Hey guys. I don't know if you will respond to this, but I just want to let you know this thing. Remember the first dinosaur we saw in the first Jurassic Park movie, the Brachiosaurus? The one that reared up on its hind legs? That's the same in this movie that died in that volcanic eruption. Those two are one and the same.
The brachiosaurus silhouette as they are leaving the island will always make me cry. I know everyone talks about how the later sequels aren't as good but I just really love dinosaurs and seeing them on the screen brought to life in this way makes my inner child so happy.
ditto. even though i KNOW theyre not real, it still saddens me. what makes it worse is we had to put our pup down last week. the house is so empty without him.
What makes it even worse is that it was confirmed that that brachiosaurus is the same one that we first see in the first Jurassic Park movie when Dr. Grant first sees the dinosaurs and the brachiosaurus rears up to get leaves from the top of the tree.
What’s more sad and heartbreaking on the Brachiosaurus that met its demise during the Volcanic Eruption of Isla Nublar it was the same Brachiosaurus that Dr. Alan Grant, Ellie, Malcolm, and Dr. John Hammond encountered in the first _Jurassic Park_ film. 🦕 In fact, the death of that Brachiosaurus represents the end of Hammond's dream.😢
What makes the ending sadder is knowing Blue is the last of her kind and the call she is making is the pack call for other Raptors that will never show up.
1:01:05 The director has said in his interviews that the Indoraptor was indeed more monster than dinosaur and I like how they showed his movements to be so different from the rest, so deliberate, like that scene where he slowly reaches out for Maisie's hair.
When I went to see this at the theater, there was a dad with his two girls there sitting next to me. When the brachiosaurus was calling out to the boat before dying, the two girls were just sobbing their eyes out.
I like how Henry Wu isn’t your typical villain motivated by greed or financial/political power. He’s simply blinded by the power of science. He doesn’t care about getting rich or taking control of people or anything like the others, he just wants to be able to push his experiments as far as he can. And he wants to be the first. Edit: I should’ve clarified I meant typical for this franchise. Most of the Jurassic villains either want money or to have power over others and they will use the dinosaurs to reach that goal. He’s an outlier when amongst a club of capitalists. In media in general, yes he follows the mad scientist trope which is hella typical. 😅
Kinda hard to count him as a villain because of that for me. Obviously all characteristics of any character are from people, but Wu just seems like a guy that like you said will do what he can to do what he was born to do.
@@MickeyMo600 Really? Because real life ppl such as certain infamous nazi "doctors" were doing things for these exact same reasons, simply to advance science and satisfy their morbid curiosity. That doesn't make them not a villain
@@MickeyMo600 I think it's safe to say that if a character plays God, and this act gets people hurt or worse, then they get a free seat on the Villain's table. Even if they didn't mean to hurt anyone and was just trying to further their achievements, they still did the work that they weren't supposed to.
Now why did you have to tell us that?! I've only just come to terms with watching that poor brachiosaur standing at the edge of the jetty and hoping they'll come back to save her.😢😢
Bayona did that on purpose, the stark change of the films genre. In an article he said "The first half, you have a whole dinosaur movie on the island, so you have what you expect from a Jurassic movie, Then the second half moves to a totally different environment that feels more suspenseful, darker, claustrophobic, and even has this kind of gothic element, which I love." So the genre switch was on purpose, I personally loved the fact we got to experience both genres in one. It makes the film more interesting to me. The horror half is my favorite half.
I know that not everyone likes this movie but I enjoyed it very much! My parents and I saw it and we loved it. The Brachiosaurus dying is the same one that Alan, Ellie, Malcolm and Hammond encountered back in 1993. The death of the dinosaur represents the death of Hammond's dream. The opening scene is based on the original ending from the first JURASSIC PARK film, where the T-Rex chases Grant to the helicopter, the Rex grabs hold of the skid, while Grant shoots the dinosaur in the mouth with a flare gun, and it lets go, while the helicopter flies back to the Mainland. It was Chris Pratt's idea that Owen should have a normal life without dealing with any dinosaurs, but when he learns that Blue is in danger, he decides to go on a rescue operation to save her from extinction. The volcano exploding is based on the original ending from the novel, where the Costa Rican Government bombs the island with Napalm to make sure none of the dinosaurs get off the island. The sounds of the Indoraptor are that of a Chihuahua, Lion, Dolphin, Pig and a dental drill. Michael Giacchino wanted the score to sound epic and Gothic as well as paying homage to composer Bernard Hermann.
And that is what made my cry in the theatres. That one moment as they leave the island and the brachi made me cry out loud in the theatre right as it happened.
Bernard Hermann? His last scored film was released in 1976, the year after he died. A bit late to be paying homage to a composer that has nothing to do with the JP franchise.
This movie annoys the heck out of me because it's completely pointless and nonsensical if you remember Site B. Dinos wouldn't be wiped out if Isla Nublar were destroyed because Isla Sorna would still be there chillin. This one even had Jeff Goldblum in it who had a whole movie about him being stuck on Isla Sorna! Did he and everyone else just forget about it? They should have mentioned that they wiped out the dinos on Site B or something after the third movie so that the plot makes sense. It just seems that the writers put no effort into making the JW movies have much of any consistency with the JP trilogy.
While the actual film is set 3 years after _Jurassic World_ surprisingly the film’s opening scene with the mercenaries taking the remains of the Indominus Rex at the abandoned Jurassic World is actually set a couple of months (5-6 months at most) after _Jurassic World_ which was later confirmed through the show _Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous_ in the Season 3 episode, "Whatever It Takes"
while i enjoyed the series for the most part, i wish they hadnt pushed their gay agenda on everyone. they couldnt let well enough alone. and before any of you call me a homophobe, you should know that im a gay man. im just one of those old fashioned folk that doesnt feel the need put sex into everything. let kids be kids, for fuck sake.
I know they won’t unfortunately, but I would absolutely love it if after they finish the movies they go back and react to the seasons of Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, especially right now that all the movies are so fresh in their memories
Rexy stamping on the Indominus Rex bone so that no other abominations can come and steal her crown. And its so freaking scary how bright both the Indoraptor's eyes and gold streak glow. Especially when she opened them while she was playing dead in the cage, and when she smiled at 56:04 right before she ate the guy. Also, although she's now free to do and go wherever she wants, Blue never really left them. She chooses to still remain closely nearby from the gang.
The mansion did have some CGI additions, but it is real and they did shoot at it- for weeks. They even had huge rain machines brought in for the final scenes. It is Cragside in Rothbury, Northumberland
Just wanted to say, this is my favorite movie react channel. You guys are not only reacting, you are actively listening and watching, you are remembering, you are getting references and easter eggs. And you always analyze the movies in an honest but not overly harsh way and you always try to find some good story telling in a generally mediocre movie. Thanks for that
Lockwood Manor is a real place. It is Cragside in the North East of England, about 20 minutes from where I live. Also where the new Danny Boyle film 28 Years Later is being filmed currently.
This might be the first Jurassic movie where we see a character being killed and having an arm mutilated by a Dino. Yeah, Eddie’s and Nedry’s deaths were ‘censored’ in different ways, watching the car shaking while the Dilophosaurus eats Nedry and the darkness/rain covering the brutal death scene of Eddie from the lost world.
Am I the only one who sees a big or dangerous creature sleeping peacefully and think "I want to cuddle this thing."? Just asking since it's what I felt when we saw Rexy sleeping.
I think Owen tried detaching himself and avoided going to Nublar initially because the loss of the Raptors affected him greatly. They would have been like losing beloved pets or even children for him. Claire started changing since comforting the dying Apatosaurus that was attacked by the Indominus monster. There was always a volcano on Isla Nublar since the beginning. You can see it on the map from Jurassic World but the facilities always used geothermal energy from the volcano. Ludlow said in The Lost World that "Hammond always ran everything on geothermal power." Isla Sorna has a volcano too due to the same energy. The Indoraptor is pretty cool. I love that he is a mentally unstable prototype but extremely intelligent. Its also confirmed to be a male dinosaur (not very common in the jurassic series). The quills on his back are like the male Raptors.
Hey guys, before the next movie, make sure you watch the “BATTLE AT BIG ROCK” short film. It’s a short film that takes place between the two movies. It’s directed by Colin trevorrow so it’s canon
I am not ashamed to admit that this is probably my top favourite Jurassic movie, largely due to the fact that it deviates from the standard 3-step system the prior movies followed (go to island, get chased by Dinosaurs, get off island), and even with the island segment, they changed the equation by adding in an impending volcanic eruption, and just feels the most unique movie of the set. I like that it also does a really good job at showing the Dinosaurs as the victims they really are, and I applaud you for being one/two of the seemingly few reactors to this movie who actually seem to care about these animals and want them to be saved. I delight in the fact that this film allows a herbivore the chance to be centre stage, with the Stygimoloch thrashing the auction, making it one of my favourite Dinosaurs in this franchise, and while I do agree with you in that there probably wasn't as much time with the Indoraptor as we might have hoped, I do think they made the most of its screentime that they could have, along with the chilling concept that, since it was a prototype, what might a perfected version have been capable of? I also have no shame in saying that due to these features, this film still holds my personal record for most times watched in cinemas, 9 times to be specific, displacing the prior record holder, How to Train Your Dragon 2, at 7 times. If just to twist the knife even further on the Brachiosaurus's death during the departure, it was officially confirmed that it was the same individual first revealed to Dr Grant and the others from the first movie, as it's silhouetted rearing up moment demonstrated Also, I think you missed the end credit scene of Pteranodons flying over Las Vegas; not a major loss, it's just a few seconds long, just thought I'd mention it. To put some names to faces for the new Dinosaurs that weren't named in-film; the Dinosaur in the lava-bunker sequence and seen being loaded onto the boat was Baryonyx, a smaller, sail-less cousin of Spinosaurus found in England, and one of my all-time favourite Dinosaurs (so yet another point in this film's favour). The horned Dinosaur that found the paralysed Owen was the Asian Sinoceratops, from the same family as Triceratops, and the horned carnivore that attacks it during the stampede was the infamous Carnotaurus. The herbivore that turned the auction into a warzone was Stygimoloch, a relative of the Pachycephalosaurus from the second movie, very similar with the primary difference being the larger spikes around the Styggy's head. If you would like to see some of that Dinosaurs on the mainland action before Dominion (the Extended Edition is my own recommendation), youtube's official Jurassic Park/World Channel has the worthwhile short film, Battle at Big Rock, as well as a sightings/clips compilation video from the official website, Dinotracker (that word is in the video title, so it can be easily searched for), showcasing recorded sightings of Dinosaurs all over the world, and both are highly recommendable, as well as the Netflix animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, and it's follow-up, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
even more right in the feels: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona revealed that the Brachiosaurus that died in the pyroclastic flow seen in the film is in fact the exact same Brachiosaurus first seen by Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in the original Jurassic Park film, serving as a tragic end to the ill-fated ventures on Isla Nublar. :( :(
I absolutely LOVED this one!! The Indoraptor was a true menace!!! Loved seeing you guys watch this one. Wait until you get to Fallen Kingdom! It gets crazier! ❤
This movie combines so many different movie types together: disaster horror monster (and that sequence in the bedroom was like a vampire movie so at least 4 and it’s all combined into a single Jurassic movie! Bayona went crazy with this one🤣
I love that we can see J.A. Bayona’s touches on this film. The suspense, the “monster movie” feel, the excellent score, and the attention to detail when it came to the dinosaurs. It’s a surprisingly natural escalation from Jurassic World. I still love the JW trilogy, despite its flaws.
@OfficialMediaKnights you have to watch the short film "battle at night rock" before you watch dominion! You can find it on TH-cam. They posted it before dominion came out to hype dominion
Ian really is the biggest voice of reason in these movies. for as sad as it is, as long as these animals exists among humans, the gates for exploitation and abuse of the technology will never close. and this trilogy helps exemplify the escalation once those same gates are WIDE open.
The filmmakers revealed that the Long Neck dino on the dock at around 34:00 was actually the same one that we first saw in the original Jurassic Park, and this scene makes me cry every single time..
Since this is mandatory trivia in every reaction to this movie, The brachiosaurus we see get killed by the volcano was confirmed to be the exact same one that we first saw in Jurassic park 1. Just to make it that little bit extra soul crushing.
Loving both your reactions to this franchise, fun, witty, entertaining & always give great post movie discussions. Love this channel it's so uplifting & the perfect pick me up.
32:13 I’m just noticing this now, but the only good guy role I’ve see Ted Levine play is Monk’s boss. The other roles were this, The Warden in Shutter Island, and of course Buffalo Bill. Dude’s just a villain. Haha
While the vast majority including WatchMojo say Nedry’s death was the most satisfying and the number #1 death in the _Jurassic Park_ franchise, to me I personally think Wheatley and Eli Mills were the most satisfying deaths out of all the human villains in the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Series. Think about it, the former darted Owen and left him to die in the Isla Nubar volcanic eruption and since he was a Dinosaur Game Hunter taking each tooth of each Dinosaur as a trophy, you feel bad for those dinosaurs that had to endure the tooth removal from Wheatley, so seeing him meet his end at the hands of the Indoraptor was satisfying to watch as the hunter himself became the hunted. As for Eli Mills, he was just another version of Peter Ludlow but much more selfish, manipulative, greedy, and unredeemable and like Ludlow, he want to take the dinosaurs from the island and take them to the mainland to a sanctuary, only that like Ludlow he wants to bring the Dinosaurs to the mainland and sees them as profit (Ludlow: bringing the Dinosaurs for an attraction in San Diego; Mills: Bringing the Dinosaurs to the Lockwood estate for an auction just to continue further genetic research). Not to mention he murdered Lockwood after he found out on Mills illegal activities and I was grateful to see Rexy eat Mills for all the despicable things he has done and comes full circle that both Ludlow and Mills were devoured by a T.Rex. Finally I hate that majority of you bash on Maisie for releasing the Dinosaurs, but let’s be realistic, if she didn’t release the dinosaurs and left them to die, then Eli Mills and his cronies would’ve eventually gotten away and not get arrested while continuing to do their illegal activities with the Indominus Rex DNA creating more genetic hybrids.
As a huge Jurassic park fan I am LIVING for these reaction videos from you guys, I love them! There are heaps of reaction vids to the jurassic franchise but yours are my fav. Get so excited when a new one comes out! Thanks guys for all the vids!
I LOVE the philosophy in this entry regarding the dinosaurs...I just wish they delve a little bit more into with perhaps a better execution overall for the movie. But still a lot of dinosaur action goodness to be had.
Totally, if it got a little more deep the audiemce would get much more adapt to the idea. The girl thought is also understandable. They didn't choose to be made, why they have to die now? Even tho in this case i don't believe in this philosopy. it is pretty valid
There is an animated series called Camp Cretaceous that tells the story of some young people who go for a walk to Jurassic World but then the escape of the indominus Rex happens and chaos is set up.
Yes, i would love to watch the reaction to Camp Cretaceous series and I really enjoy the continuation with Chaos Theory too...Chaos Theory season 1 was so good, cant wait for the season 2.
So uh sad fact the brachiosaurus seen when they leave the island is actually Betty the same brachiosaurus that was seen in Jurassic Park all those years ago. The first dinosaur we saw on Isla Nublar was also the last.
Did y'all know a new Jurassic World movie comes out next year? The current title is Jurassix World: Rebirth. The sad thing is, none of the cast from the trilogy will return. The only famous actor (well famous to me) taking part in the movie is Scarlett Johansson. The release dare is July 2nd 2025.
Oh they'll bring the OG cast back eventually. Just like they did with the sequel trilogy. I'm sure they'll bring Owen and Claire back at some point too. It's just how franchises like this work.
@Knightcowboy89 We'll see. Honestly, I think it would have been nice to keep Jurassic World as a trilogy then have Rebirth be the start of a new trilogy. Examples could be Jurassic Planet, Jurassic Earth or use the new name but remove the 'World' moniker: Jurassic Rebirth. I feel like new main cast should always mean a new trilogy name.
For the life of me I cannot understand how Henry Wu has not been devoured or brought to trial for crimes against humanity at this point? Like, how does he keep escaping?!
I Love Denise so much. She is so beautiful and adorably sweet with her smile. Denise is very wise with her sayings. Her red hair is already an icon. It’s so interesting and fun to watch your guys’ films with you😊❤
The next movie (Dominion) has the first moment in JP history where I genuinely felt uncomfortable by one of the dinosaurs...the one where Clair has to hide under water. That thing is haunting...
There was TONS of animatronic dinos in this one. The T-Rex in the truck (blood sample scene) and the indo-rapter with hunter guy trying to pull the tooth and it bites his arm off… that was practical, and also the indo in the bedroom before things got crazy…
The brontosaurus dying in the toxic gas just killed me, the others dying, the island, the whole thing just broke my heart. Whatever else was in the movie, it just hurt to watch
Claires character arc already started in the first Jurassic World. That moment when she witnesses the death of the Apatosaurus is still one of my favourite moments in this franchise. So since a few years passed it makes sense that she would be different now. But I agree that it could have been great if Owen and her had more of a progression throughout these films. Fallen Kingdom has some nice tender moments as well and I think those are probably the best parts about the movie. That scene with the Brachiosaurus is heartbreaking. The horror vibes in the second half were kinda cool but it didn't feel like a Jurassic movie to me anymore, much more - like you said - a monster movie. The Indoraptor has far too many human traits and doesn't act like an animal in a lot of scenes and I honestly didn't like those aspects of the film. I get why they did it but I prefer my Jurassic movies to be about animals. I get that the first one did this as well with the I-Rex but the second one in the mansion is just over the top. Maisie is a great addition in this film though I also wish they would have done more with her. So it really is a mixed bag, it's fun and has some interesting moral themes but it never reaches the hights of the other movies. (It also kinda steals the plot of The Lost World.) I highly suggest the official shortfilm "Battle at big rock" on TH-cam before you watch the last one, that came out to promote Jurassic World Dominion and it's actually really good.
This was my favourite theatre experience. Jurassic Park is my favourite franchise & the lost world is favourite movie of all time. Even though I don't love it, I really appreciate the direction.
Funny thing is, there are a couple stills, and when coupled with a few other species that were later confirmed to have escaped from the Lockwood estate, it looks more like they brought back around 2 dozen species from Nublar.
I already know that I'm going to love this reaction! 😊 This was a good follow-up to the first "Jurassic World" movie. We've got the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm at the beginning and at the end. Fun, but Sad Fact: 33:50 According to director J.A. Bayona, that is supposed to be the same Brachiosaurus dinosaur that Sam Neil's character Alan Grant first saw in the original first "Jurassic Park" movie. Just knowing that always makes this one small scene harder to watch. And of course, one of the best dinosaurs, Blue comes in to save Owen and Maisie at the end. Love the Blue vs. Indoraptor dinosaur fight. One movie left to go, and then your Jurassic Park/Jurassic World journey will be complete. It's on to "Jurassic World Dominion" next. And I recommend watching the extended edition of that movie if you two can. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊
15:48 this is Isabella Sermons first movie and shes incredible 19:49 that was improv by Chris lol 28:52 my favorite shot of the movie right there lol 29:37 they actually did that fall for real, they put a roller coaster track on a three story building and filmed them inside it 33:42 that is the only part I hate about this movie 38:48 Chris Pratt actually did that stunt himself, it took like 12 takes to get it to where he didnt fall out of frame but he did it and he had the bruises to prove it lol 45:50 the stunt woman for Isabella was actually a Telitubie random fact lol 47:20 one of my favorite species the Pachycephalosaurs lol 59:16 that scene with her sniffing the gas and running just shows how intelligent she really is, it's incredible 1:04:18 that shot is a direct nod to Nosferatu 1:06:02 you can see an ET toy on the bottom right corner of the screen, a eastern egg nod to Steven Spielberg 1:14:19 thats my other favorite shot, the T-Rex and the lion lol
3:50 Damn it, even Nedry would've known better than to mess with the Mosasaur tank. 1:14:10 This scene gave me an idea for a new version of the Jan & Dean song "Surf City" Mosasaur: "I'm going down to Surf City. Gonna snack and have fun!"
Out of the Jurassic World trilogy this one is absolutely my favorite one. I know people like to hate on this one especially when it comes to the human clone plot point but like making hybrid dinosaurs this again shows the arrogance of man and keeping that theme going. Not to mention this movie still brought in the fun and the emotion, when the brachiosaurus was left behind to die it still gets me. And not to mention all the actors played their roles well
I like dr. Wu as a character. He’s very much the embodiment of Ian’s quote “you were so caught up in whether or not you could, you never stopped to ask if you should.” I also like he’s not incompetent. He learned from the indominus Rex and the isolation problem, as he explained the indoraptor needed a strong familial bond to be ready for sale. He learns but not the most important lesson. I felt they had a real missed opportunity with maisie because I thought they were teasing that the indoraptor was spliced with human dna and the familial bond was with maisie. That somehow it would have a connection with her and the problem would be the indoraptor saw her as her child or maybe like her mother because they used Lockwood daughters dna since they had it on hand. It would have made the indoraptor more tragic if it had been trying to protect maisie but it was still putting her in danger because of its size and claws and stuff. Sort of a real callback to the Frankenstein origins of the movie. It doesn’t understand it’s hurting her or that Owen and Claire are protecting and helping her. Showing that the lack of early life socializing is so detrimental. The juxtaposition between blue and the indoraptor. This would probably have been too sappy if an ending but maybe blue showing the social cues and things like that help the indoraptor learn and just when it seems like it’s going well maisie gets kidnapped by discount Ryan Reynolds (sorry but he did such a good job as the villain it’s hard to separate the actor from the character lol) and the indoraptor, blue, Owen and Claire work together to save her and, of course, the indoraptor dies in tragic heroic fashion. I agree in your criticism that I would like to see these different genres stand alone movies. I think it would be a great horror movie if there was an isolated facility, underground or something really confined and claustrophobic, and there is a super hybrid escaped containment and the facility is in lockdown and you have your survivors and maybe different habitats for the dinosaurs as set pieces and you have the “regular” Dino’s complicating the attempts to hide and escape the super hybrid.
While he had much less screentime than his predecessor, Indoraptor was absolutely incredible and ki da tragic. The only downside is that he came in only at the end of the movie and was killed off almost immediately. Could you imagine if he was actually let loose onyo the world? I'm sure if we wasn't a prototype and was actually complete, he could take down a small city in one night. 🥶
I think when the indoraptor pretends to be asleep is a nod to when the indominious pretend to escape by scratching the wall but really it was a distraction so when they walked in he could attack and actually escape also hiding his thermals
The dinosaur in the tunnel is a Baryonyx it is a theropod dinosaur which lived in the early Cretaceous Period; its a spinosaurid, a member of the same group as the northern African dinosaurs Spinosaurus and Suchomimus
I’m a Bryce Dallas Howard fan she a great actress and a very big fan of Star Wars and wrote couple of the best Mandalorian episodes. If there was any female candidate to do a Star Wars movie it’s her not the chick that hates men
Bit of prehistory facts when owen said oh god she stinks when they were getting blood from rexy he wasnt exaggerating many experst believe thst T rex had one of the foulest breaths in the Dinosuar world
Hell yeah! Can’t wait to check that one out. We were paying attention to their marketing campaign and man, gotta say it was refreshing how unique it was. Excited to watch the movie 😃
People often ask why would you build anything on islands with Volcanoes. But... Hilo (Kilauea has a history of large explosive eruptions), Santorini, Vulcano, Stromboli, basically all of Indonesia, Kirishima, Naples, Seattle... Just because a volcano exists does not mean people don't build near it, even in the danger zones. I would say that it is more likely for people to live and build things near a volcano than it is for people to avoid volcanoes when building settlements. Islands are more often than not, volcanic in origin. Costa Rica sits on a major volcanic arc, so it make perfect sense that there is a volcano on the island, and that the park would have been built anyways. Had the park been open, it is likely all the Dinosaurs, and people, would have been evacuated to Site B.
Yes but people build too close to the danger zones. In Hawaii they know how active Kilauea is but let’s build a visitors centre right on the rim of the Volcano and let’s build an entire sub division on top of a rift zone. Iceland let’s build an entire fishing village right on top of a lava chamber they know is there because they built a power plant on top of it. Just because it’s been doormat for thousands of years dosnt mean it won’t wake up at some point. Just stay clear don’t build where you know there’s been previous activity.
@@daviddavis2545 the thing is too, they could've opened the main door which would let the gas out, and then figure out how to get the dinos to a safe island.
@@daviddavis2545 and they couldn't retrain the girl cus she didn't while no one was looking, but still it was so stupid, I wonder what the 3rd movie would be like if they hadn't let the dinos out and got them to a different island, maybe they get stuck on the island somehow, that would be kinda cool ig
For me there was some stuff during the "rescue" and evac that didn't make sense. Like Rexy is the only rex on the island so how did she go from probably running off the cliff with every other dino up there to avoid the cloud to being caught, caged, and transported in an instant. Maybe 10 minutes for them to swim to that beach and see the rex in transport. They just saw the rex maybe 12 minutes ago when it saved them from the carnotaurus. Same with the baryonyx. Showed it being trapped in a lava covered bunker thing grant it there was probably more than one bary. But then how did they get it into that sling if it was that awake? If they tranquilized it to get it in the sling, they would have just put it in a cage right off the bat and air lifted the cage. No helicopter pilot if gonna fly with a sling load that is actively flailing around. Sling loads are dangerous enough when its just a vehicle or w/e but a live 2400lb-3800lb animal flailing.......nope. At least for the shot of the rex in transport they pick a helicopter capable of lifting a rex. Though I question how they got it because there is very very few Chinooks in private hands, though I guess you could argue a PMC could have one of the few. But also now thinking about it in JP2:LW INGEN had a whole fleet of them carry in all the equipment for the bad team. Also Owen would have been burnt alive being that close to the lava. And the lava would not be pushing the leaves it would burn them and the forest should be burning in front of the lava faster than the lava itself is moving specially considering it was all dead leaves. And then you have Owen go from barely able to roll over to 120% a ok sprinting through a field and forest. Yeah sure adrenaline was kicking in counter acting some of the sedative but he would have still be sluggish.
The brachiosaurus dying on the island that you see when they're on the boat. Is the same one from the first movie when Alan and Ellie visit the park for the first time. That scene will forever make me tear up. Also Rexy shaking her head instead of going for the humans was most likely caused by the sonic boom from the Volcano knocking her senses.

That scene hits like a damn truck. It's the main reason I've only ever seen this movie once and am always hesitant to re-watch
Yep they knew what they were doing with that scene. The Brachiosaurus is the first and last dinosaur we ever see on Isla nublar
In fact, the death of that Brachiosaurus represents the end of Hammond's dream.😢
Stop it 😭😭
My heart broke in pieces when they announced this 😢
excuse me, what? 😭
@@OfficialMediaKnights I know I simply wanted to mention this since I couldn’t bear leaving that little known fact.
I choose to ignore this as canon even if it was confirmed
Blue was protecting Owen here 21:41 she saw the man with a gun behind him and pushed him aside & attacked the guy
Dude she was protecting herself!
What makes the ending sadder is knowing Blue is the last of her kind and the call she is making is the pack call for other Raptors that will never show up.
But as we know….the next film changes everything.
Idk man, that dino tracker website says otherwise...
1:01:05 The director has said in his interviews that the Indoraptor was indeed more monster than dinosaur and I like how they showed his movements to be so different from the rest, so deliberate, like that scene where he slowly reaches out for Maisie's hair.
That brachiosaurus scene will never not make me sob.
OmG! Me too! Absolutely SOBBING! Every. Single. Time. 😭
it's actually the same Brachiosaurus that Alan grant and the others meet in the first film as confirmed by the directors
Same, that’s why I’ve only watched this movie once. Way too much dinosaur death and torture for me to enjoy the film.
@@marlonclark-ky6ub, Well, damn! That makes it even worse, and I can’t get thru that scene without getting misty.
Yes! I've only seen it once. It's too depressing.
When I went to see this at the theater, there was a dad with his two girls there sitting next to me. When the brachiosaurus was calling out to the boat before dying, the two girls were just sobbing their eyes out.
It's definitely a sad moment
I was 37 years old when I watched this for the first time, and I bawled my eyes out on that scene. So, yeah...
I was in my 40's and crying, too. It's a heartbreaking scene.
I also almost cry everytime I see this scene
I mean, yeah that makes sense. That's who that scene is aiming at: Easily emotionally-manipulated children
The scene where Blue cries when they are treating her injury always gets me emotional. She's my favorite dinosaur from the movies.
You would think he’d learn after the first few disasters 😅
@@MickeyMo600 I think it's safe to say that if a character plays God, and this act gets people hurt or worse, then they get a free seat on the Villain's table.
Even if they didn't mean to hurt anyone and was just trying to further their achievements, they still did the work that they weren't supposed to.
Really hope they cast him as Dr. Suchong in the Bioshock adaptation.
The director confirmed the dinosaur they left behind was the OG dinosaur from the first Jurassic park (The one Grant and Ellie see for the first time)
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Now why did you have to tell us that?! I've only just come to terms with watching that poor brachiosaur standing at the edge of the jetty and hoping they'll come back to save her.😢😢
I just learned her name was Daisy😭😭
Ohhhh noooo 😢😢
Nooo, this makes the scene 10000x times sadder.
That brachiosaurus death scene had me in the real feels
Big facts everytime! But it was prolly like how the world ended for them back in the day!
The first half of the movie is pretty decent. The second half, on the other hand...
After watching dominion, I have a new found respect for this movie.
Cannot tell how much I appreciate, you pointing this out. The series deserves attention like this, it ensured this franchise as a masterpiece.
That also explains how the indoraptor was already a teenager by JWFK
while i enjoyed the series for the most part, i wish they hadnt pushed their gay agenda on everyone. they couldnt let well enough alone. and before any of you call me a homophobe, you should know that im a gay man. im just one of those old fashioned folk that doesnt feel the need put sex into everything. let kids be kids, for fuck sake.
@@PanayiotisManias a masterpiece? hahahaha, yeah right.
She chooses to still remain closely nearby from the gang.
the little smile was so cute and yet so evil 😂 she knew she had him
This is kinda spoiler territory. If they decide to watch the most recent film. Careful friend
The mansion did have some CGI additions, but it is real and they did shoot at it- for weeks. They even had huge rain machines brought in for the final scenes. It is Cragside in Rothbury, Northumberland
Right? They must be watching on a shitty resolution screen.
WAIT IT IS??? Omg I can't believe I didn't recognize it!!! I love that place
Idk if the InGen guy counts from Jurassic World counts (I forgot his name but his hand was bitten by raptor).
@@joshhignett8186 I believe his name is Hoskins, also I don’t he counts since we only Delta chomping down on his hand. The rest happened off-screen.
@@renimusprimeyeah, at most his hand was mutilated, maybe missing fingers. But died by mauling
We’re forgetting the first movie where the T-Rex literally chomped/grabbed the upper half of his body when the lawyer was in the porta-john. 😂😂
And funny enough, raptors ate everything BUT Ray Arnold's arm in the first film! :p
The director did confirm that the Brachiosaurus that dies in the ash cloud is the original brachiosaurus we saw In the first film
This one is super underrated! I love how odd & creepy this one is.
It had some really fun elements of horror that we really enjoyed!
It’s not underrated. It gets all the crap it should. Bad script, stupid plot elements, bad editing, ridiculous character moments.
The smile of the indo Raptor is beyond horrifying. 😮
No it wasn’t. It was silly.

Ludlow said in The Lost World that "Hammond always ran everything on geothermal power."
Isla Sorna has a volcano too due to the same energy.
The Indoraptor is pretty cool.
I love that he is a mentally unstable prototype but extremely intelligent.
Its also confirmed to be a male dinosaur (not very common in the jurassic series).
The quills on his back are like the male Raptors.
"Oh Rexy, you're so sexy..." I love that she's the same from the OG 🦖
Y'all putting the year these movies came out making me feel old and I'm only 17 😭😭
Ahahah sorryyyy, the years really put things into perspective 😭

17? Rookie number. Try 30+
Indominus Rex: confused rage. Indoraptor: pure menace
Script: pure nonsense
If just to twist the knife even further on the Brachiosaurus's death during the departure, it was officially confirmed that it was the same individual first revealed to Dr Grant and the others from the first movie, as it's silhouetted rearing up moment demonstrated
Also, I think you missed the end credit scene of Pteranodons flying over Las Vegas; not a major loss, it's just a few seconds long, just thought I'd mention it.
I LOVE & completely agree with this entire comment! I love this one & the last so much!
You should be ashamed. It’s an AWFUL movie.
even more right in the feels: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A.
The Indoraptor was something else! On to Dominion next!
When Rexy ignored Owen, it wasn't that she didn't see them as worth her time but shock wave from the volcano messed with her hearing.
I’m so glad I caught this early!!!!! The Endoraptor is one of my absolute FAVORITES! You guys are so fun to watch!
You're the best! Thank you for the love ❤️ That Indoraptor was something else!
Brachiosaurus
Since this is mandatory trivia in every reaction to this movie, The brachiosaurus we see get killed by the volcano was confirmed to be the exact same one that we first saw in Jurassic park 1. Just to make it that little bit extra soul crushing.

Yeah but I don’t think they should watch it cause it’s just ridiculous imo

And Jonathan Bailey ❤

@Knightcowboy89 We'll see. Honestly, I think it would have been nice to keep Jurassic World as a trilogy then have Rebirth be the start of a new trilogy. Examples could be Jurassic Planet, Jurassic Earth or use the new name but remove the 'World' moniker: Jurassic Rebirth. I feel like new main cast should always mean a new trilogy name.

There was TONS of animatronic dinos in this one. The T-Rex in the truck (blood sample scene) and the indo-rapter with hunter guy trying to pull the tooth and it bites his arm off… that was practical, and also the indo in the bedroom before things got crazy…
Aw heck yeah!! I'm addicted to your reactions of all my fav movies lol
We’re so glad you enjoy these! Thank you for watching 😃
The brontosaurus dying in the toxic gas just killed me, the others dying, the island, the whole thing just broke my heart.
Whatever else was in the movie, it just hurt to watch
This movie was really not that good at all ... but that scene with the dinosaurs dying in the volcano, that has broken me up every time I see it.
(It also kinda steals the plot of The Lost World.)
I highly suggest the official shortfilm "Battle at big rock" on TH-cam before you watch the last one, that came out to promote Jurassic World Dominion and it's actually really good.
The dinosaur that was head butting everyone was a Pachycephalosaurus. It has a solid bone dome feature on top of its head that is 10in thick.
This was a good follow-up to the first "Jurassic World" movie.

That sounds like a way more interesting approach. One of our criticisms was exactly that! Too little Indoraptor and a lot going on! Like a lot!
In the words of Noble Six: "I aim to please."
The brachio that got killed when they drowe up on the boat is the same brachio/first dino we ever saw in jurassic park
I’m a Bryce Dallas Howard fan she a great actress and a very big fan of Star Wars and wrote couple of the best Mandalorian episodes. If there was any female candidate to do a Star Wars movie it’s her not the chick that hates men
Lol, i love the little detail when the Indo got impaled, Blue looked at both horns of the Trike statue like "F ME!! That was close!!"
You know what they say about CGI :
"Just go with the dark scene if you want to hide your CGI budget"
400 million this movie cost to make the CGI should be dam perfect.
Bit of prehistory facts when owen said oh god she stinks when they were getting blood from rexy he wasnt exaggerating many experst believe thst T rex had one of the foulest breaths in the Dinosuar world
Yea no shit. All carnivores have awful breath.
Also keep an eye out for LONGLEGS (2024), a new intense psychological thriller in the style of SE7EN, coming later this month on VOD.
Hell yeah! Can’t wait to check that one out. We were paying attention to their marketing campaign and man, gotta say it was refreshing how unique it was. Excited to watch the movie 😃
Massive Land Before Time vibes for a sec there. Still hurts.
The whole scene where Owen and Clare are in the compartment with the sleeping Rex begs me to ask: Do Dinosaurs Dream of Jurassic Sheep?
I would fr spin the block on Maisie if i found out she's the reason there's Dino's everywhere destroying my stuff 💀💀
Crazy to see all of these dinosaurs are out in the wild now 😬
Exactly, they had one job. Restrain the little girl and LET THE DINOSAURS DIE lol
@@daviddavis2545what Maisie did didnt really matter, dinosaurs already escaped the moment Mills sold those dinosaurs.
A major part of me subscribing, was the fact that I love the way you guys criticize and analyze movies. Please, stay true to you
Battle at black rock is an 8 minute short available on youtube ...takes place just before Jurrasic Dominion .
Yeah sure adrenaline was kicking in counter acting some of the sedative but he would have still be sluggish.
oh my you guys are THE BEST. I was looking around to see if you have watched the fallen kingdom but earlier you didn't but now you have 😃
Right on time! Thank you for showing up ❤️😄
The brachiosaurus dying on the island that you see when they're on the boat. Is the same one from the first movie when Alan and Ellie visit the park for the first time. That scene will forever make me tear up.
Also Rexy shaking her head instead of going for the humans was most likely caused by the sonic boom from the Volcano knocking her senses.
clicked faster than the speed of light, i had low expectations going into it back in 2018 and i had a blast.
There were definitely parts of the film which we thoroughly enjoyed! Not a perfect flick but it’s still a lot of fun 😄
