@@aerochicc it’s the chemical reaction in these two ingredients that makes it bubble. I try to save money, and time. When I read that these two chemicals cancel each other out leaving you with a salt water. I switched to making a baking soda paste with water to apply first. It’s important to give this time to sit before adding your vinegar. I found this out by accident. I have a plastic white table outside that someone had given me. It was covered in stains and mold. I tried baking soda and vinegar, but it never quite did the trick. Bleach did, but I don’t like using it because of the fumes, and how harsh of a cleaner it is. Not to mention you have to be very careful to not add bleach to most household products such as baking soda, alcohol, vinegar or ammonia. I could have used way less of baking soda and vinegar, not to mention time and energy, scrubbing if I had just learned to let the baking soda sit before adding vinegar.
Do I detect a N.C. accent? My friend had a white outdoor fabric lounge chair where the cushion never moved and created a nasty mold spot, I've been soaking it with baking soda and spraying a generous amount of vinegar and letting it expose to the sunlight; improvement. Glad your trick worked out for ya : )
I made this mistake for a long time. I didn’t realize how much time and effort that I was wasting by trying to combine both of these at the same time. The chemistry of these actually cancel each other out. That’s why you see the bubbling action when you combine them. But to get the best bang for your buck with baking soda and vinegar…. make a paste with water and baking soda first. Then, let itset. When you’re ready to wash it down, you can squirt it with striped vinegar. The only time using both of these together is when you’re spot cleaning laundry to lift up a stain that is on the surface of a fabric. Even in this scenario, I found that putting the baking soda with a little bit of water on it first, and then adding the vinegar will get deeper set in stains.
“Im adding water to make a paste of the baking soda”(*i’m not really making a paste, just wetting it so it clumps and comes off easier*). “I’m scrubbing the chair with my dish brush”(*im not really scrubbing the chair, just wiping the baking soda off*). Can you contradict yourself ay more? Good grief. Why not say what you actually mean to begin with? Wouldn’t that be simpler and quicker? Can you just not do that? What a ridiculous video.
I would like to thank you for a wonderful video quick and easy, Thank you 🙏
You are so welcome!
nice
I wud use sieve or colander for even sprinkle of baking soda.☺
Great idea!
did you rinse it??
I manage to clean mine by using a jet washer . Less effort and amazing result .
It can easily weaken the fabric AND metal if not careful.

COSTCO sells a big bag for around $6.00. Super Bargain!!! That and vinegar are amazing cleansers and staples in our house!!
Thanks for the tip!
very smart idea.
Does white vinegar help too? Maybe as an additional cleaning application after the baking soda?
I haven't tried vinegar, but it is usually good for removing stains and smells!
I just used white vinegar on mine (in addition) and it gave things a supercharged fizzy clean! Love it!

@@aerochicc I don’t share this to try to contradict anyone. I just know I wish I had found this information sooner. I hope this helps someone.
I like the filler music playing while letting the baking soda sit.

Backing soda is a abrasive (abrasive stuff cleans when you scrub), letting it sit was unnecessary step.
Where do you get the sprinkler container.
They sent me the shaker, but you can easily use an old parmesan cheese shaker or a large salt/pepper shaker :)
i would of used vinegar with that cause it would of cleaned up faster, and you could wash it off quicker.
