I agree with the fact that the media will hype them up during the good times and then throw them away when they have a run of bad games.
He’s had a bad run of games already. He’s currently in the part where they still say he’s playing well when he’s not. This sometimes leads to players thinking they are playing well when they’re not and they don’t improve. Then when the PR dies down the media starts mentioning them not playing well.

Jude has been a ghost since the UCL quarters and when he has a average Euros, the narrative will change to say he need's a rest. The media is so predictable.
Agreed. I can't claim to see all of his games but I watched the Madrid v city game and then the Madrid Munich game and then the final and Jude didn't really produce anything apart from hard work. Sure he's a real talent but he has some way to go until he is up there with the greats of the game.

He got a nice assist for Vini. It was important. I agree he hasn't played well but he also scored in one of the last leage games and ended up with 19 league goals I believe. He's 20. New team. New country. Learnt the language. He plays every game. They've lost once all season. Job done. I like him. He's a very good young player.

Trust me as a Madrid fan we wouldnt have won La Liga this season without Bellingham. He single-handedly won us multiple points and games. Also in the UCL he won us the games against Napoli and assisted crucial goals against Lepizig and Dortmund in the final. He has also been carrying an injury and a shoulder strap since march so I understand that if you only watched the knockout games he has looked clunky because its clear his movement is hindered. Still won the ucl so who cares?
Bellingham carried Madrid for the first 3 months of the season when Vini was injured, and he scored pivotal goals in both el clasicos, basically single-handedly killing Barca's title hopes. He played a massive role in Madrid winning La Liga and no one can deny that.

He would’ve had to share minutes with more players but the lack of a striker has helped him immensely cos he’s the only one with enough offensive ability to play that unique position Ancelotti got him playing. You speak as if Foden hasn’t been holding his own in city for years around some highly talented players. You forget remember who he broke in around and he won 2 pfa young player of the year in consecutive seasons. Yeah the team is good but he can’t just be a but part player if he’s winning that. Different paths and different types of players but the media hype for Bellingham is a combination of factors and one important one is playing at a club with the heritage that Madrid have and fitting right in.

The callers had good points albeit not articulated particularly great - I wouldn't say winning the first is easy and the second is harder... But, I would say it's more about what you do when you are at the top and staying at the top! You can be great but it's how you respond when you are at the top that counts.. these callers are alluding to the fact that the media who support England or Jude have a responsibility for their own. Because if you build them up and they don't deliver where does that leave everyone?

Running into the box on time to get goals, good solid defending and a good engine no doubt, but Lampard or Gerrard could of done the same thing in that team and in that position he’s not doing unbelievable things that we have never seen like Xavi and Iniesta etc I think we do need to calm down it’s just been a good run of games from a player in form and very young n hungry.

Trust me as a Madrid fan we wouldnt have won La Liga this season without Bellingham. He single-handedly won us multiple points and games. Also in the UCL he won us the games against Napoli and assisted crucial goals against Lepizig and Dortmund in the final. He has also been carrying an injury and a shoulder strap since march so I understand that if you only watched the knockout games he has looked clunky because its clear his movement is hindered. Still won the ucl so who cares?
