Yes! Many people were saying that she sounds bad with the growls but in my opinion the growls are amazing because I think that's her understanding of the character. No one other Lydia showed Lydia's personality while singing(no hate to any actress playing Lydia!) while Sophia used her voice to express the feelings of the character. Lydia is not supposed to sound perfect, she's angry and frustrated about her mom leaving her, the screams and growls are adding authenticity to the character. Also people who are saying Sophia can't belt, in Lazarus she belted perfectly while being 14 years old and sitting on the floor. It just shows her talent as a singer and as an actress

I love it! The only thing I didn’t like was that it kinda sounded like Sophia was trying to out-sing Dana and Presley, but most of it their voices sounded good together!
Ava Claire I don’t think she was trying to out sing them, she probably got into character and you can see that Presley does the same when the chorus hits. They’re so used to singing it in character that you can see they’re acting/character coming out and embodying them.
I mean she may have tried to one up them, but it didn’t work so it’s fine 😂

There have been a few comments about them trying to out sing each other and I do see what they're talking about but to me it reads more like they're just giving everything they have to the vocals and not worrying about whether or not they sound nice because everybody's singing including the audience and it's a chance to let go and flat out scream if you want to so they're going oversized because they can and it's fun

i do agree but i’m sure she works with a vocal coach to do it in a safer way. also it’s very much her style of lydia and it adds a lot to the song (and all the other songs she sings in the musical)

Georgie. I see what you’re saying. I work with a vocal coach also and whenever ima starting to strain my voice she doesn’t let me sing. I understand it a part of Lydia’s character but that’s also a little bit of straining in her voice. I just think Sophia needs to try and belt in a safer way.

Honestly, I thought there would have been. One of the camera guys is Emilio just taking pictures, another is Jenny Anderson, but that other guy I believe did the professional shot for Mama Would, so I'm not sure why this one didn't get released.

After seeing the show with Sophia playing Lydia, I can say that this song is probably my favorite in the album. Watching all three of them singing with (I’m assuming) fans of the show makes me miss it even more and I will never forget that night that I spent at the Winter Garden. Truly amazing show and I hope to see it revived sometime in the future, whether is soon or not. 🖤🤍🖤🤍
