  • I go to the famous sunday flea market of Tripoli. There, I meet Hamed, we talk, and we visit the market together, and then Hamed proposes me to drive me around the city. So we go together to the abandoned special events area built by Oscar Niemeyer, before driving around the city and the mina. I end up spending several hours with a man I didn't know before starting this video.

Hi Mohammad. I'm Lebanese and writing from Lebanon. I wrote Yves asking about Hamed. "I think he'd appreciate an idea I have to develop a business with his knowledge of flea markets in Tripoli". If you think it's acceptable, I would appreciate if you could share his email address. Thanks brother

    Hello, am from Kenya.
What I see from your travels and love is the humanity in people you meet , love it.
    Language is no barrier.
The politicians are our collective hindrance to the oneness of our universe. Love to see turkey people, Lebanese, Syrians the Sudanese, Ethiopians and of course my good people of Kenya.

    Hello 👋
Hamed is the type of person who you really
want to meet whilst traveling in a foreign
country on your own !! He looked and sounded a well educated and a professional honest type of lad !! One who would 👀 look after the security side of the trip !!
I would easily spend my time with him traveling around trying to better understand
the cultural side of the place !!
Not sure what, or where he is now - or doing
with his live - however I hope 🤞 he is being
    successful with it.
I wonder if he managed to finish his University
Degree 📜 👨‍🎓 or if he is still trying to make a small living selling on the watches from the market.
Good luck Hamed - the world 🌎 is a beautiful and better place with you in it !! You should try and get into the traveling around of your City with tourists - I am sure you would definitely be a success !!
    Thanks 🙏

Great action shots of one busy town! No rules for bikes 👍.. impressive how they just go thru traffic not even touching people or cars..
Edited very nice.. you could’ve easily left ‘first ending of video’ out.. but it’s awesome you didn’t 😄 it was unexpected and very refreshing

The square house with arches is the ticketing counters and/or exhibition space I'm not sure. The dome is an experimental theatre. The circular platform is a heliport. The small tower is a VIP restaurant with kitchen. The big arch overlooks the entrance to a big seating area which faces a stage (which has a shell above). All the basins and canals are that surround the structures are supposed to be filled with water (yay mosquitos)

I make like a chocolate drink only I use carob. It is like chocolate, but milder (and dogs can have it, it’s not toxic for them, so dog choco is made from it). I take plant milk, carob powder, sweetener and icecubes and blend it. Very yummy! 🤗

Was in Tripoli for a few days years ago. It was very intense and chaotic I thought. Taxi drivers were a headache to haggle with. But the Chicken Towuk sandwiches were so tasty! Interesting city. But felt very tense when I was there. Gunfire could be heard from El Tabbannah area. And it was after the bombing of the Mosque by a few months. But hopefully it's calm now. People were very friendly. And weather was super good. What did the kids do with grabbing your arm?. Were they trying to stop you?

I am really sorry, but I don't have his phone number, or social media... we didn't exchange any personal details.
