I've been watching tours of apartments in Singapore for a couple of days now and in every single video there's a bomb shelter. I just assumed that's just a fun name for a pantry that Singaporeans like to use until i decided to Google it and it turns out apartments in Singapore have actually bomb shelters designed to protect them from attacks 😲
Yeah! In Singapore its either called Bomb shelter or house hold shelter. Hahaha.

Yeah, the newer bto's lan ports are done inside the db box.

Amazing house view.. I love the black theme.. just wanna ask after mths of staying do you have mould or fungus on your walls? I'm in punggol for about 9 yrs n I'm experiencing chalky walls. It's been 3 times we have painted our house over the yrs.
Thanks for the kind words! I have been staying here for 9 months. So far no mould nor fungus. Before my id painted our wall they applied sealer tho. No idea if it helps.

Hi Kenxs, Your home looks very cool!! I like it very much. Your bathroom flooring is higher than the master bedroom, does it means that you can't wash the flooring since water may flow out to the master bedroom? Also, what material you use for your wash basin countertop?
Thanks! Uh, theres a kerb at the entrance of the inner part of the bathroom so when you wash the floor water wont be able to flow out. Countertop is from Vulcan.

May I know if you have to void the HDB warranty when you renovated your toilets?
Thanks for the kind words. Wishing you a blessed wealthy and healthy year ahead! Uh, warranty will not be voided as we did overlay for both toilets. Warranty will only be voided if you hack the toilet tiles I guess.

Nice house! Just to check, for the toilet shower area, how did you manage to do a drop down on the floor? Because I understand from my ID that it is not possible to hack the toilet flooring for new BTO.
Hi there Jeff. Thanks! Uh, it can be done without hacking the flooring and just overlaying. However do note that your toilet will be higher than your master bedroom. Fengshui wise isnt that good unless you dont mind. So basically what the tiler will do is to raise the dry area by 2-5cm depending how sunken you want your wet area to be.

Hi there! Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but we are planning to get a house of a similar dumbbell layout and I wanted to ask if the aircon for your work/gaming room feels less cold? Since it is the farthest from the compressor!
Hey there, I can't really answer you on that. Im running 18k in my master bedroom, 24k in my living & 9k in my gaming room. In my master bedroom I have the aircon set at 23degrees whereas in my gaming room I have it set at 25degrees. In my gaming room it feels colder compared to my master (might be due to size difference? Im not too sure too. But for dumbbell layout it would be better to have a waterpump as advised by my aircon contractor.

Thanks! The whole feature wall I paid around 5k. From the tv console all the way to the main door entrance area (inclusive of the fluted door to bedroom 3, tv console and mirrors)

Glad you like it bro cause not everyone likes dark themed houses. Hi ben! my reno was 45k inclusive of electrical, lightings, kitchen & toilet fittings (basin, taps, shower sets & toilet bowls). For flooring (vinyl) it cost us 5k including cement sand screed & skirting.
