    When you feel the baby coming don't push until you feel the labour pain . If you push without feeling the pain you will tear. Slow pushings as she says ...it's damn not easy but you have to be conscious! Which most times during labour your head is not working right ...you feel crazy.

    I think it don't depend on if you workout or not. It's about doing the most you can to avoid tearing. These tips are very good. Also if you can avoid the anesthesia. That way you push with the contractions not only when the doctor says. I've seen videos where they're screaming at the mom to push while she's on her back and then she tears. It's horrible. I think you should be the one to know how hard you should push and when. The doctors are there to guide only but if you don't have too much feeling you may overly trust the people around you saying harder "harder". One midwife told me not to push that I had to do it slower but I felt I had to push a bit harder so I did and my baby was born and she still said I pushed my baby slowly. I also applied olive oil every day after shower all over my body including the vulva. I think the more things you consciously do with a purpose the more chances you will feel confident that you will succeed. My first baby I had level one tear and it was really nothing and the second time nothing at all. Let's see the third time. I also get alot of opportunity to move alot during labor. For first and second pregnancy I monitored that I didn't go over the recommended weight gain so my babies were born 3 kilos. This time I'm not really monitoring but it seems about the same. My only exercise is walking and prenatal pilates from time to time. Food quality and water is super important.

      Hi I am 36 weeks and also conscious of tearing FTM by the way and the doctor said my baby is a little bigger for my size because he takes after his daddy. I am anxious and nervous. I also haven't decided yet if I'll get the epidural but I also don't wanna tear a lot. But you mentioned olive oil so I am curious. So any olive oil will do even the ones we use to cook?

    Everyone is different. It doesn’t matter how extremely healthy you are if you get vaginal tear you’ll get it, you’ll get it. Like a few of my friends who are fitness trainers they prefer vaginal labor but end it up c section and some they tried to avoid vaginal tear then they end up got one.

      That's what happened to me, Water birth in hospital and had 2nd degree tear. Legs wide apart, squatting. You can feel the burning/stinging when tearing from being in the water. 😭 I pushed hard at the end as I just wanted it over 😢 stitches are the worst. I'm pregnant with my 4th right now. Due in January 2024.

    You mentioned slow down the crowning process will that cause risk as baby needs to breathe? Thanks.

    • @ecmarguerite
      @ecmarguerite 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Baby is still connected to the placenta and is receiving oxygen because of it. The babies body begins processing oxygen from air once they take their first breath.

  • @alinemoran8301
    @alinemoran8301 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The way that she explains how to breath can lead you to hyperventilation. You need to have control of your breath to maintain focus and calm as much as you can. Deep breath is always better.
