Amazing how much songs like this, from so far ago, still affects us. The America Got Talent and the Voice have singers who can hit notes that bounce off the ceiling. Yet, these songs are the ones that mean something to us.

This is one of the last appearances of his custom guild guitar made by carlo greco in 1970. so much of his early 70s sound came from that guitar. its long scale, 26 inches, much like the pre-war gibson sj200s. Creates a unique tone thats hard to imitate on "normal" scale guitars (25.5 inch is standard for most jumbos) for songs like rocky mountain high and fly away. He replaced it with the yamaha L53s in 1976 or 77. I think its still in his estate. Would love to see current high res photos.
