Seeing the title of this reminded me of something my uncle told me years ago about a circus attraction called "Man eating Chicken." Turns out it was nothing more than a man eating chicken, not the other way around.

Chicken is the animal name... Female chickens are called hens and male chickens are called roosters, but they're both chickens.
