- Almost every Dyson has a Trigger button. A button that you have to hold to keep the vacuum cleaner on. Recently I was asked if it is possible to lock this Dyson trigger button, so that it remains on. And if so, how do you do this. I did some research and discovered a handy gadget for your Dyson to lock the button: the Dyson Trigger Lock!

Good on u bro i was wondering why i have to keep pressing button all d time....😅
The link in order to purchase the trigger lock does not work. Help, please.
I have bought them. They break and are flimsy. We need a stronger metal one.
Gen 5 and the slim have an on and off switch. You'll be pleased to know. Automatic detection and automatic max mode are the next generation. They're going smart technology. Triggers will be a thing of the past. Boost mode will be automatic to your detect floor needs
I want to know if a trigger lock interferes with your finger. I guess what I'm trying to ask is: Is it awkward is it to hold the vacuum with trigger lock there? Does it get in the way of your finger? Because it doesn't seem like there's enough room for all four fingers underneath the trigger area.
I have had the trigger lock on my Dyson V11 for over 2 years and it doesn't create a problem for me. My trigger lock is a little different from the one shown in this video but it covers the trigger about the same and converts the trigger into a side push-in-pull-out manual lever/switch of sorts. My trigger lock works well and I prefer to keep it on most of the time but I also normally don't use the vacuum like most do because I also bought a hose for my vacuum and I sit my vacuum on the ground and only hold and move the hose while vacuuming. I guess that also explains why I have absolutely no problem with the lock covering the trigger, but I have used the vacuum with it in hand and kept the lock on and it was fine. All that said, it is easy to take the lock off and put back on whenever you want.
But is it really safer? I can't tell you how many times I've handled the machine only to accidentally press that trigger button.
Can you share the details on where you purchased the trigger lock?
amazon
I bought it, this is crap!!!!!
So let me get this straight, this entire video is about why Dysons HAVE a trigger button? Who cares? People have issues on holding a trigger button DOWN to activate it???
I actually would like to know how to REPLACE the trigger on your model I see in the BEGINNING.
v8 or sv10 I am referring to. Thank you.
Inglish please
This thick accent is so cringe 😂
Coming from someone who can't even spell English lmao
Get over yourself
Stupid feature made by design team not living in the real world, who compares drilling a few holes with vaccum an entire home.
I will not buy a Dyson due to this trigger button.
