    I get the feeling you took into account a lot of human psychology when designing this home. Often cold concrete can cause feelings of depression, but you did a wonderful job infusing wood, plants, and water within the space to warm the concrete. I also would not be surprised if you've been approached by film directors who want to use your home as the setting, the cinematography you could get out of that building...*chefs kiss*

    For me, a house is luxurious by the amount of thought process that is put into making it. The space and resource utilization on this plan is next level. Kudos to the architects.

      @leoglasmeyer2853 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      yeah i think you're missing the fact that this house it's luxurious because it costs a SHIT ton of money. The location is very expensive, the design is very expensive and the materials and furniture are too. I think it's a very nice project but don't act like "it's not about the money you spend, but how well thought it is".

    • @karthikdevanahalli
      @karthikdevanahalli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@leoglasmeyer2853 My praise was for the design, not location. And I don't know where you are from, but some places on the earth are still affordable. And the location is irrelevant to me.
      Bruh, I can understand if a house like this is too expensive for you to build/own. But you don't need to have a stick up your butt and say that people are putting up an act when someone is just expressing their point of view.
      Also I never said that it is not about the money. But now I feel like I should have. So let me go ahead and say it, "It is not about the money, but the thought process that counts."

    • @judylloyd7901
      @judylloyd7901 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@leoglasmeyer2853 Nobody said the house is luxurious without costing a ton of money!!
      And nobody said that the thought put into it was *instead of* the money put into it!
      Of course it cost a ton of money. That's why it's so luxurious. And stunning! Obviously a lot of *thought* was put into the *design* to make it stunning.
      And your problem with that is...?

    • @DxModel219
      @DxModel219 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wonder how the sound acoustics is in the house. Imagine a child screaming or a guests speaking over one another... would the walls absorb or echo and bounce all over the place? It would be a nightmare without acoustic panels.

      it operates as a natural air conditioning in hot climates. as breezes blow over water they are cooled, then travel through the house. maybe attracts some bugs but if the water is circulation not too bad. bugs mostly settle and breed in still water.

      @lucasgauci 2 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Most pools in this context are salt water pools, that don't have a chlorine smell, are less harsh on your skin and would not allow insects to breed. Although they may get lots of bugs drowning, that's easily fixed with a good catchment and filter system.

    This is an example of what happens when you really think about your environment and want to highlight it rather than deny its presence. The architecture breathes with the environment, rather than being a steel and glass box that pretends that it has no relationship to the environment outside. It is extremely humane while also very design forward, which is a very hard combination to pull off. Superb example of what contemporary architecture should be but rarely is.

      This house has been lived in for a while and it's so rare to see that on film with these architectural homes. Usually we see brand new, just finished and every edge is perfectly sharp, every pane of glass is gleaming. Here we see how condensation is obviously a problem for them in the master bedroom (2:54), how the interior windows are fingerprint-magnets, how those cool kitchen slide-away panels get filthy with grease from cooking and probably need cleaning as often as a shower cubicle... and having the pool directly above the kitchen is just insane. So cool, but insane. I would bet money that they have never stopped spending on this house, that there is always something that needs URGENT attention.

    Truly unique and avant garde design. Upkeeping and maintenance costs will be over the roof with this indoor pool [need to hire professional pool cleaners especially for algae on the glass window.] A home that is beautiful to look at but difficult to keep without some deep pockets [facade panels will disintegrate faster with humidity and potential orthopedic medical bills for senior citizens climbing up and down daily]

    When you do a home for yourself always think about your elderly years. You’ll not be able use stairs all the time. You’ll be stuck on the ground floor.
    Superb design anyway.

      I think about things like this _constantly_ when I think of a "forever" home. What is my body going to be comfortable handling decades later, how _easy_ is access to repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc) if needed (hopefully not, haha), how easy is it to *clean*. The balance between aesthetic and comfort can sometimes be challenging, but little things, like finding out an area that stands out visually but is difficult to access accumulates a lot of dust, or the toll on your knees going up a long flight up stairs after a tiring day, can make what is supposed to be home notably less comfortable

    The most important thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies. I never imagined that a few thousand dollars per month would add up. However, it is. I've made around $870,000 since 2020.

    It's a really beautiful home, intricately designed and mixes in nature and concrete in a harmonious manner. I do have to wonder how long this would last though. I imagine it's only going to get tougher and tougher for the older folks as the years go by. That would be my primary concern to be very honest. It's beautifully designed for the young and healthy but everything wouldn't translate well once you're very much older. In that sense, I wouldn't really call this a multi-generational home that will withstand the test of time.
    For young couple or family however, it is indeed quite the dream.

    • @StackedHomes

      Hey Reggy, in regards to this question, third and fourth floor was out of bounds to the media team as the homeowners requested for privacy. The floors were mainly rooms that serve more as function for the homeowners.
      Most of the design intent from the architect can already been shown on the first and second floor in regards to overall design and user experience.
      Hope this clarifies!
