the Ego you have to have the handles fulled extended? So it is not height adjustable then? (since they always have to be extended all the way out?)

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are two separate actions. The handle position is controlled by a lever on the left side and can be adjusted regardless of the handle being fully extended. The mower will not operate unless the handle is fully extended.

    I’ve just bought the EGO mower, it’s a great cutting machine, but one thing I’ve notice on the box, the model number is different on the mower itself!
    On box: LM2125SP
    on the mower: LM2120SP
    That tells me if model numbers aren’t exactly the same, the mower could be a different version, or,, it’s just an error !
    Do you have the same issue?

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no but when I was looking /researching them they seamed to have way to many model #'s reminded me how electronic companies did or do - issue model #'s to big stores so they did not have to price match the other guy

    • @cecilmize1
      @cecilmize1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2120 is the mower only. With battery it becomes the 2125

      @@cecilmize1
      You’re correct. I found that this was the case after doing some searching about it, mower itself has its own model number existed on a nameplate, while the other different model number is for the whole kit:
      Mower, battery & charger

  • @marcmartin3642

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      both are good mowers. Check Costco for warranty info on the greenworks - last year they double the warranty. EGO is $100.00 more, but they say the battery tech is the best. I don't like that you need to take the battery off the charger where as greenworks you can leave it on. I don't like the drive release on the GW you need to disengage a couple feet before you get o the end or the drive stays engaged - EGO releases immediately- GL
