hi sir . I just watch your video and take apart my reel . it was very well explained, thank you. Everything looks good exept when i turn the handle, the "click sound "of the gear disappear. is this something that has ever happened to you ? do you have any ideas what the problem is ?
Thanks for watching! Regarding the click when you turn, it could be too much grease around the dog (causing it to not snap), the dog spring is weak (same function as the aforementioned), or the bridge screw is too tight (squeezing the pieces too close together). All that said, if you've extensively tested the dog and it works in all situations, I wouldn't worry about it.... except for the bridge screw thing.... too tight and it can crack the plate. Hope that helps.

Braid cost the price of the reel so I scored on that one😀 I wanna use it for Shark fishing. You think I must pair it with a deep sea rod like Kingfisher Poseidon strikeforce spf30 think it's 9ft... or must I use my Purglass 400/4 heavy 6-10oZ 14ft? 🤷♂️ I've never used small 9ft deep sea rods so I'm not familiar with them. Dunno if it's worth the money to buy one. Edit: Sharks from shore.
