The second sharpening method if you didn't get it the first listen like me :) : -New Layer - PC (Ctrl + Shift + N) -Stamp visible - Command-Option-Shift-E (PC: Ctrl-Alt-Shift-E). -Disaturate - Shift-Command U (PC: Shift-Ctrl-U) -Easy to follow from here Great Tutorial, Thanks!
These are the best Photoshop tutorials! I want to just sit on my computer, with a cup of coffee and Photoshop for my work. And this guy gets all of the detail.
***** A quick responce, fantastic! :) Now that you ask about a couple of suggestions I do have some. I'm not sure if some of them have been done already since I haven't had the time to see through all of the tutorials on phlearn.com, so I will just write a couple down below. - Different variations on ways to remove the background from a talent (both with a single and multicolored background). - Advanced color correction tutorial. My guess is that you have probably already done a color correction tutorial, if so just ignore this and ill find it on your channel when I get the time ;) - How to create and use guidelines that can be turned on/off for Photoshop layout design projects. - How to set up a keyboard shortcut for changing the size and edge blurryness of the brush tool. (this one is more of a technical question and might be a bit silly to do a complete tutorial on, but I just havent been able to figure it out after searching for it online). Maybe there are other shortcuts you use a lot that needs to be set up first which would be good to know? :) - And here is another silly one but I just cant seem to find an answer anywhere online... How to find the "temp" folder on the PC/Mac so we can empty it, or maybe there is a way to empty it from within Photoshop?. It seems after a while it starts to take up a lot of space.
Charmefis , Maybe, I could help you with 4 question. To change the brush size you need to hold Ctrl+Alt (in Mac - Option) in active Brush Tool mode, click and drag from the left to the right = this action will increase the size. If you move from the roght to the left = it will make a brush size smaller. To increase and decrease the hardness of the brush you need to drag the cursor up and down, holding Ctrl+Alt in Brush Tool mode. But I have a problem in PhotoshopCC, these shortcuts are inactive in it.
Amazing! Aaron hits another home run, out of the park, maybe smashing a windshield. I *always* learn something about imagecraft, very often more than I set out to learn. I really appreciate how focused on education these videos are. There are a billion Photoshop "tutorials" put out by people who have not the slightest interest in, or talent for, actually *sharing* insight and technique. Aaron is the most shining exception to this I've found. Not only does he have a clear and deep understanding of artistic and mechanical technique, but he's extraordinarily good at imparting this knowledge to his audience in an accessible and friendly way. THANK YOU, AARON!
All I can say is WOW! I just tried out this method on a Headshot where the subject had gray washed out eyes...Now they are just WOW!!! I can hardly wait to deliver the images to my clients. Thanks again! :D
I subscribed! I'm officially in love with Aaron and Phlearn. I spent the last weekend learning Photoshop via TH-cam clips, started to watch this one the first day, but felt it was too advanced. Two days later and I just made amazing eyes. Can't wait to watch some more, I love your style of talking and light hearted banter. Thank you so much.
Uh-mazing! I'm so glad I found you guys! Once I master this, I'm going to be a lot happier with my image results. Thank you so much for making this video.
Your videos are fantastic! You articulate well, you explain what you're doing and why you're doing it, the video quality is super clear and I love how you occasionally stop (and jump back to the frame of yourself) to clarify your point - it keeps it all interesting and is much easier to pay attention to. :)
Thankyou! Just came across your channel a couple of days ago. Apparently i learnt more stuff about photoshop from this channel in a couple of days, than i did from article tutorials in a couple of weeks.
Wow! My first PHLEARN tutorial and I have enjoyed it a lot! Thanks guys. You're doing a terryfic job! Hey, Aaron, you really rock, man! Best regards from Nicaragua
Hey Aaron. Thanks for all the videos. Phlearn is super badass and extremely helpful. I would love to learn more about advanced forms of skin softening.
Dude I never comment on videos but all your tutorials are incredible. Simple but informative, I've picked up so many little efficiencies thanks to your experience. Great personality and sense of humour to boot. Keep it up!
This is an amazing technique for making even ordinary eyes stunning. Catch light is the key. Really enjoying your videos Aaron! 1 millon subscribers! Not too shabby.
Ugh I would be so lost without your videos. Thank you so much for making them. I love how you explain things so clearly so I can actually do it myself without being confused and frusterated.
***** Well! I get most of the ideas from your channel. But I would like it if there's a video on how to create REALSITIC depth of field in photos. I mean most seem fake and photoshopped.
Awesome! I'm just a hobbyist, but I have 3 couple/wedding shoots coming up this spring/summer, and I'm really excited to play with this. :-) Do you have a plus/500px/flickr album you can show this technique being used?
Oliver Baker I am just a hobbyist too .. These were just family shots so they aren't published anywhere. It worked just as well as Aaron's demo though.
You are awesomely A.D.D friendly :) !! I was able to focus through the whole video and learned something I thought I could never do and never even attempted cuz I thought it was too hard! You rock!
dude it's just great! your vids are great and helpful. i'm a graphic design student and none of our teachers teach like this!, i'm doing my projects due this channel! way to go!
Great tut; can't wait to try this. Aaron, I think the words you were grasping for were iris, pupil, and optometrist. Got a good chuckle from eyeologist.
I don't think optometrist is the correct term either. Ophthalmologist is the one who is the eye doctor. Optometrist actually tests your eyes for weakness of sight and prescribes eye-wear. But we both are dissecting the topic than necessary. ;o)
Aaron, you're a natural teacher! ....I love these tutorial videos. They are easy to follow and straight to the point. Really helpful in getting up to speed with working in the newest Photoshop CC. ...Thanks a whole bunch!!!
I can't wait to finish school so I can watch all your videos and actually learn something useful...and have time to actually apply it to my photography.
The tutorials you do are amazing!! Thank you so much for putting that up here and also for being so likeable and having a voice that is nice to listen to.
Awesome tutorials Phlearn, I love the way you deliver them, the best by far. Super informative and entertaining. Keep them coming. Thanks for sharing :) :)
I love Phlearn! I have learned so much over the past few weeks. Your tutorials are amazing, thank you so much for putting them out there for us to enjoy. For future reference for you, the black, central part of the eye is called the pupil. The colored part is called the iris. :)
Phlearn is just awesome :) My friend told me about the youtube chanel and i am now big fan of yours. In just 2-3 video tutorials my editing (post processing) changed to advance level. Thank you so much Aaron and team :) I will be shating my recent shoot photos. and you can see the change. Thanks again Phlearn.com :)
Wow! Your tutorials and your way of explaining is sooo perfect! I can follow everything and it's actually easy and relaxed to listen to you ! Great job really .
I LOVE your tutorials! It´s simple, very well explained and interesting. Also the topics for the tutorials are focused on useful things. Every single time, when Im watching your videos Im just saying to myself: "thank you Phlearn"! Greetings from eastern Europe! :) and thanks once again.

+Timor Kuliev Thanks! Iactually paused several times and jotted them down. But then I saw this comment.

+Timor Kuliev Thanks a bunch!
These are the best Photoshop tutorials! I want to just sit on my computer, with a cup of coffee and Photoshop for my work. And this guy gets all of the detail.

I couldn't remember in which episode you taught a great sharpening method. Now I found it! What great tips you share! Thank you so much!
All I can say is WOW! I just tried out this method on a Headshot where the subject had gray washed out eyes...Now they are just WOW!!! I can hardly wait to deliver the images to my clients. Thanks again! :D
The best tutorial on eyes around. Well done Aaron!

I subscribed! I'm officially in love with Aaron and Phlearn. I spent the last weekend learning Photoshop via TH-cam clips, started to watch this one the first day, but felt it was too advanced. Very Great turtorial Phlearn ! the best ive ever seen!
Your videos are fantastic! You articulate well, you explain what you're doing and why you're doing it, the video quality is super clear and I love how you occasionally stop (and jump back to the frame of yourself) to clarify your point - it keeps it all interesting and is much easier to pay attention to. :)
For stamp visible, you don`t need the new layer, just: Command-Option-Shift-E / Ctrl-Alt-Shift-E will do perfectly on its own.. Love this technique!
Thankyou! Just came across your channel a couple of days ago. Apparently i learnt more stuff about photoshop from this channel in a couple of days, than i did from article tutorials in a couple of weeks.
It's always nice to browse for random photoshop tips and Phlearn always seems to have the easiest super simple videos. Aaron - great job.
This seriously enhanced all my portraits, and I am so grateful that this exists! Thanks so much, love Phlearn :)
EXCELLENT sharpening method!! I've always used the High Pass but never desaturated the layer beforehand. THANKS!!!
Finally a PS tutorial that was useful AND didn't make me mute the video and play music over. Good job!
This is crazy....I'm a noob at this stuff and just started photography lessons....hope I can create such pictures one day.....magnificent!!!
You are truely an awesome educator ! :)
Wow! My first PHLEARN tutorial and I have enjoyed it a lot! Thanks guys. You're doing a terryfic job!
Hey, Aaron, you really rock, man!
Best regards from Nicaragua
Only your second video I've watched and I already love your teaching style! It's hilarious, concise, and clear!
Keep it up!
This is what i want to talk
This is an amazing technique for making even ordinary eyes stunning. Catch light is the key. Really enjoying your videos Aaron! 1 millon subscribers! Not too shabby.
A lot of stuff can be said about yout tuts, but in regards to this one, one word can do it..... WOW
Ugh I would be so lost without your videos. Thank you so much for making them. I love how you explain things so clearly so I can actually do it myself without being confused and frusterated.

Well!

But we both are dissecting the topic than necessary. ;o)
You're right; we are dissecting this too far. Let's move on to criticizing that gnarly beard!

Wow..!! Amazing & very useful tutorial..!! Thanks alot..!!
Besides the eyes work, I'm "saving" the idea about using the High Pass in a layer as a sharpening idea in general.
As always....
Great tutorial, gonna try right now
It was amazing, great work and nice skills ! Thanks for tutorial
