absolutely not. she makes such odd vocal choices, and I’m not a fan of her animated dancing while singing. she definitely hits a few good notes but she is still at the bottom of my Lydia-list
@@Amir-dh8de Alex also makes animated movements tho, I really like that in musicals, it gives characters personality and makes them look energetic. I wouldn't wanna watch someone who basically looks like they're just standing on a stage with a lifeless expression.

I’m gonna see Beetlejuice in November and I can’t wait to see Elizabeth she’s made so much progress and really made Lydia her own I’m so excited to see her!!!

Elizabeth Teeter deserves at minimum a Tony Nom. I vastly prefer her take on Lydia.
I feel like Sofia had an angsty teen energy but Elizabeth really brings the youth of Lydia into the role. She has Weird Little Girl energy!

I feel like her belt is a lot more healthy. A bit more real grieving not just teenage angst coming through.
I don’t mean this in a mean way at all. Just observing, Elizabeth teeter moves around like a ton… too much for my taste, it’s all kinda pointless movements taking away from her amazing singing!

I love it - at first I didn’t but the more clips I watched the more i loved her version of the character. The movement highlights how she’s a passionate 15 year old girl who’s doesn’t have any control over her life, it’s like the stress she has built up is making her bounce off the walls. I love it.
In say my name she’s messing around with BJ and the added movement makes it so much funnier and shows how awesome lydia is - she’s not scared of a literal demon and enjoys messing with him.
I think the camera operator was right when they eventually zoomed back out a bit. It really exaggerated everything versus what you actually see in a live performance.
Maybe she was nervous.
The song needs movement for sure, in the show ik Lydia has lots of set to play around with so I’m guessing she moved a lot here to keep energy. Like before she sings ‘wake me when I’m 21’ she span in this but in the show she runs up a staircase and I’d guessing that helps build up lots of adrenaline for her big notes.
@@FleshGolem420 that’s a good point. Maybe it just felt too big for a video but on stage it would probably be perfect!
