This method may also work with footstools, tables, benches, outdoor plastic, multiple chairs, concrete pool lawn ornaments, etc.
Don't hire a pressure cleaner, you can do it yourself easily. You may want to clean the slide on you kids swingset as well. Just be aware that if you use green and her bleach it is important to rinse all of it off very thoroughly after. Good job man--so many people just throw these away when they get like that--this is easy way to keep them out of landfill!

Bleach will get the whiteness to return but it will likely still have the oxidized surface. Simply use old school SOS (brand)steel wool pads and some elbow grease and rinse with water. Plastic oxidizes in the sun and actually damages the plastic surface. We need to physically remove this oxidation (I tried ScotchBrite - too much work) to get down to the clear plastic below. If desired, apply car wax to help protect the plastic. It's really a good idea to store them out of direct sun when not using but these are simply cheap chairs (nice, but cheap) and I just leave them sit outside anyway and clean them when needed. :)
I have very expensive white design chairs in my garden and they are almost black spotted. Tried bleach and oxalic acid that we use to clean the boat but nothing works anymore

I lined up 9 chairs. They were gross and disgusting. I was just going to clean them and spray paint them with Krylon paint. So to start I tried TSP, Clorox Clean up, Ajax, nothing worked…. Until I used plain old bleach. I brought them into the house to was in the shower. They came out so clean I decided I didn’t need to paint them after all. Had to scrub like crazy but I finally did it.

Auparavant j'avais essayé le Karcher mais ça n'avait pas été conclant car les moisissures s'étaient installées depuis plus de 3 ans. J'allais jeter mes chaises. Merci beaucoup. Certains me diront que ce n'est pas écologique mais racheter de nouvelles chaises en plastique l'est davantage ? Mercii encore.

Fill an 18 gallon tote with potting soil, set on chair, and plant a raised garden
How much water. soap, & bleach (recipe amounts)? We have some Suncrest storage benches & seats that are very dirty, nothing previously worked.
Just go buy 30 seconds cleaner and watch it melt away. Best stuff on the market

The video would have been better and more satisfying to watch if you actually showed the grime and mold being washed off rather than skipping and cutting to the end result.

You cant use a pressure washer like you suggested It will make the plastic all rough like sandpaper
I owned a pressure cleaning business for years, you can use it, you need to be careful with the pressure cleaner as with pressure cleaning most things.
Looks nice, but he used 2 different chairs. That's why he jumps to a clean chair so fast instead of showing a gradual transformation.

We tried this on some white plastic chairs that my mom was going to throw away. They'd been at her beach cabin and looked awful. This process worked so well they looked like brand new and they're still being used.

Problem with bleach is that the plastic fibres are damaged and when you sit on the chair you have fibre pieces in your legs and arms for days.
